    Modern Day Devils P3
    By Snake - Mark

    Mark feared the meeting he was about to have with Justine. What if his dream would come true? What if he would attack Justine; just this time would he kill him? He quick got up from his spot and snuck out, hoping Justine hadn’t even noticed he was there in the first place.

    As he reached the door to the school, he stopped himself. “What if I do tell everybody? They may think I’m insane… but I can’t assault a whole group of people.”

    With those words, Mark turned from the door and headed back to the gym.

    Pushing the door open to the gym, he was slightly relieved to see that the practice had ended and everyone was gathered inside the locker rooms. So, without hesitation, he went for the locker room, hoping his theory of his behavior was correct. He entered the room and pushed his way through the crowd of basketball players, hoping to find Justine.

    “Mark, are you so desperate that you’d follow a team of sweaty guys into a locker room where, eventually, they will strip down.” Mark heard a voice come from behind him.

    He turned swiftly and saw Justine standing there, a shit-eating grin replacing any normal smile he may have. Mark’s eyes narrowed a bit and from deep within his throat, he snarled. Justine’s eyes grew wide suddenly as he saw the angered look upon Mark’s face, and quickly he began apologizing.

    “Geez dude, I’m only kidding. Do you want to talk now?”

    “For your safety… we will talk now.” Mark spoke dryly as he slowly approached Justine, who stopped changing out of his uniform and sat down.

    “Okay… why don’t you start with the first dream. Go slow. I want to catch every detail.”

    As Justine began speaking, the entire locker room grew quiet and every player aimlessly listened in on the conversation. Mark looked around him, growing uneasy as everyone listened. Slowly, he began.

    “As I told you earlier, it was a war.”

    “Yes, but what kind of war?”
    Mark paused, a bit confused by the question. “There’s more than one kind of war?”

    “Yes there’s more than one kind of war. Do you want me to help or not?”

    “Well you asked me a stupid question. What kinds of wars are there?”

    “Human, inhuman, and technological.”

    “I told you all ready, there were no people fighting.”

    “No, you said it was a three-way battle.”

    “Jackass, that was the second dream.”

    “Well how the fuck am I supposed to keep up? You have so many fucking dreams in a matter of a day!”

    “Don’t get pissy with me asshole!” Mark stood abruptly causing Justine and the rest of the team to back down.

    “You know Mark, I’m going to have to assume that your dreams are connected with your anger outbursts.” Justine stood as well, facing Mark directly.

    “The only outbursts I have are when I’m around idiocy!” Mark turned and began to push various players out of his way.

    “You came to me!” Justine stepped forward, hoping to stop Mark.

    “Yes… and I shouldn’t have gone to anybody.”

    Before Mark could reach the door, it swung open violently, the glass window shattering into millions of shards. Everyone else in the room, with the exception of Mark, grew startled, and as the angered teenager left their sights, their startled nature grew into a state of panic. Justine ran to the door, hesitating slightly to step outside in fear that Mark was still there. As he placed his hands against where the glass window would be, he grew surprised to find that the window was indeed still intact; and looking to the ground only made him more confused, for even the ground wasn’t littered with glass.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Mark stormed out of the school, his anger dissipating rather rapidly. As he walked the feeling of the wind blowing through his hair soothed him. He moved slowly off of the schools property, for some reason feeling as if he were the main character of a video game.
    Nothing seemed real. Even the incident in the locker room didn’t seem real. Since when do doors just fling open on there own; and why hadn’t the glass that ricochet back hit him? For some reason, he didn’t feel like thinking about it. Instead, he felt like walking. He felt like going to church, which, even on Easter Sunday, was not something he even came close to considering. He knew he wasn’t himself. He could feel it deep within him. What he felt deep inside of him was nothing near who he once was. He was someone, or something, completely different. Something, he felt, which was inhuman.
