"JP3d fixes from bluray and dvd"
On 4/7/2013 at 5:31:07 AM, CAKES started the thread:
I was keeping an eye out for any changes they made converting the film to 3d and Imax, and they had cleaned up alot of mistakes and added to effects.

Obviously the clean up was to wires. Dilophosaurus wires were erased, and when the explorer flips over they got rid of the set lights and wires which I find interesting they didnt do for the blu ray transfer.

If you watch closely the rain effects on windows are cgi added to keep the shadows on actors. This is especially apparent when nedry is driving in the rain.

Finally, the trex attacking the gallimimus was more narrow to enhance the 3d effect as the branch hinders some of the viewpoint.

This may be bc of the imax format being more vertical than wide, but overall I liked the fixes they did.
I was just surprised they didnt do it for the blu ray release

Jurassic Park Blu-Ray - comes with your very own screaming two year old to ruin the movie for you to simulate that authentic theater experience.

The narrow and plant not seen is probably because of the iMAX crop. They ended up blowing the film up to scale.

I'm not sure about the cgi rain shadows.

I noticed that too CAKES...its a shame that the master of JP3D won't be on the 2D Blu Ray that comes with the upcoming JP3D Blu Ray 2 disc...I really want to watch this new master in 2D. :/
