A MAD Magazine spoof of JP was called 'Jurass-has-had-it Park'. (From: 'Mad Hatter')

"My JP Prequel idea, soon to be a written Fan-fic."
On 8/4/2011 at 6:07:46 PM, Oviraptor started the thread:

After realizing that his dream may take longer than he ever imagined, John Hammond looks at another possible way to populate a Park with living dinosaurs. He investigates reports of living non-avian dinosaurs still surviving in the wilds in several locations around the world. With the general public unaware of it in this time period. He decides to plan expeditions to many of the locations, and obtain egg specimens of each species discovered. Knowing though that only a small number of them will represent the prehistoric dinosaurs. He has his scientists continue with their research to genetically engineer them.

I think that idea would be better as a non-Jurassic Park dinosaur story. Because it spits in the face of the main theme of Jurassic Park- not to play God and manipulate nature. They engineered the dinosaurs in JP, effectively bringing them back from extinction (which nature selected them for).

If Hammond in your prequel relied even slightly on an isolated pocket of living dinosaurs/dinosaur descendents to populate his park it would negate the entire theme of the novel and film stated above. Because the dinosaurs would therefore not have been extinct (fully) in the first place the whole notion brought up by Malcolm at lunch about the dangers of bringing creatures that have been dead for 65 million years would have been a moot point- because obviously they haven't been extinct completely; they have just been isolated and waiting to be discovered- rare and endangered, but not extinct.

Professional Wrestler, Kurt Angle, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. His current condition, or the state of his charges are still vague, but how cool would it be if Angle was in Jurassic Park 4. He was a real Olympian; being the only professional wrestler to ever win an Olympic medal. That's right...we need Angle in JP4! Who is with me?
