SLAYER - Episode 4x02 - The Hunt

Previously on Ben The Flooder Slayer and Slayer...
SKELETOR appears right in front of BEN and RIVER. SKELETOR starts to charge at them but is stopped by a huge arm. FALCON GLICK appears in front of BEN and RIVER.
Falcon: Go. Flee this place. I will suffer the consequences myself.
Ben: What you are doing is brave Falcon, but I will not leave until he is gone.
Falcon: I don’t know how to kill him.
River: What if -?
Ben: River, stay out of this, I don’t want you getting hurt.
Falcon: Any ideas?
Ben: None.
SKELETOR got to his feet. He pushed both men down to the ground with magic, leaving RIVER starring at him.
RIVER leapt into the air and kicked SKELETOR in the face. SKELETOR fell backwards and was knocked out. RIVER stood over top of him. BEN and FALCON got to their feet. RIVER sat SKELETOR up by his neck and held onto his neck.
Ben: River! Get back!
River: This always works…
RIVER snapped SKELETOR’S NECK. SKELETOR fell backwards…DEAD.
BEN and FALCON looked at RIVER.
Brad: Vampires? It wouldn’t be anything you haven’t faced before.
Ben: I realize that, but I’m not trained for fighting Vamps.
Brad: We’ll work on that.
Ben: Did you talk to the council?
Brad: Yes…
BEN looked at the sky.
Ben: Wonderful…
LIGHTNING struck the HIGH SCHOOL. All the doors and windows were sealed.
Ben: Just wonderful…
CHARGER CITY HIGH SCHOOL
THUNDER CLAPS again
BEN looks around the outside of the school. He can here the MARCHING BAND.
Ben: When in doubt, follow your ears…
BEN runs to the band. He sees that VAMPIRES are forming from behind, approaching.
CLASSROOM
STUDENTS panic, and hide to the floor. RIVER picks up a desk and throws it at the window. The DESK shatters the window.
Teacher: Hey! Someone is itching for a detention! And on the first day!
River: I have little outbreaks like that.
RIVER dived through the window and right into a VAMPIRE. The VAMPIRE flew to the ground.
RIVER bounced up and spin kicked and knocked three approaching VAMPIRES down. He runs back to the window he broke.
River: Can someone throw me my bag?
RICK ARNOLD kicked down the classroom door and chucked a bag of STAKES to RIVER.
Rick: We’ll be out in a second!
Teacher: Why is there so much exploding of doors and windows?
Rick: Calm down.
RIVER pulls a stake out of the bag and rams it into the fallen VAMPIRES. They turned to dust.
The KIDS watch from the window.
Boy: This kid has got definite issues.
Girl: He’s like saving our lives and stuff. He’s cool.
Boy: I think he’s a looser. Some big attention stunt.
Rick: Yeah, hiring Vampires to attack your school, that’s a big attention stunt.
Boy: Huh?
RICK crawled out the window.
BEN ran past the DRUMLINE. He took one of the DRUMMER’S sticks and BROKE it across the DRUM.
He started running towards the VAMPIRES and staking them left and right.
LIBRARY
TARA’S eyes started to change into different colors.
Tara: Make this wrong into a right; return to us the time of day with sunlight!
THE SUN broke through. The VAMPIRES started to catch on fire from the rays of sunlight and they busted into dust.
The DOORS and WINDOWS to the high school opened.
A HUGE DEMON broke through the earth’s surface in the middle of the outside courtyard.
BLACK OUT TO OPENING CREDITS – BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER THEME by NERF HERDER.
A Zoom in of Charger City at night. “SLAYER” appears in red text. Scenes of BEN, RIVER, PARA, RICK, RYAN, and TARA.
BEN dives through a window and pulls out a cross bow with a flaming arrow on the end. He releases and hits a VAMPIRE and they explode into dust. [Starring Ben] BEN, BECKY, and ICE attack dozens of DEMONS.
PARA throws a blue glowing orb at a DEMON. She dances with BEN. [Para girl] PARA looks at a map with RICK.
RIVER walks into his high school, greeted by two of his friends. RIVER runs at a wall of lockers and flip kicks himself over a bully. [Jedi A. Malcolm] VAMPIRES surround RIVER, he spins around with a sword, decapitating them all as they turn to dust.
TARA looks through her books of spells. TARA kisses MANDY on the lips. [JP3 Girl] Tara throws herself into a portal and it seals.
RICK spars in a ring with BEN. RICK pulls his crossbow out and fires. [Rick Arnold] Rick embraces SAMANTHA.
RYAN is held at Gun Point. RYAN spars with BEN. [And Carna as Ryan] RYAN’S hands glow and they produce lightning.
BEN and RIVER walk the streets of CHARGER CITY with their BLACK coats flapping in the wind as if they were capes.
RIVER was the closest to the demon. He ran at it.
BEN leapt down from the roof and landed right next to his BROTHER.
Ben: As I was telling you…only nerds finish high school.
River: It could be worse…
[Special Guest Star Brad as Bradley Giles]
RICK ran up.
Rick: It is…
Ben: How?
Rick: The demon is charging us.
