A 10-minute long JP cartoon pilot was produced, though rumor has it the animators caught Spielberg on a bad day, as he refused even to look at it. (From: Erine)

Fuck yeah... that's what I'm talking about. None of that DVD cover bull shit. Just silhouetted trees, red sky, and logo. That's my JP.

    That looks incredibly fake.

I'm all for a simple cover, though.

Looks pretty tacky to me, like something you expect to see on the art of a toy's packaging.

Yeah, the only thing I like about that is the JP crate.

    That;s real?

Ow my i bet that's what we're getting, yuck...

Both look pretty crappy and fake, if you ask me.

Msg #8: On 5/14/2011 at 11:11:22 PM, Carnotaur3 replied, saying:
No, the crate thing is not real. It was fan made.

How anyone can not like the crate idea is baffling, it's brilliant. The Raptors eyes would literally poke through the packaging! Sure, the individual cases could use a little work, but changing the backgrounds to black and maybe flipping them so the Raptors are on the back and the logos are on the front would simple enough. It's a germ of a fantastic idea, and way better than some boring standard case!

I always thought a replica of the gates opening would look badass too. But they botched that concept with the adventure pack.

Its good for a JP3 case. but not JP. The movie in of itself has a darker tone, and that case plays off the "fun summer movie" vibe. i have a hard enough time convincing people JP is adult, this doesnt help

Exactly. It looks ridiculous honestly, the childish raptor cage set up is a joke. The classic Jurassic Park logo with the classic colors is all this Blu Ray needs; bringing us nostalgia and hopefully seeling the deal for a bunch of never before seen extras for the first (and second) movies such as deleted/alternate scenes for Jurassic Park, and filmed (but deleted scenes) from The Lost World, like the scene where Ludlow drunkenly falls on the baby Rex while talking to Tembo, before eco-fuckup Van Owen ruins everyones time. A scene written, shot, and filmed but left out to David Koepp's dismay. Classic Jurassic is the way to go.
