Twisted Metal prologue

My name is Axel. I have a cursed life. Ten years ago a scientist named, I don't even know his name. I don't remember anything about myself. I am stuck in this wretched machine. The machine has a platform which I must eternally stand on and it has two gigantic wheels to the side which my arms are stuck inside of forever. I have been doomed to live this life until I die. Then, one day, a man named Calypso found me. He offered me the chance to get freedom at last. But there was a catch, he said. First I would have to win his contest. I asked him, what kind of contest? His reply was simple: I must face four other competitors and be the last man standing. He said to lose the contest is to die. He gave me twenty four hours to think about it. When he came back the next day he asked me for my answer. I told him I would do it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