The THREE of them flew backwards. They landed with a THUD.
Ben: Any ideas of what this demon is or what it wants?
Rick: No clue…I’m thinking we kill it.
[Aragorn as Shane]
SUDDENLY – The DEMON disappeared and the damage he caused sealed…as if it never happened.
BEN looked at RIVER and RICK
[Guest Starring Labyrinth as Falcon Glick]
Ben: What the f-
PARA’S VOICE cuts in
Para: Fudge!
Tara: What is it?
Para: I put these books away wrong.
CHARGER CITY HIGH SCHOOL – LIBRARY
[SethRex as Seth]
TARA’S eyes have turned back to normal.
Para: Does it hurt?
Tara: What?
Para: Performing spells like that? Does it hurt?
Tara: I don’t think so…I don’t even notice it anymore. When Mandy died…I just lost control, and I don’t think I’ve got it back yet, but I feel more confident and stuff.
Para: Well that’s good.

The DOORS to the Library open up and BEN and RIVER walk in followed by RICK.
Ben: Where’s Brad?
[Produced by Rick Arnold]
BRAD walks out from his office.
Brad: Yes?
Ben: We were attacked.
Brad: I heard.
Ben: Aren’t you just shaking in fear?
Brad: Not really. You’ve seemed to make this “End of the world” thing an every day event. So I’m used to it.
Ben: It would be fine if we were in Dansville, Brad…
Brad: That’s right…I sometimes forget that we moved.
BRAD looked at his watch.
Brad: Sorry to cut it short, but there is another staff meeting today.
Ben: What do you want me to do?
Brad: We’ll talk about it later at your house.
BRAD picked up his briefcase and walked out of the LIBRARY.
Ben: What was that about?
Rick: I didn’t know of any staff meeting…
RICK left the LIBRARY, right behind BRAD.
SETH’S UNDERGROUND LAIR
SETH paced back and forth with his two DEMONS starring at him. SETH’S face was burned for the sudden appearance of the sun.
Seth: What in the hell happened?
Demon: Sir?
MAJESTIC sat up.
Majestic: Are you really that stupid? Haven’t you noticed that he’s here?
Seth: Who?
Majestic: Think about this…if I’m here…someone from Dansville…who else would be here?
Seth: Ben? No…it couldn’t be.
Majestic: Yeah. It could be.
Seth: What’s he doing here?
Majestic: Some sort of Apocalypse in Dansville, pretty much ruined everything.
Seth: Interesting…Guards, put him in the chamber. He may prove useful to me.
CHARGER CITY HIGH SCHOOL BASEMENT
BRAD walked very cautiously in the BASEMENT. RICK looked around in awe as this area of the BASEMENT wasn’t touched by THE ELITE.
Rick: Brad, where are you going?
Brad: Rick…you shouldn’t have followed me.
Rick: Why are you in the basement? They wouldn’t have a staff meeting here. What’s going on?
Brad: You’ll tell him, and I can’t have that.
Rick: I won’t tell Ben a thing, I promise.
BRAD sighed.
Brad: Falcon Glick is meeting me here.
Rick: What? Why?
Brad: He has some information for me. A book of spells I need, and that demon that you guys saw earlier, I’ve known about.
Rick: What? Nothing even came up on the monitors.
Brad: This demon just appears, Rick. It’s very lethal and very intelligent. It will be a challenge for Ben to defeat it so I was going to have Falcon help me and not let Ben worry about it. He’s having enough difficulties adjusting into Charger City.
Rick: If you think this will work, then that’s fine with me.
BEN’S HOUSE – EARLY EVENING
BEN plopped down on his couch. RIVER followed in behind him.
Ben: So how was the first day?
River: Aside the giant demon and vampire fight? I’d say okay.
Ben: That’s good. Got any homework?
River: Yes…
Ben: Those evil trolls…
RIVER smiled as he got up. He knew he had to do his homework.
Ben: Hey…hurry up and finish.
River: Why?
Ben: I want you to patrol tonight.
River: Really?
Ben: Yeah…I’ll go with you, but Para and I are thinking about going back down to Dansville for the weekend, getting some stuff taken care of and I need to know that you can hold the fort down while I’m gone.
River: Definitely!
RIVER ran up to his bedroom and started onto his homework.
CHARGER CITY GRAVEYARD – LATER THAT NIGHT
RICK, BRAD and FALCON GLICK walked through the graveyard. RICK carried an AXE, BRAD carried a CROSSBOW and FALCON carried a SWORD.
Brad: This demon can appear anytime, anywhere.
Rick: Full alert?
Brad: That would be a yes.
Falcon: I miss plotting the end of the world…now I have to save it…this sucks.
Rick: I do have your cell here in Charger City. I moved it just for you. I don’t think my superiors would be to impressed to know that I’m allowing you to be out here and helping us. Why are you helping us in the first place?
Falcon: I was put under some spell where I have to be the warrior of peace and all noble. No evil allowed, and quite frankly this bites the big one.
Rick: Sorry to hear that.
Falcon: Besides, you need the expertise of a demon like myself for this kind of stuff.
Brad: Sure.
