Ben The Flooder Slayer - Episode 2x08 Their Special Day, Take II

BEN’S Bedroom –
Para and Tara are starring at something as lightning, followed by thunder. Rain drops pattering the windows.
Tara: Para…it’s hideous! I mean, God, Para look at it’s arms.
Para: I know…But it’s my duty…
Camera pans so we see they are starring at a mirror and looking at themselves in their horribly out of date dresses.
Para: I’m Lieutenant Para Harris…Bridesmaid.
Lightning
Tara: What duty? I’m supposed to be best man! Shouldn’t I be all 007ish, in a tuxedo?
[Quickly] Para: No.
A pause.
Para: That would totally unfair. We must share equally in the joke that are these dresses.
They look at them. They sigh.
Tara: Maybe it’s not too late to ask Anya to go with the traditional Blood larvae and Burlap? She was a vengeance demon for 1000 years. She would know all the flattering larvae. [She examines the dress, again.] Oh what was she thinking?
Para: I think she’s to stressed to be thinking right now. With Ice’s relatives are her…demons?
Tara: Tell me about it. The rehearsal dinner? That was horrible. It probably got worse after we left.
Para: I’m still amazed everyone bought that story about Anya’s…Demon’s being circus folk.
Tara: They were all drunk…they probably didn’t even notice. Did you see how much they drank?
Para: Yeah, Mr. Masterson threw up in my purse.
Anya walks around the corner and stops, seeing Tara and Para talking. Anya is in a white bathrobe, with curlers in her hair. Her mouth drops open. We can’t tell if she’s disgusted or if she’s about to cry of love.
Anya: Oh…
Tara and Para look at each other.
Anya sighs and moans, rubbing her eyes.
Anya: Oh…you guys look so beautiful!
She walks into the room and hugs both of them. Para and Tara look at each other confused and still disgusted.
Anya: This is the happiest day of my whole life!
Lightning.
ICE’S HOUSE
Ice: Ben, Have you seen my cufflinks?
Ben: No, I’ve got mine…Vader, you seen his?
Vader: No.
Ice: Damn it! I can’t find them anywhere!
John Arnold and Vanessa walk out from the back guest room. Vanessa is adjusting her earrings. John is putting his socks on.
Ice: Have either of you seen my…
John and Vanessa: No.
Ice: Poop!
Ben: Chill out…they’ll turn up.
One of Anya’s demons walk by.
Cody: Hey guys…how’s it going.
Cody’s face was distorted. He was a justice demon, a higher rank than Anya.
Ice: Cody, have you…
Cody: No.
The front door opens, as two figures come in, shaking the rain off their coats. A man steps forward taking his coat off, he’s wearing a tuxedo underneath. The woman takes her coat off and is wearing a fine dress.
Mr. Masterson: Ice! You’re not even ready?
Ice: I –
Mrs. Masterson: Ah! Look at my hair…I guess it doesn’t matter though, because I won’t be in any of the pictures.
Ice: YOU’LL be in the pictures, Mom. How about some breakfast?
Mrs. Masterson: I guess being plump wont matter…I won’t be in the pictures –
Ice: YOU’LL be in the pictures, MOM!
Mr. Masterson: That’s one of hers, right?
He points at Cody.
Mr. Masterson: You’re one of hers right?
Ice: Yes, Dad. You met Cody last night.
Cody: Yeah, you said I resembled your mother-in-law.
Mr. Masterson: Oh yeah.
Cody: Then you hit me with a cock-tail wiener and insulted my heritage.
Mr. Masterson: Being circus folk is heritage?
Mrs. Masterson starts buttoning up Ice’s shirt.
Mr. Masterson: I mean you no disrespect. I’m sure you come from a long line of circus geeks.
Ice steps in front of his dad, quieting him, still looking for his cufflinks.
Mr. Masterson: Kidding, kidding.
Vanessa: Ice!
Ice stops and turns around.
Vanessa: You know that guy, Cody?
Ice: Yes…
Vanessa: Well, I invited one of my girlfriends to come to the wedding, as you know, and I was wondering if he cleared up his skin problem…
Ice notices her ears.
Vanessa: Do you think he’d date a girl with a kid?
Ice: Vanessa…your earrings are my cufflinks.
Vanessa: They are?
She feels her ears.
Vanessa: Oh my. Whoops.
She hands them to Ice.
Ice: Excellent! Cufflinks, check! We’re on a roll! No force on earth can stop this wedding now.
CITY STREET – Raining, mid morning.
A shadow engulfed with flames appears, walking. He was an old man carrying some sort of a stick in his hand. The flames disappear as he puts the stick in the air and it turns into an umbrella.
Fade into opening Credits.

