#54 When Spielberg's wife Kate slid a piece of paper with TLW's 2-day gross across the table to him, Spielberg first thought it read $2.2 million -- he later looked again to realize it was actually $22 million. Prev - Next
I mean...I guess for a fan film, the special effects were decent enough, and there was some pretty scenery in it, but the music is really generic and the dialogue and acting/actors are absolutely horrible. That monologue at the end is particulary cringe-worthy.
And I'm sorry, but the idea of a "Site C", or a third island, has always been and still is a stupid idea.
Also, you can see a group of people walking around in the background at about the 20:00 mark.
I mean, I hate to rag on something that a number of people clearly spent alot of time and effort on, especially people so young, and if it was simply a matter of this being an internet video it would be fine, but the fact that this is even being considered for a festival of any kind opens it up to serious review, and in that respect...I'm sorry, but this is not good.
Still...for a first film, this is an admirable effort, and I think that the crew at least (don't think there's much hope for the cast, unfortunately) could potentially do quite well on future projects if they learn from their mistakes and improve.

And Rome wasn't built in a day, who knows this could be the first of many many more for the guys who made this, or it could be something fun they did for the hell of it. Either way, they did and thats what counts.
Maybe I'll post some of my writing.

As for the music, due to the want to sell the DVD's at cost, the name "Jurassic Park" was dropped from the logo and no musical reference to the themes from the films were made although there were temp tracks form the films utilized and even some temp JP themes written.

I'm sure Universal could take you to court with just that much ripped off, but they have better things to do as a company.

As for the skins, they were professionally made and are sold all the time online to animators so I suppose if Universal wanted to stop that, they could have loong ago :-p Replies: 15
