    The Timeline
    Of The Gun:

Chapter 1: The Death of Dax

He looked up at the building and saw the figure standing there. Dax knew it was him. Dax stood there with his black hair blowing with the wind. His cloak was still, though. The building was the tallest in the city, it overlooked it by three times the size of the second tallest building.

Gandolorian smiled as he saw his opponent walk into the building. His pathetic sword was no match for himself. Dax was going to fall this time, he would not win.

Dax stood alone on the way up in the elevator, he thought about all the hate that Gandolorian had brought out through the city. Gand did not deserve to live, but Dax wasn’t the killing type of person. Maybe, just this once…

Gandolorian walked to the edge of the building glaring down at the crowd below. They would soon witness the death of Dax, the man could protect them no longer from him. This was the final battle, the one to end them all. He was filled with hate. Hate for human beings. Hate for his parents. Hate for humanity.

123rd floor, 124th floor, 125th floor… It was time. Dax readied his sword. He was on the highest floor to the roof. Now he just had to walk up the stairs and there would be Gandolorian. Dax gritted his teeth. He wanted Gand dead more than anyone else as he slowly made his way up the stairs.

Gandalorian readied his android ship to pick him up in approximately ten minutes. This would not last long.

Dax walked through the door to the roof, and there he was…

“Hello, Dax, my old friend.” Said Gandolorian in a small chuckle.

“You are not my friend, you coward.” Said Dax pulling off his cloak.

“Coward am I?” Said Gandolorian pulling out a mantra gun.

Dax lunged forward at Gand with his giant metal sword. But he was too quick for him. Dax blocked the mantra rays of the gun eight times a second as he ran towards Gand with his sword.

Gandolorian still had to back up as Dax ran at him full throttle dodging and hitting all of the rays that he was throwing at him. He’s going to miss one of them. Any second now he’ll be down on the ground in agony grasping for his very life.

Dax still blocking was thinking of it as though it were simply going in slow motion. He was speeding at his nemesis so fast that Gand was almost tripping over his own cloak.

    Any second now he’ll miss…

“I’m not going to let you win, Gand.” Said Dax still dodging in quarter-seconds.

“Ahh… I think you are mis-understanding the concept, you will die.” Said Gandolorian firing at Dax.

“Not tonight.” Said the swordsman now dodging faster.

“The last sword in existence will not defeat me.” Said Gand. “Surely you must be kidding yourself.”

Dax was throwing himself harder than ever at Gandolorian. He had never wanted to beat him more. He was so angry.

“You murderer!” Said Dax almost in tears thinking about all of the people he had slayed.

“I’m a murderer now, am I? I’m simply a business man. I’m all about money, you know.”

“You’re a murderer in my book.” Said Dax trying to get at least one hit at Gandolorian.

And just then the mantra beam hit Dax’s sword and sent it flying off of the building.

    Dax stood.

“You know, Dax. I’m actually rethinking what I said a few minutes ago. I have to say I enjoy the sheer terror in the people’s eyes right before I kill them. And since you aren’t going to tell anyone else, I’m going to let you in on a little secret of mine.” Gandolorian smiled.

Dax looked around quickly for something to grab. Something. Something!

Then he heard a sound as though it were coming right from Gandolorian. It was charging up or something.

And then he saw it. A gigantic bright orange blast come from Gandolorian’s stomach. It sent Dax flying off of the building and down into the streets of crowded people below.

Even from above Gandolorian could hear the screams confirming that his body had hit the ground almost a minute later. His Android ship arrived and a man in a helmet and costume that was all black bent over to give Gandolorian a hand.

“Thank you, Tristan Bay. Tell my associates that I will be there to discuss the death of Dax momentarily.”

    “Yes, sir.” Bay replied.

The ship flew away just as dozens of police crowded out onto the roof. “Stop him!”

They pulled out their Ray guns and began shooting at the escaping craft. They fired many times to try and stop the ship from escaping.

Pok Lite was at the front of the Android ship controlling it. He was also in a black suit just as Tristan Bay’s was.

“Lite, fly faster we need to get out of here!”

The cops stopped firing. Gandolorian had once again escaped authority.

Just that moment a man named Roran woke up and looked over at his beloved girl-friend in fright.

    Chapter 2: Roran

“Baby, what is it?” Said his elf girlfriend with every characteristic of a human except for pointed ears. She was incredibly beautiful. She used the covered of the bed to cover her breasts.

“Oh, nothing. I don’t know, Connie. I love you. I’m sorry for awakening you. Bad dream or something.” Said Roran, sweating head to toe with his dark red hair almost looking black from it being wet.

“You’re sweatin’ like a pig, hon’.”

“I’m gonna try to get some sleep, I had a late night at the Times.” Said Roran wiping his forehead with his hand.

“You work too hard on that newspaper. World War IX is over, chill out. It’s been like a year. The country is even helping China rebuild themselves.” Said Connie.

“Guns are too relied on, I think that’s what started the war.” Said Roran sleepily. He lay down again.

“Okay, lets get some sleep. It’s what weekends are for.” She said smiling. Even with bed head she was pretty.

Roran fell into dreamless sleep with his arms around his girlfriend. She was warm.

Roran woke up the next day. He had sweat even more over the night, but nothing had come to his attention. He decided to go get something to eat. He checked his day planner for Saturday.

“Honey, what’s the date?” He said.

    “June 7, 9003.”

“Thanks, Con.” And he walked out the door.

    “Roran?”

Roran looked at the New York Times building. He didn’t have to work there on Saturday or Sunday, but he had in mind an article about the discovery of a whole bunch of oil found on Mercury. They had constructed new astronaut suits that could withstand the highest heat and the lowest temperature.

