Whoops. I can't even remember how to post on here...
I recently deleted all social media, which inevitably brought me back to circa 2004. I joined here in 2001. When I was 12. In the last month I've been re-reading all my Crichton books and watching JP and TLW too many times. All the stuff I used to do before Facebook.
And what a piece of shit Facebook is.
Soooooo, here we still are I guess. Felt like maybe I should post something. Since there's been like 4 posts this year.

I just can't with the Facebook anymore. So many people I don't want to add but feel obligated to so they don't resent me, and then I have to be exposed to their breed of crazy. And then there's the fact that I had gotten into this habit of just staring at it every time I had free time and my god, how unproductive is that? For nine years???
But that still leaves me wandering around the internet now. I've been thinking of joining Reddit to get my daily internet fill, there's some interesting stuff on there. Did anybody read the Q&A they did with Jeff Goldblum? Hilarious! And he talks about JP some (the laugh in the helicopter, etc).

Like I said I just unfollow the idiots... which means you can block them from your feed but remain friends so they're none the wiser. Except one time this dude said to me "Hey I haven't seen you stirring the pot on my posts anymore? Haha!" and I was like "Ohh yeah well I figured it was better to just not get in so many fights with your buddies". You're right that it makes you very unproductive sometimes though.
Reddit is hit or miss for me... I mostly stick to the front page which weeds out a lot of the really crazy stuff. I do enjoy some of the subreddits though, like r/wheredidthesodago and stuff.

You are insane, the default subreddits are the worst on the site. The smaller and aggressively moderated communities are the best.

This is our group for registered board members.
There's another group but like ford says, raptor2000 runs it and he literally banned a young woman because he was sick of seeing people give her so much attention. I quit the group after that and made my own. Also his group is overflowing with just random people who've never been to Dan's before and are total idiots lol.
