Journal of Alexander Burnside

"William did you just throw that?" Mr. Burnside asked. "if you want credit on that test you'll tell me the truth".
"Yes." I said giving a dirty look to the victim/started it in the first place, Chris King my arch enemy.
"Well then you'll just have to stay after school and clean every single nook and cranny." said Burnside.
"Yes sir Mr. Burnside." Great, now im stuck here after school cleaning, my room isnt even clean. And I hate it when he calls me William, I told him to call me Will.
After class Mr. Burnside said "I'll be gone for about an hour,if you finish go to the teachers lounge, ok." "where are you going?" I asked. "Im going to a teachers conference, the spray and rag is under the sink if your done before I get back go to the teachers lounge, ok." "Ok."
So he left me in his room all alone, so naturally I snooped around. I never been behind his desk before, he had a bunch of records of Leadbelly, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Wille Mctell, Son House, and classical stuff, already my respect for the man was rising. So I started to walk over to the sink when his journal caught my eye "oh, I have to see this" I opened it up..
January 15, 2000-Sat. 12:00 am
"We started our plans for our expedtion to Isla Sorna in the Too Long Too Drunk Bar. A shady fellow by the name of Jim Crow was sent to represent the genetics company that would fully fund our trip. He stated what this company wanted out of us, three different dinosaur specimens blood, eggs, or dead bodies, just anything that carried DNA within seven days. He also told us that he would be accompanying us on the trip to make sure that we held up our part of the bargin he then grinned sharply."
"Mr. Burnside in a bar, Isla Sorna, and Dinosaurs?" I continued reading..
January 15, 2000-Sat. 2:00 pm
"Today we got on the plane to Costa Rica I was so exicted, all I could think about was how big they were and how much I was going to see. All of our equipment was loaded on a military plane we had jeeps, guns, tranq rifles, eight men, and satilate phones. I had two guests, number one on my list was my long time friend, Bill Mctell a man with sharp wit and attitude. And number two, my fellow teacher John Clapton hes a very quiet man with alot of knowledge about dinosaurs, hes also lead paleontologist at the St. Paul Natural History Museum.And also the company man, Jim Crow he didnt say much about his self, he seemed intelligent because he could speak three diffrent languages spainish, english, and jackass let me tell you this guy was a real asshole he was yelling at eveyone, he made me nervous."
As I finished this passage I heard Mr. Burnside in the hallway. I put the journal in my pocket and ran to the sink and got the rag and spray and acted like I was cleaning, the place was clean anyway, hes a neatfreak. He walks in and says "nice job William, you can go now." "Its Will sir" I demanded. "Oh ok whatever."
When I got outside Chris was waiting for me with his friends "do you wanna get stomped agian or somthin!" I yelled "no because your gonna get it this time stupid!" he said slowly (hes kinda slow)"I dont have time for this today how about tomorrow." "ok we'll let you think about it for a day, that fine cuz we all know you scared." he said slyly "you wernt sayin that yesterday when your head was in the ground!" I said as they were walking away "im gonna kill him tomorrow." I said under my breath.
As soon as I got home the first thing I did was rip that journal out of my pocket and start reading it agian..
Januray 15, 2000-Sat. 5:00 pm
"We landed in Costa Rica, it was hot I could feel my blood boiling, but it was beautiful compared to Minnesota right now. The first thing we did was get a drink, then we met with our eight men and got our equipment ready for tomorrow. I cant wait DINOSAURS!"
"Wow he seen dinosaurs, he really seen dinosaurs, why dosnt he talk about it, should i ask him.."
Januray 16, 2000-Sun. 6:00 am
"Today we left for a six hour boat ride to Isla Sorna. During the ride I poped the big question to Mr. Crow "so what the name of your company?" he responds "thats on a need to know basis." Like hes somebody important or somthing. Around 11:30 am we had our first dinosaur sighting! Three triceratops all adult. One male im guessing because his shield was brightly colored with yellow being the base color and with flame shaped marks colored red, the rest of him wasnt very eye catching no stripes no feathers just a dusty gray. A mammoth of an animal huge, bulky, slow not what I expected, a fast flowing walk but not this, but somthing about it made him seem like in the blink of an eye run a man down but he was very hansome. The females were not very breath taking just one yellow spot in the center of their shield they were a little larger than the males though. All they were doing was walking down the beach and we were going crazy. We were seeing this through one set of binoculars which we were fighting over. We were jumping up and down like school girls, and we were still over 200 yards off the coast, what wonders wait for us inland.
