    Jurassic Park 3
    By dwr

Grant moved down the small spirall staircase and arrived on a platform which was surrounded by a thick heavy fog which made it impossible for him to see anything but three walkways.
To the right was a staircase, before him was a wide walkway which lead out across the river below, and to the left was a walkway which was covered from top to bottom in steel mesh.
Behind he head the others step down onto the platform.
"This way" Grant said starting off to his left. As he moved closer to the walkway he found it was blocked off by a few collapsed metal rods which had fallen down from above and slammed through the steel mesh, tearing it to shreeds. Never mind he thought.
"Let's go the other way shall we." he said walking slowly past the others and l seeing concern on there faces.
The staircase looked partialy promising to him and he waisted no time starting on the first step. Suddenly once his foot hit the third step part of the platform fell out from under him and began to tumble down the canion wall.
He quickly grabbed onto the hand rail on his right and felt Paul's arms slide
under his both his shoulders and begin to help him by pulling him up.
Once Grant stood on the platform again
he could still hear the staircase tumbling and crashing into the canion wall then he could hear it splash into the river below.
No other way now he told himself.
Suddenly from the fog overhead emerged a giant male pteranadon which began towards them. Thinking quickly Grant jumped back and pushed the Kirby's out of the way as it came crashing into the platform. It created a giant dent in the metal grate and quickly stumbled back up. Looking over at the others, He saw them still standing there in amazement.
"GET UP THE STAIRS !" He shouted as he motioned for them to get back up the spirall staircase.
He raced towards the wide alkway and heard the animal behind him take flight.
Quickly moving across he felt the dinosaur's claws dig deep into his shoulders. Grant was lifted into the air and the animal's grip suddenly let go, but he went falling into the thick fog below.

Billy moved past Paul and stepped towards the nearest window and looked out to try to find Grant, but he only saw the top of the heavy fog.
He suddenly got an idea. He was going to Distract the pteranadons and let Grant and the Kirby's escape.
Billy ran back towarads the staircase and was in no time back on the platform.
He reached for the lockes on his back pack and quickly clicked them together.
Grabbing the Parachute strings he raced towards the edge of the platform and jumped into the air and pulled the cords.
The chute opened violently pulling him up into the air.
He began to struggle to direct himself away from the canion walls and suddenly felt the parachute violently swerve to the right and send him smashing into the rocky wall. He began to free-fall down the side but felt the chute catch on a protruding rock and abruptly stop him.
He heard a loud caw and gazd up to see three adult pteranadons circling above him. His plan had not worked out the way he wanted, and the first pteranadon swooped down and tore violently into him
ripping on of his the right strap of his pack. His right arm fell free and began to add strain on his left shoulder which was now beggining to go numb.
A sharp pain suddenly filled his entire left side and he looked to find the claws of one of the three pteranadons digging deep into his side.
He pulled a small knife from his pocket and began to cut the last strap on his shoulder.
The strap fell apart and sent him falling towards the river below.