“Hey, buddy, you gonna buy anything?” Roran looked over at a street vendor rushing him. “We got Storman, Guide-Week, New York Daily, CatFancy.

“Uhh, just the Guide, Norbert.” Said Roran, not wanting to dissapoint the man, even though he didn’t even want the Guide-Week all that bad.

Roran looked back behind him where the street vendor was and saw a cute news lady talking into a camera.

“Our defender from many enemies, such as the Besin Invasion, and Drone Attack, Dax has fallen. He was killed at the New York Times building. His body was blasted off of the building by an unknown cause. We have a policeman here who witnessed it. Police Chief Barnum Rosshure, Chief?” Reported the News Lady.

“Well, Lee Ann, we can’t give any information out about the man our hero encountered, but he was the reason Dax was killed.” The Police Chief looked around as though he had already given out too much info.

“So did he have some kind of giant gun?”

“Something like that, yeah.” The Police Chief nodded his head and then walked away.

“More at Nine.” The camera-man turned off the camera and they got in a car that pulled up that said Channel 6 News.

It was a cold June night Connie didn’t wear her usual little sexy skimpy outfits. She was dressed up warm with a sweatshirt and pajama bottoms.

She had been watching 6 News Special Report. “Hey, Roran!” Who she saw in the background.

Connie was sitting alone in hers and Rorans condo waiting waiting for her boyfriend to get home.

    She decided to hologram him.

Roran felt some vibrating in his pocket. He pulled out the hologram phone he pressed the Verizon Wireless button and saw his girlfriend appear. “Where are you? I’m guessing you are near the Channel 6 News Van.”

“Oh, you saw me?” Said Roran.

“Yeah, I’m getting bored waiting for you to come home!” She said.

“Oh, well I’ll be there in a about an hour.”

“An hour?” The hologram looked to be mad. “An hour? I want you to be home now!”

“Well, I have to get this artic-.” Roran stopped dead.

The hologram of Connie gasped. “What? Are you at the times?”

    “Oh, no.”

“I told you this is the weekend! Get home now, Roran!” Said Connie.

    “Yes, dear.” Said Roran.

Roran packed some of his things up and walked out the door of the 23rd floor.

“See ya later, Roran.” Said one his co-workers.

He got into the elevator and looked up at the clock. 10:30. No wonder Connie was mad.

Roran walked out of the building and looked at everything that was going on. Then he saw a man pointing a gun at an old man. The old man gave him his money and the thug ran away.

“Hey, pal!” Yelled Roran, concerned. The man did not even look back.

Roran jumped down the stairs and ran after the crook. The crook looked behind him and saw that someone was after him.

“Come back here!” Roran listened to what he said. People always said that in the movies. Like the robber was actually going to come back.

The thug looked behind him again as they entered an ally. He threw a knife behind to try and get Roran to stop, it didn’t even come close to him. And then the man turned around and shot a laser at Roran. Roran dropped to his knees and incredibly dodged it.

“Oh, my gosh.” Roran knew that this was not his battle. But this was a gun’s. He kept running after the crook. He wasn’t recently carrying a gun.

The crook checked behind himself again. “You don’t give up do ya?” The crook threw something over his back. And then saw a street vendor. He was selling guns. Which was legal now that guns were so relied. And then something exploded. It sent Roran flying.

He hit the ground quite bruised. This had started simply as getting an old man’s money back. Roran didn’t know why he kept going but he did. He was about to kill himself over another man’s money. But he kept going. He rolled over to the street vendor and tossed him a 20 dollar bill and grabbed a Raygun. The best he could get for a twenty.

Roran got up again and saw the thug turning left from an ally way. He saw the building that he would be in front of right now. Roran saw a fire escape on the building. He hustled to it knowing time was short. He climbed up it quickly.

Roran reached the roof in a matter of seconds. He went to the other side of the top of the building. And saw the man already past the building. He looked over to the next building which wasn’t very far away. He jumped to the next one and ran past it with the burglar. And to the next one just barely ahead of the burglar.

Roran fired a ray at the burglar’s leg. It missed, then he fired another ray at his arm. This slowed him down and Roran amazingly jumped off of the one-story building and tackled the Thug.

Roran grabbed the thug by his collar. “Now, do you want to re-think giving the money back to the old man?”

The robber couldn’t believe what happened. “What are you, some kind of cop?”

    “No. Just a stupid civilian.”

Roran grabbed the money back from the thug. And dropped him on the ground.

Roran soon arrived back to the place where the old man had been. He was explaining to the cops what the robber looked like.

“Officers, I stopped the man who robbed him. I witnessed it and got the money back.” Said Roran.

“Why’d you do that? Is this old man a friend of yours?”

Roran looked around. And felt puzzled. “No.”

“Well, then why?” Asked the police officer.

“I don’t know.” And with that, Roran walked off. He looked at his hologram phone which had the time on it. 11:30. “Oh, shit.”

Roran walked into the door of the apartment. He walked into the bedroom and saw that Connie was already asleep. She left a note for him.

    Roran,

Whatever you did, I hope it was important. I have an early day tomorrow, so I went to bed early. I love you,
    Connie

P.S. The Editor-in-Chief called you about an article.

Roran set the note down and went to the fridge to fix himself a sandwich. Their condo was ocean side. He looked at the waves rushing in and floating back out. He couldn’t believe what he did. He probably should have just stayed out of it.

Roran knew he wasn’t going to get any sleep tonight.

    Chapter 3: The Walking Gun

There wasn’t anything for him there. Gandolorian searched the office.

“We’re leaving, men. There are no sign of the files of me. We can’t have the police searching for me, like this.” Said Gand walking out of the station.

