I really enjoyed the film. You really need to suspend disbelief in order to get into it, but beyond that I really enjoyed it. I took a personal day off from work so I can catch it Thursday night with a friend. I don't want to get into spoilers, but I'm really excited for Jurassic Word 3. Yes it is already green lit and has a director attached.

I saw it, I didn't enjoy it. Did everything on Sorna die or something off screen after JP3? Why was the climax of this film in a mansion lol.

After reflecting on this a little, I think this film is the worst thing I've seen start to finish.

I'll drag myself to the cinema at some point but not in any real rush. The trailers made it look more like a parody than a sequel.

A nice reminder how much more positive my life experience is without this forum. ;)

Best JP sequel. The first hour functions as a well oiled thrill ride in the vein of the initial two sequels (but done better outside of the trailer sequence in TLW)) with a scene of devastating emotion not found in any JP film, period, and the last hour inside the mansion spins a franchise on its ass and had more in common with Dracula or The Wolf Man than a Jurassic movie, and that's part of what was so refreshing about it. Gothic, scary, ballsy, and gorgeous. I'll just copy and paste the rest of my thoughts from the FB group:

There’s no summer blockbuster in recent memory as impeccably shot, gorgeously lit and framed as Fallen Kingdom. There’s no franchise script as ballsy and fearless with its big swings that is sure to upset the “but it didn’t make me feel magical like the first” crowd instead of those excited by risky new directions. It’s a relentless thrill ride in all the ways the movies I grew up loving specifically were. Not about the noise or how chaotic something can get, as seen in the onslaught of dominating superhero films during this season, but instead relentless in its striking imagery, suspense driven action, precise and artful editing, music, etc.

The next one taking place in the midst of the domino effect of Hammond's legacy eventually leading to dinosaurs potentially taking back the Earth? You fucking give it to me now. Also  to Giacchino's Indoraptor theme, a pure straight-into-the-veins injection of classic Universal horror.

    It was definitely a movie.

All kidding aside...I don't know. It was entertaining. It improved on so many things from the last one but some of the aspects from the first JW that I disliked were even WORSE in this one. When Owen was knocking out a bunch of military guys I honestly thought to myself...what am I watching? These last two films kind of don't feel like the same universe as the first film. It's hard for my brain to reconcile many of the events in this one with what happened in the first.
