    Kill it with fire

    RIP Ford and Dansjp3page

It's a bummer to think that as soon as I become more comfortable talking with people here we all start reaching that age where life gets heavy and our weird little community gets pushed to the back burner. Lol, my step dad always thought you were a bunch of pedophiles, and always wondered what we all talked about during that 14 year JP hiatus, when in reality I never really spoke much here. I guess that's a reflection of the kind of guy I am in real life, sort of a socially awkward fly on the wall. I do miss the livelier times.

Yep, ever since Dan BANNED me the site slowly died. I never posted again. True story.

I'll be the last person here responding to my echo.

Reports of my banning have been greatly exaggerated. Someone up there must think I was right about Jurassic World, in spirit.

I seriously check this site a dozen times a day, but there's nothing for me to add to these endless "discussions" about movie trailers, and every time a real argument actually starts it's just Paul and Vinny calling me a butthole for the umpteen-thousandth time. I occasionally try to jump-start some conversation with a thread about stuff I really like, but it fizzles out pretty quick because I honestly don't have that much in common with most of you any more when it comes to the books and films I enjoy.

I remember Dac made a thread about Sam Peckinpah a year or two ago, and it had, like, two replies, and a few years before that he made a big thread about westerns and there wasn't much discussion going on there because I guess everyone here doesn't like that genre very much. I love westerns and silent movies and campy melodramas and Shakespeare and epic poetry and can talk about them all day, but nobody else here is interested.

If it makes you feel any better my interests are mathematics and soccer and there have been exactly zero threads on those topics here ever.

That's fucking bullshit, I remember a thread about a World Cup once.

    Ostro, I enjoy epic poetry.

I still think of this as the new site. It replaced splat.nac.net by getting a real domain.