    ----------------------------------

The policeman woke up. James Gardner had no idea what happened, but he knew that there was someone in the building. He ran into the next room. And saw a few thugs and a man in cloak walking out of the Police Station.

“Stop right there!” He yelled pointing his gun at them.

The men readied their guns but the cloaked man held his finger up, signaling them not to fire. He turned around and James saw a muffler over his face and hardly any skin showing, he saw glowing green eyes. The man had one hand and the other was a gun. Wait, was it strapped on?

“Hello, my friend. What brings you bothering us?” Said the hooded man in the cloak.

“You - you are all under arrest.” Said the terrified policeman still holding his gun up.

“Under arrest? I’m sorry, but you are terribly mistaken. You may begin firing, men.” Immediately green, blue and red beams emerged from their guns. James Gardner ran for his life. He turned the corner quickly and heard the noise closing in faster. He ran down the hall that lead from the corner.

The men ran faster, not wanting the cop to escape, because then there would be a new file of Gandolorian. They saw the cop down the hall.

James fired his gun behind his back. It made suppressed sounds that were almost like CHEWW. He dived behind the file cabinet. As the men ran forward he shot some of them down. He wasn’t just called a police officer, he was trained for the title as well.

Gandolorian’s troopers were being killed quickly. Gand looked at them falling to the ground. “Stop!” The men stopped firing and running towards the file cabinet, but the cop kept firing.

“We do not need to fire at him mindlessly. Tristan, throw the grenade.” Said Gandolorian.

“Yes, sir.” Tristan had been working for Gand for five years now. Many times he had been reluctant to do some of the tasks his boss had appointed to him, but he got paid greatly. Tristan launched the grenade off of his hand as it hit the cabinet the police officer was behind and bounced for a second. Any time now.

James heard something hit the cabinet. He checked to see what it was. “Grenade!” He couldn’t stop himself from saying it. He took off just as it exploded. His head hit the floor, and just as he looked up through the smoke, he saw colorful rays coming at him.

Gardner got up and opened the door that he was close too, and cruised out of it. The troopers kept following him as he opened the door to his Subaru ship-craft. He backed it out and started flying away from the station.

“Get in your ships, he hasn’t escaped yet.” Said Gandolorian watching the ship soar away from the station as they watched in the parking lot and his troops loaded into their crafts.

“Tristan, ready my shuttle.” Said Gandolorian, hoping to catch the cop himself.

Tristan Bay was adjusting his helmet. “It is ready, Gand.”

“Thank you.” He climbed into it, with Pok Lite piloting it. “Thank you, Lite, I will be taking it over from here.

    “Yes, sir.”

Gand sat down and strapped himself in. He looked at his screen. “He’s still in monitor range, we can still catch him.” He flew up into the night and saw his target getting closer.

James looked behind him and saw a shuttle closing in on him. “This oughta slow him down.” James pulled a latch down and a bomb went flying out of the back.

“Look out its a bomb!” Yelled Pok Lite. But the bomb wasn’t a regular bomb, it was a smoke bomb. It was blacked out everywhere.

“Dammit, turn the lights on!” Yelled Gandolorian.

    “They are on.” Said Tristan.

“Turn the brights on!” Said Gand.

    “They are on.”

James flew faster away from the smoke, he looked behind him and saw a few more ships coming out of it. But the shuttle was still searching its way out of the cloud.

James flew over a street light and he heard rays from the ships being fired at him. It was rocking his ship, and then it made his ship do an ariel. “Oh, shit.” It was headed for the ground. It made a whizzing sound and then it hit. It landed near an alley

“He’s shot down. Close in on him for the kill.”

James pushed his door open and it fell off. He crawled out of his ship-craft, he slowly got up and ducked behind his ship. He saw ships looking for him.

James decided he was going to escape at that moment. He hustled through the ally and saw a ship waiting for him. “Oh, no.” It fired at him as he ran away. Blue rays inches away from hitting him. He dived back behind his ship.

James turned around to the opposite of the alley and cruised. He knew he couldn’t escape but he couldn’t help but run. And then it was over. The shuttle came down in front of him, and one of the ships came down behind him.

The man with the muffler came out of the shuttle. “Hello, officer. I dare say that you wasted our time with that little chase. No worries, though. You will be secured in one of our facilities to keep watch of you.”

“Screw you!” Said James and spit in his face.

Gandolorian wiped it off of his face as his eyes glowed green. “Take him away, men.”

    -------------------------

Roran was back to his job on Monday. He was walking through the office, on his way to lunch.

“Hey, Roran. I heard about you stopping that crook. Did you get paid or something?” Said one of his co-workers.

Roran paused for a moment. “No. I just did it.” And then he walked off.

“Whoa, you couldn’t catch me doin’ that if your life depended on it.”

Roran sat down in the break room and pulled out his sandwich. He began eating it when he saw a hooded man walk by. He looked very suspicious. Roran waited until he passed by and then stood up and peeked around the corner and began following him.

The man wasn’t doing anything except walking. He didn’t talk to anybody, and Roran had never seen him at The New York Times Building in his life. The man walked to his friend Darricks desk and opened a cabinet filed “G” on it.

He obviously wasn’t supposed to be there. Roran walked up to him. “Excuse me, sir.” The man turned his head around. “Can I help you?”

He turned his body around and his cloak revealed part of his body. It couldn’t be that. Roran saw something that horrified him. It couldn’t be…

“Oh, no. I was just looking for something.” Said the hooded, cloaked man. He held up his hand while he was talking. He was holding a gun!

“Sir, guns are not allowed in here!” Said Roran thinking about what he saw on his stomach.

“Guns? Oh, yes. Excuse me. I will leave.” He said walking into the elevator.

Then, Roran’s friend Darrick ran up. “I saw that man earlier! He has a gun!”

