Script
Universal emblem disappears from Earth. Bongo drums begin to play in the background as the camera goes towards the earth. It speeds up, past our atmosphere and through the clouds. It then stops shortly below the clouds over a huge lake, surrounded by cliffs and trees of evergreens.
Maine
65 Million Years Ago
A ptetradon flies across in front of the camera and we follow it over the water, and into the woods, over the trees. We come out of over the forest and over a huge field.
The grass is green and birds fly up just in front of the camera and in the distance. In the field we see a huge herd of dinosaurs. They include, the Diplodocus, the Allosaurus, the Apatosaurus, and the Triceratops. These animals are in herds with their respected species and are eating as the bird flies over head we see an Allosaurus look up and make a loud snorting sound.
The camera then continues to follow the bird as it goes over the woods on the other side of the field and over the lake once again. The water splashes up onto the bank and in the distance we can see an island. The island looks similar to the other one, except this time, with huge cliffs of igneous rock that just out into the air. The bird flies into a hole in the side of the cliff.
We follow the bird into the hole and into an underground world, filled with exotic plants and other ptetradons. Their are nests on the side walls and water flowing in through the bottom through a huge hole.
The camera stops so we can look at the beauty. The nests are made of plants and twigs, and babies are in them, squawking loudly. Their is soil in the center of the underground habitat, where trees grow and a huge tree arks up about 50 ft. into the center of the huge habitat.
A camera follows a bird down to it, where it perches and looks into the ceiling and shrieks loudly into the stone sky.
Screen blacks.
Camera fades in slowly on the banks of a shore in Maine. The water splashes up onto the rocky banks and trees line the water.
Maine
Present Day
The sun is shining and the water is navy blue. The camera goes into the woods and then blacks out.
Camera moves up from the ground onto a woman sitting on a rock. She wears hiking clothes that are dirty and has blonde hair. She is in her mid-thirties. She opens a lunch pack and takes out a sandwich and starts to eat it. Her husband comes out of the left side of the screen and sits next to her.
DAN
Pack anything for me?
KELLY
Well of course I did. If you look in there, you’ll find yourself a sandwich especially for you.
DAN
Will I now? Let me take a look.
He opens the pack and takes out a sandwich and begins to unwrap it.
DAN
Ham and cheese...my favorite.
KELLY
Maine is beautiful.
DAN
Yes, and I have to show you something when we are done eating.
KELLY
What is it?
DAN
Oh, you’ll see. I think your going to like it.
KELLY
Oh come on honey, you know I don’t like surprises!
DAN
You’ll like this one.
The camera blacks
The camera opens over the couple. They are walking through the forest at a brisk pace. The woman is in back of her husband who is walking up the rocks of an old run-down trail.
DAN
It’s right up here.
He points to the top where we can see a cave. Rocks surround the huge opening and vines swing down its sides.
KELLY
Wow!
She runs up the rocks and meets her husband at the opening, She puts her head in and yells.
KELLY
Hello!
It echoes and comes back to them. Dan puts his head in and yells.
DAN
Is anyone in there!
It echoes and comes back to them.
DAN
Me and my lovely wife were just passing by!
KELLY
Lets go in!
She turns to Dan looking excited grabs his hand.
DAN
Shall we?
He takes her hand and they enter the cave. They walk slowly and Dan takes a flash light out of his pack on his back. It is long and black and he shines it into the cave. He shines it on the walls and onto the ground.
KELLY
Honey, this is so exciting.
She looks around at the walls and back to her husband.
DAN
Yeah, we would never see something like this back in New York.
They continue to walk down the cave’s hall. They then hear a low and creaking sound come from the interior of the cave.
