I'm nearly on the verge of tears as a I post this... so much has happened in my life since I last posted on this site... must be at least 7-10 years now.
Quick update on me.. I'm married now. As many of you may remember, I'm a born and bred New Yorker. I've been working as a Recruiter (mainly recruiting tech, engineering) for firms. I moved to ATL with my wife last year but things didn't work out... (with the job) so I'm back in NY now at my old gig with better pay (it's the only reason I left anyway, I love this company otherwise). I do miss how cheap things were in the South but quality of food and goods and customer service is definitely better here in NY. So there's that. I DON'T miss how passive-aggressive people could be in the South though. Yeesh. Give me straight-talking, honest but tough New York-speak any day of the week.
COVID-wise, my family is safe and sound and we have not been exposed to the virus (yet). Is there anyone else here in the Tri-State area?
I'm reading all the posts now from the past few years and it is all incredibly heartwarming. Like reuniting with old friends. How are all of you? Especially during this crisis? Can anybody hear me?
I wish you all well, and I hope you know that somewhere out there, a stranger in real life loves you, and wishes you the best.