“No, Darrick!” Right as the elevator door was about to close, Roran saw a gigantic orange blast come straight from the man’s stomach.

“Darrick!” Screamed Roran. He ran to the elevator door but it was closed. He pressed the button over and over again. He wasn’t going to catch him like this. Roran ran to his desk where he had a Ray-gun in his drawer. Guns weren’t allowed, but Roran wasn’t exactly one to stick to rules too well. The Times Building was the only building except for one other that didn’t allow guns.

Roran grabbed his gun and got into the next elevator. He looked at where the hooded man’s elevator was at. 56th floor. He was at the 61st. “Damn.”

Gandolorian knew there would be cops waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs, it would not matter, he would just blast them away.

The murderer was at the 42nd floor, Roran was at the 47th floor.

Gandolorian radioed his shuttle. “Get it ready, right when I get there, Pok.”

Roran wasn’t going to stand waiting like this. He looked up at the top of the elevator. There was a grill that he could open and jumpe to the next shaft. It was five floors though. He was going to do it. He would slide down on the rope that held the elevator.

Gandolorian waited for the elevator to get to the bottom impatiently. 29th floor.

    Roran slid down the rope.

Gandolorian heard a bump on the top of the elevator.

Roran put his hand down, complete with ray-gun and started firing.

Gandolorian observed the hand slide down, until it started firing at him. One of the green rays hit him the shoulder. “Aghhh!” He punched through the top of the elevator and felt his hand around as Roran fired blindly around. Then he punched Roran in the face.

This sent him off of the elevator and he grabbed onto the side for dear life.

    Gandolorian charged up his stomach.

Roran saw a blast go through the shaft and jumped up onto the very top of the side of the elevator just in time.

Gandolorian saw the man through the blast that he made through the elevator. He put his hand out and grabbed Roran’s leg.

Roran pointed his gun right at the arm and fired.

“Agghh!” Gand screamed in anger. He pointed his other hand, which was a gun at Roran.

Roran dodged a beam of red, and then to his horror he looked down to see another elevator coming up about to hit him. But then he though that he could take advantage of this. Just as the elevator was about to hit him, Roran let go of the other elevator that the hooded man was in and landed on the ascending elevator. Roran threw one of his sensors used to get good storylines on people on Gand which he didn’t notice and then it was time to do his work.

As the elevator Roran was on went up and the other went down, he shot the rope that held the hooded man’s up and watched the rope snap and the elevator plummet.

Roran hacked and coughed, he breathed hard watching the elevator disappear down the shaft. He kicked the grill open at the top of the elevator he was on and hopped down into it.

Gandolorian emerged from the elevator all the way down into the basement. He looked up at where Roran was. “You are going to regret that very much.”

Roran walked out of the New York Times Building. And looked at the crime scene. The policeman walked up to him. “Somebody told us you saw the murderer. Who was he?”

Roran wiped some blood off of his lip. “The walking gun.”

    Chapter 4: Connie

Connie lay down in her bed. She had been very worried about Roran chasing after that thug. He came home very bruised and bloody. She picked up the remote control and turned on her televisionzen.

She saw a news reporter man come on screen and start talking. “Here at the New York Times Building a man has been blasted out of the 50th floor and a man who works here named Roran has stopped a man that he calls a “Walking gun”.”

“Oh, Roran.” Just then she heard the door open. “Speak of the devil, honey. I just barely saw them mention you.”

She saw a man in a cloak who was probably not Roran. “They mentioned me? And Roran didn’t stop me, I’m here aren’t I?”

Connie screamed and ran in to one of their rooms.

“Tristan, this is getting irritating, please bring her to me.” Said Gandolorian.

“Yes, sir.” Bay walked into the room with a gun and they heard a blast.

“Agghhh!” She screamed as he dragged her out. He had shot her in the leg.

“I’m not going to waste time, so goodbye, my dear.” He said charging his stomach up once again.

“Why are you doing thi--.” The blast killed her, she was dead.

Roran walked into his condo. “Sweety, you may have may have seen me in the news. Sweety?” He walked over to the counter, and saw a note.

    Roran,
You couldn’t possibly thought I died in the shaft, could you?

    I’ve found out about you,

    Your friend,
    Gandolorian

“Honey? Connie!” Roran ran into their room, terrified. And then he saw it, her corpse laying there. Eyes open. “Nooooooo!”

Roran grabbed his ray-gun out of his pocket. He couldn’t help but say it. “You are going to die, Gandolorian. And I’m going to be the one to kill you.” He walked out the door. His quest had begun.

    Chapter 5: Mercedes’ Father

    “Noooooo!”

Mercedes ducked behind her couch as the ceiling exploded. Her father, Penetros jumped on the floor and ran into the next room. And then the thing that had made that ceiling explode floated down and revealed itself to be a shuttle.

And then the man walked out of it. It was indeed, Gandolorian.

“No, Gandolorian, you can’t do this. It wasn’t my wife’s fault. She was in business with a man who owed you money and he was killed in a car accident along with her. Please!” Said Penatros.

“I do not care. Some one pays for that money, and the closest person to that man would be you, wouldn’t it?” Said Gand.

Mercedes looked out at her father. She was helping him running away from Gandolorian, but it seemed that this would be the end.

Gandolorian pointed his hand (which was a gun) at Penatros and fired.

Mercedes’ father fell down to the floor.

Roran flew in his ship towards where his sensor was leading him. Bingo, a house down in Reverton St.

Gandolorian walked back into his shuttle. “Well, men, we have had a very progressive day. Let’s go home and rest.” Then he saw Roran’s head sticking out of a ship’s window. He fired at some of the troops, finishing them off. “Apparently not.” Said Gand.