THE GROUND OPENED UP. The DEMON appeared. FALCON rammed his sword through the DEMON’S FOOT. The DEMON was stuck in the ground. BRAD fired a Crossbow Bolt into the DEMON. The BOLT was combined with a MAGIC SPELL to FREEZE whatever it hits. RICK swung the AXE and decapitated the demon.
Falcon: Look at the teamwork!
THE HEAD of the DEMON rose up to FALCON. FALCON pulled his sword back and sliced the HEAD in HALF.
Rick: Nice.
OTHER SIDE OF THE GRAVEYARD
TWO VAMPIRES rose from the ground. RIVER kicked one of the vampires down and rammed a wooden stake into the one approaching him. The VAMPIRE tripped RIVER down to the ground and picked him up. The VAMPIRE started to lean into RIVER’S NECK.
Ben: River get down!
RIVER broke free and got to the ground. The VAMPIRE starred at BEN.
BEN shook up a bottle that had a cloth sticking out of it.
Vampire: Are we going to drink up before I kill you?
Ben: Sure.
BEN lit the cloth.
Vampire: What the -?
BEN chucked the bottle at the VAMPIRE. It exploded onto him and the VAMPIRE busted into flames, then into dust.
Ben: Science is fun when you know the trick.
BEN helped his brother up from the ground.
River: I’m sorry.
Ben: For what?
River: Getting caught.
Ben: You didn’t get caught…and you broke free, so it’s okay.
River: I know, I just want to be so perfect for you.
Ben: Don’t be. River, you are yourself. You are my brother, and no matter what, I’ll always he here for you.
BEN and RIVER started to walk.
River: Do you miss Dansville?
Ben: A little.
River: I miss the flooders. They were easier to deal with.
Ben: While that is true, Charger City seems to be more with the demons and vampires. A place where a Vampire Slayer should be.
River: And you’re still a Flooder Slayer?
Ben: Yes. But I’m still a Slayer.
River: That’s good.
OTHER SIDE OF GRAVEYARD
Falcon: Does Ben know I’m here?
Brad: No, and I think it’d be best if he didn’t find out.
Rick: Yeah, he’d probably go all crazy.
Falcon: I don’t understand…
Rick: You had a fling with Becky…
Falcon: I so did not! She was coming onto me!
Rick: Regardless, he’ll hate you for the rest of your life.
BEN and RIVER stood and looked on. They saw FALCON GLICK walking with RICK and BRAD.
Ben: And I wouldn’t be too surprised to find yourselves on that list.
GRAVEYARD
Ben: I can’t believe you guys are associating with him.
Brad: Ben…it’s not what it seems.
Ben: You’re my watcher Brad…you are supposed to be patrolling with me.
Brad: I know, but I didn’t want you to worry about this…you’ve been so busy and I just don’t want you to feel pain.
Ben: I was pulled from heaven Brad, let’s talk about feeling pain. My best friends, including yourself, pulled me from heaven…and then I come back and you act like it’s all peachy. No Brad, pain is inevitable. I’ll feel it no matter what. The more you try to help, the more you cause more pain.
Brad: Ben…I’m sorry.
Ben: Just don’t. Don’t talk to me, okay?
BEN stormed out of the graveyard.
RIVER walked towards BRAD and RICK. He looked at them and walked away.
BEN’S HOUSE
PARA laid in her BED. The LIGHTS were off as she tried to fall asleep.
BEN stood in the doorway. He looked down on her.
Ben: Para?
Nothing.
Ben: Para? Are you awake?
Para: Yes.
Ben: You want to get away early?
PARA sat up slowly in her bed. She looked at her boyfriend.
She slowly nodded.
Para: Yeah. Let’s go.
The TWO of them threw some clothes in a suitcase and got downstairs to PARA’S CAR.
They took off.
A NEIGHBORHOOD
RIVER walked on the sidewalk. He saw his friend Shane’s house. He saw that the bedroom light was on. RIVER climbed up the side of the house and pushed open the window.
Shane: Oh my goodness!
River: Sorry it’s so late.
Shane: River! What are you doing here?
River: I need a place to crash.
Shane: My parent’s are really anal, it’s a bad idea, call tomorrow, I’ll work it out, but you need to go.
Shane’s Mom: Shane? Aren’t you asleep yet?
Shane: Go.
RIVER jumped out of the window. He walked down the street to RYAN’S house.
He knocked on the door. RYAN answered the door.
Ryan: Hey Riv, what’s going on?
River: I need a place to stay?
Ryan: Something happen?
River: You could say that…I just don’t want to go home.
Ryan: Okay, come on in. Tara’s over. We were just watching a movie.
River: Cool.
RIVER walked into the house with RYAN.
BRAD’S HOUSE
BRAD was sitting in his kitchen, talking on the phone.
Brad: No, I just need to talk to someone who’s available.
A pause.
Brad: Sure. City? It’s Charger City. Yep. Reason? Oh, I need a new watcher to report out here…Why? Because I don’t think I’ve been fulfilling my role.
A pause.
Brad: Roughly two to three weeks? Okay.
He TURNED OFF the phone.
