JP3's pteranodons are not real dinosuars -- they are actully considered large flying reptiles that lived during the Mesozoic. As a matter of fact, to this date no "flying dinosaurs", or "aquatic dinosaurs" for that matter, have been discovered. (From: Otakon)

Crisis One - In the Dark
    By Troodontid

    Crisis One
    In the Dark

Something was definitely out there. He could see it now, just standing there... staring. Stanley moved away from the window frightened; the figure had been standing there for nearly twenty minutes for Christ’s sake. Stan paced back and forth in the master bedroom on the second floor thinking.

I'd phone the sheriff but my lines out, Winchester's in the shed outside...

It was ten minutes ago when it became apparent that something was lurking outside, then it had first occurred to Stan to phone Melvin, the sheriff, about a potential breaking in- but he later found, when he picked up the receiver, that the line was out...

    Or was it cut?

Stan couldn't decide which one was worse but whichever it was he had to find some means of communication…

Why don’t you just scream for help, Stan?

He smiled at the bit of failed sarcasm he managed to come up with considering his present situation.

Stanley slowly made his way back to the window only to find that the figure had disappeared; and a new, second figure stood there. This second figure stood there just like the first one, but it seemed to Stan that is was a bit shorter and a bit slimmer; Stanley guessed this one must have been a female, and the first a male. Suddenly without warning the female figure shuffled off to Stan’s right and out of the view of his window. He again moved away from the window and headed downstairs to the first floor and made sure all the windows and doors were locked. After he finished checking the backdoor and rear windows he made his way back, turning off the lights on his way, to the living room. When he got there, he turned off the light and sat down when he noticed that a light was shining onto the wall of his living room across from the window; he rose from the couch and walked slowly to the brightly illuminated window and pushed the curtains aside and peered into the light that shone from two indistinguishable headlights.

“Maybe it’s Ted.” Stan whispered to himself reassuringly.

Stanley kept watching, hoping that the car’s lights would scare off the intruders but instead he saw a silhouetted figure make its way across the lights and to the passenger side of the car; and, from what he could make out, the second figure made its way to the driver’s window…

    “Oh no, Ted.”

As Stan kept watching in horror, anticipating a terrible outcome, he saw the gleam of moving metal: the driver door opening. He saw, in the very little light available: Ted’s face of concern vanishing in the dark, he heard Ted begin shouting angrily- Then silence…
Stan waited there shivering for about five minutes when he finally decided that something must have happened to Ted…

“That’s it.” Stan said a bit louder, finally sick of his cowardice. “I’ll have to settle with the .22.”

Stan stood up and made his way down to his cellar, where he kept his father’s old hunting gear.
He unlocked his gun closet: empty.
He bent down to the bottom of the closet; he opened a shoebox-sized container and extracted a .22 caliber pistol. Stan didn’t think it was much but it could be definitely be more useful as a defense weapon.
A crash rang throughout the house.
Stanley looked to the ceiling- something starts shifting upstairs- something was crawling- no now it was walking.
    Another crash rang out.
Stan frantically began to fill the magazine with ammunition, then proceeded to slam it back in; he looked up alert only to realize that another window had been broken into- then another he soon came to the realization that his entire house above him might be swarming with- whatever broke into his house…

    Burglars, murderers… What?!

Stan decided that he would have to take a look, even though he was badly shaken with adrenaline and horror- which was not a good mix to begin with. He tightly gripped the small pistol as he crawled up the cellar stairs- grimacing every time he noticed the stairs creak loudly. He looked to the door the kitchen was dark just as he had left it…
He reached the top of the stairs and peered around the door and saw the first figure standing there… staring at him…

    “Hey- Don’t move!”

Stan hesitated; the figure shuffled towards Stan’s voice- though Stanley didn’t think it saw him.

    “I have a gun!”

Instead of freezing at the threat like Stan anticipated the figure kept moving silently towards him- limping and moaning as if it were injured. Stan came out of the doorway and stood up, never taking the gun off of the intruder.

“I said stay back!” No answer, just moans.

Stanley stood his ground, the figure came closer and as it approached him, the light from the cellar shined up onto the figure’s face… causing Stanley to scream.

No… it’s half a face… bits and pieces gone… who- what the hell is this?

As Stan backed up he heard a higher pitched moan from behind him, before he could turn to see he felt cold, female hands grab his shoulders and then- pain. He ripped away from the female figure that was biting him on the neck, ripping away flesh as he did. He immediately flung his left hand to the wound; Stan ran towards the male figure and barely evaded a swing from the male. He quickly turned and fired two rounds into the male’s back and continued running towards the front of the house, when suddenly he ran into Ted…

    “Ted?”

Theodore stood in the living room area the lights shining into the room revealed that Ted had been attacked as well… Ted moaned and slowly began to shuffle over to Stanley…

    “They got you to?”
    Ted moaned.

Ted made his way slowly towards Stan, lifting his arms up as if searching for support.

“Don’t worry, I got you…” Stan said as he began to hold up his friend from falling.

    Stanley screamed.
He wriggled free from Ted’s embrace only to find that Ted had a large piece of his flesh and muscle in his mouth…

    What the hell man!

Stan looked into Ted’s eyes only to see a blank cold stare… aimed hungrily at him…

    “Oh no… not-”

Stan was interrupted by the male intruder’s arms wrapping around his upper body, hindering his struggle to break loose…

Stanley was now screaming for his life, the pain was dizzying and he was beginning to black out when he brought the pistol up beside his ear, aimed up, and fired. Through an extremely painful and loud ringing in his ears he faintly heard a splattering sound, and then the male figure loosened his grip on him…
Stan slowly got to his feet and looked behind him to see the collapsed corpse of the male figure. Drawn by the gunshot, the female slowly came into view again and an uproar of unearthly moans that was heard outside.
There could be many more of them…
He aimed at the mauled woman figure and fired two rounds into her chest; she halted for a moment- then continued shuffling towards Stan. He fired three into her chest again and she abruptly halted and then collapsed.

Just as Stan was beginning to feel optimistic Ted grabbed him again and sunk his cold teeth into the back of Stan’s neck… Stan screamed again but this time he was too weak to rip free, but he kept struggling. Then he saw her: the female figure again lumbering stupidly towards him. He fired twice into her abdomen; but his heart sank when the small pistol’s metallic clicks rang out throughout the room… The woman was now upon Stan biting the right side of his neck again.
    Stanley screamed.

Screams of Stanley’s pain rang throughout the house for what seemed like forever, but then they abruptly stopped. And once again the house stood silently still.
    In the dark.