Mercedes was behind the couch still, she couldn’t she just saw her father get killed. She gripped her Disk-Gun tightly. And then she leaped out from behind the couch and shot one at Gandolorian.

The disk sunk into his shoulder spraying some blood. “Aghhh!” He turned around firing some rays at the couch. He hurried into his shuttle and it flew off. Just then, Roran jumped out of his ship and fired his ray-gun at some troopers.

Mercedes saw him, and obviously knew he was good. She stood up to run over to him but then:

“Hold it right there!” One of Gandolorian’s men was pointing a gun at her. “C’mon stay there.”

Roran saw one last Gandolorian Trooper coming at him and kicked him in the face, then shot him.

“Help!” Yelled Mercedes. The trooper turned around and tried to fire at Roran but by that time he already had a ray through his head.

Roran jumped down to Mercedes, he was almost dumbstruck by how beautiful she was. With brown hair, brown eyes and a beautiful face. Not to mention a fantastic body.

    “Whoa.” Said Roran.

    “What?” She said.

“Uh… Are you okay?” He replied.

“Yeah, but my father isn’t.” She said.

    “Gandolorian?” Said Roran.

    “Yes.”

“He killed my girlfriend.” Said Roran. “So, I’m going to kill him.”

Mercedes looked up at him. He knew she felt the same way he did.

    “What’s your name?” Said Roran.

“Mercedes, I’ve decided I am going to help you kill Gandolorian.” She said.

“What? I don’t think that would be safe for you.” Said Roran.

“Nah, my father and I have been dealing with him for almost a year now. Plus, I’m very good with a Disc-Gun.”

“Then, you will come with me; we will eliminate him, and I will never look back. I don’t know about you.” Said Roran.

    “Who are you?” She asked.

“I’m Roran Vam. I worked at the New York Times Building, and my friend was killed there by him. After that he killed her. So, I want him dead more than anything in the world.” Said Roran.

“Let’s get out of here.” Said Mercedes.

Roran helped her up, and they boarded his ship. They flew off into the evening.

    Chapter 6: Vengeance

James Gardner sat in the room. If he even got up the tasers would shock him. He couldn’t believe this was happening, not him, he was a good police officer with a beautiful wife and a baby on the way. He went to church and donated money to hospitals.

He heard a clank on the door and the tasers shut off. He got up and walked over. A slot under the door opened up and in slid three pieces of bread and leftover dog food. He picked up the bread and started eating it. He was starting to grow a beard because he couldn’t shave much.

James had to eat the dog food this time, he was getting very lean from eating so little. He couldn’t eat the dog food before, it was well… for dogs. It was also made in foreign countries in a half-ass manner.

This time he had to, though. He was going to die soon if he didn’t. His glass of water slid in and he picked it up and started drinking. He saw the sign that said: ON/OFF turn back to ON again. Which meant the tasers had been turned on again.

James Gardner lay back and went to sleep.

    ---------------------------------------

Mercedes took out a map. It was how to get to Gandolorian’s hideout and then another map under it was a map of the hideout.

She leaned over and showed it to Roran. “How did you get these?” He asked.

“I grabbed them from a trooper in a battle with Gand a few months ago, just before firing a disc into his neck.” She said smiling.

“Youch.” He looked at her and smiled. He was already falling in love with her.

They sat in Roran’s ship navigating, as they flied, their way to Gand’s hideout. Mercedes looked up at Roran. He examined the map and then looked over at her. They stared at each other in silence for about twenty seconds before hearing a big BEEP! A shuttle was coming right at them.

“Agh!” Roran grabbed the steering wheel and moved out of the way. “Whoa.” He panted. “That was close.”

Roran then saw the headquarters. A sign on the front said Alpha-Base. It was heavily armored and apparently, as Mercedes had told him, a taken over military base that the police nor the government know about. Gandolorian and his men killed all of the commanding officers.

They parked the ship across the street.

“Are you ready?” Said Roran holding his raygun.

Mercedes put several disc shells in her pocket. “It would take me forty-five minutes of straight shooting to empty this gun. Lets go kick some ass.”

They walked up to the fence around the base. It was electrified. “How are we going to get through here?” Asked Roran.

Mercedes examined her map, she scrolled down on the screen. “A certain area of fence here is non-electric.” She walked over quietly and ducked down. “It should be right here.” She looked at Roran.

He looked back at her. “Are you sure?”

    “Pretty sure, yeah.”

Roran looked at one of the trees nearby, the street they were on wasn’t very busy, which gave them an advantage. “Okay, here goes.” He edged his hand a little closer every second.

Mercedes watched. She thought she was about to fall asleep. “Well c’mon, hurry up already.” This made Roran jump and he fell against the fence.

He panted hard. “Well, I guess its safe.”

They climbed over the fence and jumped behind some bushes on the inside of the facility. They saw two guards standing near the gate. They had two big guns.

Mercedes looked at Roran and then took out her disc-gun and shot a disc into the first guards head.

“What the hell-Blughh.” The guard was quickly silenced with a disc launched into his mouth. He fell to the street.

The two of them snuck into the basement together.

The Government detective’s name was Seth Banno. He was assigned to find out what this man-Roran Vam- was doing. They had assigned him to it when his girlfriend was killed. They knew he was up to something, now they were positive. Sneaking into a Marine Corp unit with a gun.

He climbed over the fence and saw them climb into a ventalating shaft that led down into the basement. If he was caught, he would simply show them his badge and explain everything about the imposter, but right now he had to stay secret.

Detective Banno climbed into the ventalation shaft quietly as he heard some whispers. He pulled out his gun, he wanted to make this a short trip.

