It was theorized by some in the scientific community not too long ago that the back vertebrae of Spinosaurus didn't support a sail as most often depicted, but actually a large hump, like bison. (From: jurassiraptor)

    Jurassic Rage
    Part 1: Creation

    Introduction

Every hundred thousand years the pole's magnitism of the Earth switches very suddenly. Sixty-five million years ago the pole's magnitism switched which caused devastation to the planet. The climate was affected greatly by this change in magnitism. Temperatures varied in different ways; in some places the temperature went up creating a dry hot environment. Elsewhere, the temperatures went down to the point where it became a subzero iceland. A virus that had always been aroung during the mesozoic era was temperature sensitive. It originally was not very widespread early in the mesozoic era but when temperatures increased, it multiplied at a great rate. This virus was very special compared to any virus that lives in the present. It was larger than the largest virus today, the mimivirus. Its great size allowed it to spread at a more alarming rate. The virus also had an ability that present day viruses did not have. This virus was able to hold onto special parts of its host cell, like ribosomes and the nucleus, so it was able to survive longer and multiply more before it reached a new host cell. This virus spread like the black plague and was many times more deadly than the Ebola virus. It killed many animals during the end of the mesozoic era including the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs went extinct from this virus not just because it spread like wildfire but also because they were unable to adjust to the great change in the environment which destroyed most of their food and habitat. This virus spread and killed until another major global change happened that stopped it dead in its tracks. We call this event the Ice Age. The virii stopped spreading and became frozen in time inside the ice when the temperatures plumeted. Without the virus killing the animals, they were finally able to evolve and adjust to their harsh changing environment. Soon Homo Sapiens evolved. They developed culture and technology. Still the virus lay dormant in its ice prison, waiting to be discovered by someone foolish enough to dig it out.

Chapter 1: Bringing Life from Death

Paul Clarke was driving quickly in his Audi down to his Biological and Genetics Corporation building after getting an urgent call from his fiancee, Jessica Mayer. Paul has a PhD in biology and is a major in Biology and minor in Genobiology. He is a 32 years old, has green eyes and has very short brown hair. He always liked to wear a blue T-shirt and tan coloured pants. He was in a hurry to see what was the emergency. The rain just poured on his car as he drove. He finally reached and ran into the building trying to avoid getting wet from the rain. He went by a sign for his building that mentioned the corporation's slogan, "We change the future one cell at a time." Paul finally reached the lab where Jessica usually worked. She was standing there next to some guy in a chair. Jessica looked up at Paul and he looked into her green eyes and saw there was a sense of worry. She had short black hair and was wearing dark brown shorts and a white long sleeve shirt and a lab coat unbuttoned. 'What's wrong?' Paul asked.

'There was some freaky event in some rich guys mansion. 56 people died in ten minutes, this man here is the only surviving person. His name is Gregg.' Jessica replied.
'Why is he here? Shouldn't he be at the police station or something?' Paul ask in confusion.

'He was there but the police sent him here after hearing his story.' Jessica replied. 'Gregg, tell him what happened.'
Gregg was sitting there and was shaking in shock. Paul stared and was wondering what terrible thing caused this man to be so freaked out.

'It happened so fast.' Gregg said in a very shaky voice. 'We were having a welcome back party for Edward for his return from the arctic circle. He made a toast and annonced that he was going to the Amazon next then he drank his drink. I was leaving already because it was getting late. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard heavy coughing. I turned to see that it was Edward. He was coughing like he had a cold so many ignored it at first. He then began shaking a little, then more. He was coughing rapidly and shaking like he was in a seizure. One of his friends thought he was choking so he went to help him. He pushed hard with his fist against Edward's chest. Over and over again he did it. Edward continued coughing and shaking. It was hard for his friend to hold on to him with all that shaking he was doing. Finally he pushed hard with his fists against his chest and a loud squish noise was made. Edward was then coughing up blood. The blood was going everywhere. A lot of people were getting covered in it. His eyes were going bloodshot and his skin was becoming a dark bruise colour. He finally got to the point where he was coughing up these bloody chunks, I'm pretty sure they were his organs cause I saw him cough up a red chunk and he fell to the ground. I then saw every one was starting to cough. I ran out of the mansion and closed the door and watched what was happening to them through the window. They all suffered the same fate.'

Gregg stopped talking because he was too upset to continue. Tears were coming from his eyes.
'You said this happened shortly after he drank his drink?' Paul asked.
    'Yes.' Replied Gregg.
'I need that drink and examine it because this doesn't sound like poisoning. It sounds like some bateria or disease. Did he bring anything back from the arctic?' Paul asked.

