I usually NEVER enter the Politics/Religion board.. but the one time I do, there's no talk about the impending shutdown? C'mon, Dan's is not dead, yet!

Putting it into proper perspective, it's not as if we're not going to get paid. Worst case scenario that I could imagine is that we get much of April's pay a month late, but I don't think it'll even get that far. Luckily I've got my savings built up, but for those who don't, there's the Air Force Aid Society, and I'm sure the Navy and other branches have their own similar organizations.

elementry, yeah same here. Ever since I got rid of the ex, I've had a decent savings, which was impossible with her around. But there are a lot of families that live paycheck to paycheck. Totally agree that this bullshit should never have happened.
