A line performed by the late Notorious B.I.G. in Puff Daddy's song "Victory" goes: "trying to make dough like Jurassic Park did." (From: jurassiraptor)

"I'm less than a week from my 29th birthday"
On 7/7/2016 at 11:40:08 PM, Raptor Vinny started the thread:
...And I've been coming to this site since I was 13 years old.

I've lived in seven apartments/houses in that time.

I've made and fallen out of touch with many, many friends in real life. And yet I've never met any of you in person... Perhaps one day still.

I once posted fanfics here of RaptorVinny the ice skate murderer, a monster I created that commented on threads. I also posted a series of movie battles in which people stupidly argued the merits of two completely different films.

I was there for the UFX/Dan's war. To this day, I have no idea what incited such a hilarious incident. (Seriously, guys. It's a website where we geek out about movies. Chill.)

My first fan fiction I wrote here was called JP Mainland which continued the thread from the ending of the first Jurassic Park novel about a group of dinosaurs reaching the mainland and traveling through the US. That's right. I came up with Jurassic Park 5 before I'd even seen Jurassic Park III. So if you think while leaving Jurassic Park 5 in summer 2018, "That movie sucked! A thirteen-year old could have written that script," you were right.

I dreamed (and spoke of those dreams) of being in the film industry and MY DREAMS HAVE FAILED I AM A HUGE FAILURE (not really, I have a pretty sweet non-film industry job, though I did pitch a few scripts to some producers).

Man... Life is fucking weird. I'm glad you guys were here when you were here.

What about you? What are your Dan's memories and how has your life transformed since you began visiting this page?