'Just ice which I think he added to his drink.' Gregg replied.

Paul and Jessica went to the scene off death in a protective suit to prevent any infections. Paul got authorization by the police to enter the building. He went into the building and found the drink and the arctic ice that probably started these deaths. Paul and Jessica brought the samples back to the lab for examinization. They melted the ice and took a drop from the water and put it on a dish to put under the microscope. Paul peered into the microscope and what he say shocked him. There was a foreign organism in this water. It wasn't very big, but was bigger than the largest virus that they know of, the mimivirus. They decided to test to see what type of organism they are dealing with. They added an animal cell into the tray. Watching the organism, Paul saw it go into the animal cell and multiplied at an extremely fast rate. Now, the viruses multiplied to the point where the cell exploded.

'Oh my God, Jessica look at this! This is the fastest multiplying virus I have ever seen!' Paul yelled.
She looked into the microscope and was in awe. 'This is a very strange virus.' Jessica mentioned quietly. 'Viruses aren't supposed to grab onto parts of the host cell. This virus has sorta spears coming out of its sides that is able to grab part of the host cell without damaging the cell part. This virus mostly grabs the nucleus and ribosomes which makes sense because those are two majour parts a virus needs. Must be a survival tactic these viruses evloved to stay alive longer until they reached a new host cell. Come to think of it, many water and ice companies use arctic or glaciar ice for market as drinks or ice. Why hasn't anyone died from that?'

'Probably because they filter it many times, the filtering must kill the virus' Said Paul. 'Is there any other cell parts that were there originally there?'
'Yes there is, there is a few DNA strains. Who knows what this DNA belonged to or how old it is. Should I extract it?' She asked.
'Yes do that, then we can have the DNA tested and see what animal it belonged to. Wouldn't it be funny if it was mammoth DNA? If it was it would probably be the most well perserved DNA by the looks of it.' Paul replied with a small laugh.

The next day the whole lab staff was there waiting for the results. The lab staff were the owners of this company so whatever discussion needed to be made for the company would be by them. The analyse was finished.
Codes for the DNA came up. The team looked at a small section of it on the glowing computer screen:

    a g c a t c g a t c g a t a g c t a g c t a g t c g a t c c g a t c g g t a g c t a c t
    t c g t a g c t a g c t a t c g a t c g a t c a g c t a g g c t a g c c a t c g a t g a
    c t t g a t c a c g c a g t c c g a c g t a t c g g c g a t c g a t g c a t g c t a g c a
    g a a c t a g t g c g t c a g g c t g c a t a g c c g c t a g c t a c g t a c g a t c g t

'Excellent.' Said Jessica. 'Now the computer will try to find what animal or creature on earth this DNA belongs to.'
They all eagerly waited for the searh results. The computerfinally finished searching and brought up the words on the screen, "SEARCH FINISHED, NO MATCHING ORGANISM DNA FOUND." 'Okay, that is odd. Let me try to match this DNA to an animal group.' Said Jessica.

The computer started analysing the DNA and matching it to a specific animal group. The computer finally finished searching and words appeared on the screen that confused the whole staff. The words were, "MATCH FOUND, AVIAN/REPTILE." 'What type of animal is this?' Asked Paul.
The room was quiet for a couple of minutes. Finally a scientist by the name of Diana came up with an idea of what animal this is. 'This creature is part reptile and part bird, just think of the only creature that ever lived that is like this. A dinosaur.' She said.
They all broke out in laughter. 'Think about it! This virus spreads fast. It could have killed all the dinosaurs and still keep their DNA because it wanted to survive. Eventually came the ice age and the virus is frozen and stops spreading. We all know how well viruses freeze. We could recreate the dinosaurs.' She said.

The laughter stopped and everyone started thinking. 'She made sense. What other creature could this be? What if they were able to bring back the dinosaurs. Just think of the possibilities, new advancements in genetics maybe even new vaccines.' Dan mentioned.
'Should we do it? Should we recreate this creature what ever it is?' Paul asked outloud.
'Yes' They all said at the same time.

The bag of viral water was put into a hazardous material box then put into the freezer. Before we recreate this creature many things have to be done. The house and victims of this virus have to be burned to stop any virus outbreak and cover it up with the media that this was a sevre posioning. This experiment needs to be top secret and we need to develop new technology to bring the dinosaurs back to life.
