    "E3 2015"
On 6/19/2015 at 6:46:42 PM, Snake Mark started the thread:
Sure, this will be ignored because everybody is too busy arguing over a character's death in JW, but I'm bored and one board member may take note:

The "show stealer," of course, was the FFVII remake; though the follow-up reveal that it would likely deviate from the original could be a little concerning considering the past few FF installments were... "meh" quality.

If anything really piqued my interest, it was Doom. I enjoyed the 3rd one, but really was looking for something with a more intense pacing - and I'm kind of digging what I've seen of the multiplayer thus far. The fact that id Software is still behind the wheel is promising, as well.

I'm a huge Naughty Dog fan, so of course I was all over Uncharted 4. It looks pretty, I just hope they're not banking on look sand wind up creating "Yet another Uncharted game."

I'm not so much into Fallout, but I am interested to see how the companion mobile game, Fallout Shelter, plays out. I'm more curious as to if they'll support it continuously or if it will just kind of fizzle out.

Microsoft goes Backwards Compatible - not bad, but the list of 22 games is abysmal right now.

Nintendo's was probably the least exciting conference to watch, especially since Fatal Frame coming to Wii U was completely left out. I'm actually getting very "Nintendo'd" out and would like to see them create something new. Their banking on the same franchises is really having me reconsider continuing with their systems.

It was an okay Expo, but many of the reveals were "leaked" prior to the event itself, and I like not knowing what to expect going in. Even FFVII remake was leaked I think a day or two prior.

    Nintendo's conference was god awful.

I was very excited about the backwards compatability. Especially when people uploaded videos showing Mass Effect running with a much improved framerate and less loading time. When the 360 did BC to the OG Xbox, almost every game suffered from frame rate issues. KOTOR and PGR are almost unplayable.

I, for one, am very excited to purchase a new console so I can play games that came out over seven years ago.

Except I already own the console, genius. So for me it's just a nice perk. And maybe games like Fallout won't be lagfest turds like on the 360 as well.

I know I could play it on PC with better performance and mods but my laptop is absolute dogshit and this is more convenient. And I already own the discs for Xbox. And for Xbox exclusive games it's even better.

IDK about godawful, considering Nintendo treats E3 as simply another of its "Nintendo Directs". I have no doubt they'll introduce amazing stuff in the next few months, including the new Zelda. E3 is a joke to them and I can certainly see why, with the dick-measuring contest between Sony & Microsoft being the most laughable part of E3 by far.

Okay but they actually showed off games that were complete letdowns...

Animal Crossing, Metroid and Zelda for 3DS look like a fucking joke.

To each his own? I'm stoked for another 4 Swords game. They also showed off new Star Fox, a new Mario & Luigi RPG, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. And they'll continue revealing things throughout the year.

Edit: agreed on the new metroid though, fuck that shit
