Spino-chase

The sun was setting and Bastian sat down on a hill that overlooked the area. The sight was beautiful, brachiosaurs and maiasaurs were drinking from a river and the grass was golden and fresh. Mark came over and sat next to him, "I still can't believe we escaped from that Spinosaur" he said and dug his face into his hands. "As soon as the car is set we can go, better hurry to. The spino could be back in a second." he went on and joined in watching the scene. "Why'd we have to come on this expedition" Bastian said and picking up a twig he threw it into a bunch of bushes. a voice came from behind, "C'mon you guys, its ready" their teacher said and wearily they got up and walke dback to the cage. A distant roar came from the trees, Bastian and Mark looked back quickly and began running. "Its coming back, Its coming back!" they yelled as the clampered into a cage, one that was used to transport small dinosaurs like the raptor. The teacher put the keys into the ignition and after a few tries it started and took offf. In their cage their were 6 other kids their age, squealing and staring as a large spinosaur shot out from a group of bushes. The car shot off and so did the spino, the teeth sunk into the iron bars, bending them. The kids screamed and Mark saw the desperate look on the teachers face as he looked back. The car took off again, jumping over bumps and veering around corners. Suddenly another spinosaur came from the bushes. Bastian whispered to Mark "Two of 'em?" a foot stepped onto the grass and the car stopped violently. A spino from the back and a spino in the front, wisely the teacher truned around the car and drove down the hill that slanted downwards towards a river. The spinos followed and growled loudly, the snout nudged the cage while another chomped into it. The group screamed as, with a cranking, the roof of the cage came straight off. This left the kids right open to the spinosaur. The spino's came back for more and with a sickening crunch lifted a teacher from it and with a quick gulp at him. Mark noticed something fall from his pocket, an M-60 with two cases of ammo. Loading it he ducked behind a shredded piece of metal and as he did an eye came next to him. The pupil became smaller and in a panicing act he shot it, spurting blood on him and all over the metal bars. The spino gave off a enourmous cry and turned away, signalling the other to back off. Bastian came up next to him, shaking. "Not bad for an Australian" he said.