Roran looked at Mercedes again. He was aching. He was so confused. He wanted to kill Gand so much, but he also wanted her to know how he felt about her.

    He tightened his throat. “Mercedes…”

She waited for him talk for a moment. “Yes?”

    “…Uh, nothing.” He said.

The basement was full of weapons, some hanging of the walls. It was very dark down there. With a few left over army commander bodies. Plus, there were about four troopers that they would have to take out if they wanted to get up to the 1st floor.

“Mercedes, we have to take out two each, this going to be very hard. We cannot let them radio anybody else, or this is over! Okay?”

    “Yes.” Said Mercedes.

    “Ready?” He said.

“Yeah.” They both jumped out and started firing at the four troopers. One took out a grenade, which was orange. He twisted the top to the left and threw it.

“Mercedes, look out!” Yelled Roran. She jumped behind a shelf of rayguns, and the grenade exploded sending the shelf flying over her. She ducked and covered and a few of the guns fell on her.

Roran fired a ray at the trooper and it went through his chest, followed by almost immediately by another one that went through his head.

Mercedes emerged from the pile of weapons and saw one of the three left troopers pick up his radio. She winged out her disc-gun and shot out of his hand. Mercedes didn’t notice that it had also took off his thumb. He screamed in pain as she fired another disc right at his neck. The impact decapitated him.

Roran saw a trooped trying to make it to the elevator. Roran fired a ray at his head. This blew a hole in his head and prevented him from making contact with someone else.

Mercedes was watching Roran and had gotten caught off guard. She saw a trooper bend over to pick up the radio that the previous man had dropped. She didn’t waste any time and shot a disc at his hand. It hit his arm and sent it to the wall. His right hand was stuck on the wall by the disc through his arm.

Mercedes fired another disc which made his other arm get disked to the wall. He sat there struggling to be freed. She walked up slowly to him.

“Oh, please, don’t kill me.” He said.

She pulled off his helmet and kissed his cheek. “One happy thought on your trip to hell.” She fired one last disc to his head. The corpse hung on the wall as Roran and Mercedes went up the stairs.

    ---------------------------------------

Detective Banno walked through the basement after hearing all of the gunfire. He saw military corpses. They must have killed them all. And then he saw a bloody body stuck to the wall. These people were barbarians.

He heard them running up the stairs. He figured he could trap them if he went up the elevator. He pressed the Level 1 button as he stepped in the elevator. He felt himself going up as he readied his gun.

    Chapter 8: The Rescue

Roran and Mercedes walked up the stairs. He looked over at Mercedes. This was it. Just as they started to step up again, Roran looked at Mercedes.

She stopped and looked at him.

“I love you.” Said Roran. Mercedes didn’t do anything. And then.

“I know. And I love you.”

Just then, they heard a bump. “Let’s go.” Said Roran

She readied her disc gun as they walked through the Level One door. A trooper was propped up against the wall, asleep.

“It would be kicking a man when he’s down to kill him like this.” Said Roran. He took out an injection needle and put it into him.

    “What was that?” Said Mercedes.

“A sleeping potion, he’ll be finding out what happened here on the news around tomorrow.” Said Roran. Just then a man’s voice came over the intercom.

“ALL PERSONELL REPORT TO MASTER GANDOLORIAN’S CENTER AT THE 5th FLOOR IMMEDIATELY.”

“Do you think they know?” Said Mercedes.

“I don’t know, either way we are getting closer to being spotted no matter what. I do not plan to kill Gandolorian in secret.” Said Roran.

James Gardner sat in custody. He was bruised horribly and had a beard to his shoulders. He hung his head as spit hung out of his mouth ready to hit the floor.

“Hurghh.” He weezed out. He would die in a few more days, possibly tomorrow, or… today.

Suddenly he heard many footsteps thump past the door. “Yurgh… what’s going on?” He called. What was he doing? No one could possibly hear him. Who was he even talking to?

James sighed again and put his head back down.

Mercedes and Roran walked through the halls. They still had their hands gripped tightly on their guns, just to be cautious.

“Well, I guess it is pretty safe. Everyone went to that meeting.” Said Roran.

Mercedes examined a sign on the wall. “This is a prison cell.” She said.

“So? Is there anyone in there?” Said Roran.

    “I don’t know. Let’s see.” She said.

“I don’t think so. We could be wasting time.”

James looked up. He heard something.

    “Is anyone in there?”

    “I don’t know. Let’s see.”

James jumped up. And forgot that we was surrounded by tasers it shocked him and he fell back down.

“I don’t think so, we could be wasting time.”

    He went crazy. “HELP ME!”

“Did you hear that?” Said Mercedes. She looked in through the door slot and saw a man surrounded by tasers and had beaten horribly.

“Oh, my gosh.” Said Roran. They pressed the button on the side of the door, but it just made a DEET DEET sound. “Damn. Okay, stand back.” He pulled out his raygun.

“You could hurt him in there.” Said Mercedes, pulling his arm back.

“Hmm… Okay, well I’ll try kicking the door down.” Said Roran, readying his foot. He kicked it and grabbed his foot. “Ow!”

Mercedes felt the door with her fingertips. “I think it’s steel. Just try the gun, but aim upwards.”

Roran bent down and shot upwards. It went directly through the door, but right then an alarm went off.

“Oh, shit. Lets get him and get out of here.” Said Mercedes as Roran reached in through the hole he had made and pressed the button on the inside of the cell. It took a moment to open, because he had his hand in the way.

As soon as he took it out the door opened. Roran looked at Mercedes. “I’ll guard the door go in there and get him.”

She didn’t need to have it explained. Mercedes hustled through the door and looked at the man laying down. The tasers were floating in midair. She saw a glass window on the left side of the room. She fired a disc through it and it shattered.

