B.D. Wong Set to Reprise "Dr. Wu" Role, No Grant, Sattler Or Malcolm
We had a feeling this was coming, as back in November B.D. Wong mysteriously tweeted, then removed, a message saying he was signing up for the next JP. However, this IGN video confirms the news that is is indeed on board. Reading a quote from an upcoming (still to be posted) interview, JW director Colin Trevorrow tells IGN, "Dr. Wu spent two decades living in Hammonds shadow, underappreciated. We think there's more to his story." In addition, Trevorrow confirms once and for all that Dr. Grant, Sattler & Malcolm will not be in the film. "I know a lot of fans want to see the original characters back," he tells IGN. "But I respect those actors too much to shoehorn them into this story for my own sentimental reasons." He adds, "The only reason they'd go back to that island is if the screenwriters contrived a reason for them to go." (Thanks Christian)
