Jurassic Park: Evolution Factor: Chaos chapter 4 By rex_defender
As they ventured deeper and deeper into the forest, the foliage became denser and the brush thicker. Roots were pushing out of the ground and it wasn’t long before Jennifer tripped and landed in the mud. When she got up, she was covered in mud and decided that she needed to change. She left to find a suitable tree. After ten minutes, she came back from behind the tree with a new shirt on, an orange one. So they continued walking for another ten minutes when Alex motioned his hand to stop, he stood for a moment before saying he heard the sound of rushing water ahead. They pushed their way through the brush towards the sound, it seemed like half of an hour, but with each passing minute the forest grew lighter and clearer. When they finally reached it, they were astonished at what they saw. They saw an entire population of herbivorous Dinosaurs in a plain.
Jonathan was overcome with awe as she looked on into the field, he shook a bit and then just fell to the ground. He reached into his pack and pulled out his camera and began to photograph the herds. Jennifer and Danah could do nothing but stare at the beautiful creatures. After seeing a herd of Triceratops, Jonathan could not help but think of the plane that had brought them to the island. Jonathan looked at Alex and said, “Without a plane, how are we going to get out of here?” “The pilot was supposed to check in at the airfield when he got back to the mainland, so when they figure out that he’s not coming back, they’ll send a rescue.” Alex replied. “How long will that be?” Danah asked. “I don’t know, we’ll just have to find the landing zone from the old park that used be here.” Alex replied. Alex then pulled out a map and looked it over, then Jonathan walked over to him and also looked at the map. “It’s not far from here,” Alex said. “An hour walk or so, that way.” He said pointing east. They all took one last look at the amazing sight and continued on, but not before hearing that same terrifying roar once again.
They heard the sound of galloping feet, so they looked at the herds again. Everything but the enormous Brachiosaurs were running in fear, away from the river. “My God.” Jonathan said. They once again, reluctantly, continued on towards the landing zone. As they neared another forest, their attention was once again turned as they looked upon a rouge Brachiosaurus. Its head was turned, scanning the area for the creature from which the roar had come from. After a few minutes, the Brachiosaur returned to its grazing at the treetops. The sight once again astounded them all, but they continued on towards the forest. There was not another sounds heard, except for the beautiful songs of the Brachiosaurs and the hooting of the Duck-Bills. The sun was getting closer and closer to the horizon and the faint spots of the stars could barely be seen. Once they reached the jungle, they looked hard and finally found a tree of fine height. Jennifer rushed them a bit, because she knew what part of the island they were in. She knew that the safest place to be now was in a high tree. And she hoped that the animals that owned this territory would not find them in it.