Roran peered around. No one yet, but the alarm was buzzing like crazy.

James Gardner looked up at the beautiful woman, she had brunette hair that swayed as she jumped through the glass, she had a magnificent body and her eyes were so mesmorizing. They were brown, but so spectacular.

He saw the taser sign say OFF, and he dragged himself up and walked over to her. She grabbed his hand and took him out of the room. He could not hear the rays that were being fired, because he was so busy staring at her beauty.

Roran was arched up against the wall firing at Troopers cruising towards him. He saw Mercedes dart out of the room running the opposite way of the Troopers. He walked backwards for a moment guarding them; firing a few shots and then turned around and followed the two.

As soon as they reached the elevator they pressed the UP button and saw it go from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1, the level that they were on.

The door opened and they saw a man with a long coat on and brown hair with sun-glasses.

He pulled out a badge that said FBI on it. “Sorry, but you are under arrest, for invading a military facility and--.”

“Get out of the way! This facility was overrun by Gandolorian!” Yelled Roran, grabbing him and throwing him out of the elevator. They got in and pressed the level 5 button. The doors closed and went up.

The Detective saw that gun fire had not stopped. He held out his badge more. “Privates! I am from the Government!” It still didn’t stop. What was going on?

He knew that they were not going to cease the firing. He pressed the button on the elevator. And again. And again. Then he turned around. A ray was fired directly into his leg.

Banno would have screamed from the pain, if not a split second later, a ray abruptly pierced his head.

    -----------------------------

“Gandolorian, we have killed one of the intruders!”

Gandolorian listened to his radio as he sat in his chair surrounded by his station on the 5th floor. “Good. Hunt the down the others and kill them. They can not escape if they find out what we are building.”

Gandolorian sat back in his humongous chair and looked at the huge room around him. And the gun soldiers being produced by the hundreds.

    *****************

James, Roran and Mercedes stood in the elevator on the way up to the 5th floor.

“Now, James, I’m going to give you this ray gun, but just be sure--.” Roran was about to say, but James stopped him.

“I’m a police officer, I know how to use a gun.”

“I wasn’t going to say that, I was going to say be sure to give it back after all of this.” Said Roran.

“Oh, sorry. I don’t think I know your name yet.” Said James checking out the gun Roran gave to him.

“Roran, but it isn’t going to matter for long unless we fulfill our objective and get out of here.” Said Roran.

“Listen, I just want to get out of here. I’ve got a wife and kids at home right now, and I have been here for at least a week, I’m sure.” He said taking out his wallet and looking at a picture of his family.

“I’m sorry, James.” Said Mercedes. “And I’m Mercedes. We will try to get you out of here, but we may die as well.”

Mercedes looked up at the counter, it was at Level 5. “Mr. Gardner, if you want to get through this, I suggest you get down right about now.”

James ducked down and the elevator door open. Right then hundreds of rays starting pouring into the elevator, Troopers at every distance. Mercedes and Roran ducked down behind the side of the elevator where the buttons are, so they could have cover.

Roran stuck out his hand and started shooting his ray gun aimlessly. James had rolled over besides Roran and helped fire. Then Troopers started running towards the elevator.

“Oh, no.” Said Roran. He pressed the close-door button above him and watched the two doors of the elevator meet each other. The group of three stood up again. “We aren’t going to get out of this alive if we try to fight these guys.” Then Roran looked up. “There’s a grill door up there we could get through the venilation shaft to Gand.”

Mercedes looked up. “That’s a good idea. James, it looks like this is where we part ways. You can use the elevator to get down to the basement and then escape. You will get to see your family again.”

    “I can’t.”

    “Why?” Said Roran.

“I’m a police officer, I have to come and fight with you, I may die, but that’s a chance I’m going to have to take.” Said James readying his gun.

“Okay.” Said Mercedes loading her disc gun. “Let’s go.”

Roran punched the grill door up and hopped in. He stuck out his hand and pulled up Mercedes.

    “Thanks.” She said.

James got in himself and started crawling behind them.

    Chapter 9:
    The Guns

Roran kicked out of the ventilation shaft and dropped down, he then found that he was in an office of some sort and he knew he was in Gandolorian’s station.

The other two dropped down behind him and could see that Roran was looking at something.

“Roran, are you okay?” Said Mercedes.

Roran didn’t look back, he just raised his index finger and said: “Look.”

They looked out of the office window and saw a giant machine with people coming out of it by the second. No, they couldn’t have been people. They were… “Guns.” Said Roran. “Human guns.”

Mercedes looked at Roran. “Oh, no-.”

Just then they heard a few bumps from above them and they heard something that sounded like the door locking. Mercedes went over to the door and tried opening it.

    “What happened?” Said James.

“We’re locked in.” Said Mercedes. “But why?”

That answer came immediatley, green gas started coming out of the ventilation shaft they had gotten into the office with.

Roran turned back around trying to kick open the door. He grabbed the door handle and pulled it. Then he yanked out his raygun and shot at it. A hole was made in the door and Roran jumped through it. He grabbed Mercedes’ hand and pulled her out, and then grabbed James’ hand pulled him out.

They saw that they were on a platform above the human gun breeding station, they saw a few guards patrolling around the gun machine. Roran took out his raygun and made sure none of the other guards were watching and shot the first one.

He fell to the ground as Mercedes whispered: “Nice shot.” And then he turned his gun to the next guard. And shot him in the head. The third guard noticed this but before he could give it a second thought he was pummeled in the head as well.

Roran held up his gun. “Okay, lets go.” They walked down the stairs slowly and looked at the human gun machine. None of the guns were alive yet, but they could be any second.

