Even this video doesn't really show how great it is... you really have to play it. The controls are so tight and perfect. The game is so easy to pick up and play but insanely difficult to master in terms of timing ball hits and aerial maneuvers. Some of the shit people can do in this game leaves me in complete awe.

I recently repurchased F-Zero GX for the GameCube and it's still a blast. It's really quite a simple game, like this one, but its insane difficulty at the start can be mastered by anyone with the reflexes and the time to get the "feel" of the machines down.
And in Primal Carnage - yes, I still play that game! - I've taken to challenging myself by chainsawing T Rex hindquarters. One mistake and it's an instant death, but if one is able to predict the what the Rex player will do next for the entire time it takes to run down its 2,000 hit-point health, there's no more rewarding a kill to be found. I mention it only because it's an example of a retardedly simple FPS. Yesterday I found another guy doing the exact same thing; now we tag team T Rexes for fun and because nobody expects it. We also die a lot. t's so easy to pick up and have stupid fun with, unlike most AAA titles.