Roran looked at his utility belt. “I have five remote mines,” he said. “I always have them with me. I’ve had them for a year, I’m not sure if they will work. But we need to destroy this machine before Gandolorian can use it upon the world, he isn’t very powerful now, but the results of this machine could be catastrophic.”

Mercedes looked at him. “Take a chance a with the mines.”

Roran slowly walked over to the machine and went around it sticking the mines on. He hustled back to where Mercedes and James waited.

    “Press your remote.” Said Mercedes.

Roran did just that. He pushed his thumb on the button waiting for the explosion. Nothing happened. Just then, they heard a very familiar voice.

“Well done getting this far, my friends. But this is where you stop. Pity your remote mines failed to work. I’m just lucky they didn’t.”

Mercedes, Roran and James looked up at the hooded man to be none other than Gandolorian himself standing on the platform with his shuttle nearby.

“Roran, my dear boy. I am going to have a final battle with you, just us. The troopers have been evacuated, just us. And you will see how powerful I really am. And then my brothers in that breeding machine you see right there, will be unleashed, and I will become more powerful than the President of the U.S. himself.”

Roran pulled out his raygun as Gandolorian jumped down from the platform and his two troopers, Tristan Bay and Pok Lite stood watching the to-be battle.

Gandolorian simply readied himself for battle. Mercedes and James stood by gesturing to see if he needed help. Roran simply shook his head no.

Gand fired a shot from his hand which Roran dodged shooting his raygun at his opponent. The walking gun held out his hand which made it riccochet off of it and hit the wall.

Roran shot another ray at Gandolorian which he held out his hand again, this time when it riccoheted it hit Pok Lite in the arm.

“Agh!” He screamed holding his arm. He then fell over the rail and hit his head. He was unconcious.

Gandolorian looked back at his comrade. And then turned around and let loose another ray at Roran. Roran blocked this with his raygun and it broke the gun.

Roran dropped it and Gandolorian smiled as he walked towards Roran. “Well, Roran. It look like--.”

“Roran!” Yelled James. Both Gand and Roran looked at him. James threw his raygun to Roran.

“Urgh!” Growled Gandolorian as Roran caught the the raygun. He turned around and shot James Gardner in the chest.

He fell backwards and clutched his breast. Mercedes bent down and tried nurse his wounds.

“You see? You cannot beat me, and I will not let you join me. I will kill you now, and you will see that I can not be beaten.” Said Gandolorian smiling with hatred.

Roran looked at Gand. “On Connie’s grave I will not be killed by you!” Gand let a ray out of his hand as Roran shot him in the leg, then the arm.

Gandololorian screamed. He looked up at Tristan. “Ready the shuttle fly it to me! Now!”

    “But sir!”

    “NOW!”

Gandolorian fired his hand once more as he knelt down. Roran dodged it with no will at all.

“You think I’m beaten, but you forget one other powerful thing about me.” Roran heard a humming sound getting louder. His stomach!

    ******************

Tristan Bay started the shuttle rapidly, he was doing in such a rush he could hardly focus. He flew it over to Gandolorian slowly but still a little too fast. Right as he was about to slow it down for Gand a compartment above his head swung down and hit him in the head. He couldn’t see anywhere…

    ******************

Roran couldn’t use his raygun he couldn’t believe it was… broken or something or jammed. The stomach was humming and it was almost done, it was about to fire. Then Roran looked up and saw Gandololorian’s shuttle coming right at them. The edge was like a blade. It was very sharp.

Roran jumped out of the way and ran over to Mercedes. Gandolorian turned around. “What?”

The ship sliced off his head, the rest of his body fell down motionless as the ship kept going into the gun breeding machine. It exploded in a myst of ship, machine, and a little bit of Gandolorian.

    Roran looked at James Gardner.

“Tell my family that I love them, and they have a hefty life support insurance policy coming up.” He smiled and closed his eyes.

Roran held his hand and then said. “I’m sorry, James.” Then he let go and got up.

Roran looked at Mercedes. She had a tear coming from her eyes. Roran kissed her. A long kiss, compassionate, they had done it. They had gotten revenge and had probably saved the United States.

Roran took Mercedes hand and they looked at the destroyed machine. Suddenly they heard a computer voice come over. “Self Destruct in 2 Minutes.”

“Oh no.” Said Roran. “We have to get out of here. It’s not over yet.” Roran pulled Mercedes to the elevator. They pressed the Level 1 Button and went down as the doors closed.

The station was being self-destructed. The body of Gandorian stood still. But then the left hand of his body started twitching. It made a fist it continued twitching for a moment.. and then stopped. Gandolorian was destroyed.

Roran and Mercedes opened the doors of the building and saw that it was morning. They kept running out to the street. There were probably about thirty seconds left on the countdown.

“The only thing I don’t understand is who pressed the self destruction button? All of the soldiers were evacuated.” Said Roran.

    ****************

Pok Lite crawled away from the self-destruct button. He looked at the timer: 7 seconds.

    6… 5… 4… 3…2..

    ****************

Roran and Mercedes looked as the building exploded. They could even feel the heat from it.

A few cars swerved by as Mercedes and Roran walked off into the sunrise.

    *************

Does anyone ever say vengeance is a bad thing?
Some people say we should forgive the people that we are angry at.
But think how you would feel if someone killed the most beloved person you knew.
Should they deserve to live? What if that person goes on to kill more people, ruin more people's lives?
Now is vengeance is a good thing? Is vengeance still something you should not commit?
You can forgive people, but if they killed your favorite person in the world, forgive them after their dead.

    -Roran

92 % of American homes have guns. Most accidents from guns occur from children playing with them when they find they’re father’s guns.

Guns are too relied on in this time. And too many have guns. Think how bad it get in the future. Don’t let it happen.