Ben punches a flooder – Ben running – Ben, Ice and Tara in a graveyard, fighting flooders – Ben spins around and kicks a flooder into an exposed tree branch, the flooder explodes into dust – [Starring Beno_yo] Ben pulls his wooden stake back towards his head, ready to strike
Para sitting with her feet propped on a desk – Ben and Para hugging – Para pulling out her stun gun - Para ramming a stake through Seth’s heart [Para_Girl] Para and Ben Kiss
Tara and Mandy sitting facing each other, doing a spell – Tara fixing her hair – Tara leaps into Ben’s arms and kisses him – [Aussie_Embryo] Tara and Mandy kiss.
Ice and Ben standing in a graveyard, flooders attack as Ice kicks one away – Ice rams a sword through a demon – Ice gives Anya a ring – [Icebreaker] Ice punches Seth to the ground.
Seth and Ben sitting in his crypt – Seth punches a flooder, who in turn punches him back – [Seth Rex] Seth smiles.
Anya counting the register at the magic box – Anya talking to Para and showing her pictures of dresses, Anya and Ice kiss, [JurassicChic31] Anya’s vengeance demon face.
Brad reading a book, and then looking up – Brad standing outside of a grave with Ben – Brad on a stage, grabbing the microphone [and Brad as Brad Giles] Brad pushes his glasses up to his face.
DRESSING ROOM – Church
Ice is sucking his gut in, as Para is trying to help him get his cummerbund on his waist. Ben is sitting in a chair in the corner with a smirk.
Ice: Is it too small? It can’t be. It fit earlier. How can it not fit now?
Para: It’ll fit.
[Guest Starring Mandee as Mandy]
Para rolls her eyes in disbelief.
Ice looks at himself in the mirror.
Ice: Man! What if people see that I’m not wearing it…Para, I must wear the cummerbund!
Para: And so…[grunt]…you [grunt]…shall! [Sigh!]
[John Arnold]
Para steps back, as she got the cummerbund attached.
Ice: You got it!
Para: Semi-Slayer Strength.
[Vanessa]
Para started to put his bow tie on him.
Para: Look at you. You look great, Mr. About to get married.
Ice: Well thank you.
Para: Your glowing.
Ice: I’m happy.
Para: Good.
[Becky]
Para sheds a tear.
Ice: Teary.

Ice: Not frustrated with tie teary?
Para: No, Happy for you.

She stops on the bow tie, because it’s just not going to happen.
Para: That makes me happy for me. You and Anya give me hope.
Ben walks out of the room. Para tries the Tie again.

Para: Proof that there could be a light at the end of our tunnel. And I cannot tie this tie…where’s your best man anyway, shouldn’t she be doing this?
Ice: She said she had something important to do.
ANYA’S DRESSING ROOM
Anya is standing on a podium as Tara and Mandy help her get her dress on. The oh so lovely green dress that Tara has on is also on Mandy. They are looking at each other giggling slightly as they dress Anya up.
Anya: I Anya, take you Ice to be your lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold and to kiss and to make sweet love to. I also want to point out that I will be there for you for the rest of your life, but since I’m a demon, I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, but I’ll still love you and be faithful to you while your dead.
Tara: Maybe you should drop a few words.
Anya: Like what?
Tara: Mentioning dead in a wedding service, uh, not exactly a brilliant idea.
Mandy: Yeah, and the whole being a slave to Ice, don’t bring up.
Anya: Oh, but I’m not his slave, just his little plunder bunny. [she sighs] This day is going to be perfect and wonderful at the same time! I get to marry my best friend today and spend the rest of my life with him.
Tara and Mandy looked at each other deeply.
Anya: Hey! Is my dress done yet?
Tara: Just a second.
Anya: I want to go see Ice right now.
Mandy: You can’t.
Anya: Why not?
Tara: Because it’s bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding.
Anya: Oh well pooh. Where’s Ben? Ben can see him for me.
Ben walked in the room. Anya shrieked.
Anya: You can’t come in here!!
Ben shut the door fast.
Ben: Anya…I just wanted to say from Ice, Hello.
Anya: Tell Ice that I love him with all my heart and I can’t wait. He is my boy toy.
Ben: Will do.
Ben walked away with his eyes wide opened.
CHURCH SANCTUARY
Anya’s demon family sat on one side of the church as Ice’s alcoholic family sat on the other side.
Mr. Masterson: Just give me…
Mrs. Masterson: No.
Mr. Masterson: Elaine…
Elaine: Wilson…
Wilson: Damn it!! I need my flask!
Elaine: You’ve already had enough.
Elaine swigs from the flask. Wilson pulls it from her mouth. He downs the rest of it.
Elaine: Hey! What am I supposed to drink?
Wilson: I don’t care!
The man with the umbrella came in the entrance. Ben noticed that he wasn’t part of Ice’s family.
Ben: Can I help you?
Man: I’m looking for Ice Masterson.
Ben: Well Ice is getting ready in his changing room, I take it your not going to be long.
The man looked at what he was wearing…slacks and a t-shirt with a trench coat.
Man: Not long at all.
The man walked off towards Ice’s dressing room.
Para stepped towards Ben, getting out of a conversation between one of Anya’s folk.
Ben and Para kissed.
Para: Hey baby.
Ben: What was that for?
Para: It’s a wedding day.
Ben: Not ours.
Para frowned and pouted her lip.
Para: It could be.
Ben: Oh and you really want to be with me for the rest of your life?
Para: I think it could work.
Ben: Oh good, at least you can think, so I guess I’d be set there.
They laughed. Para put her arms around Ben’s neck as if in a dancing-hug position.
Para: I don’t think I can live without you.
Ben: I think I could.
Para looked at him.
Para: What?
Ben: I died…
She laughed.
Anya’s voice cut over everything.
Anya: PARA!! I NEED YOU NOW!!
Para looked deeply into Ben’s eyes.
Para: Can you give me one reason why I should go?
Ben looked at her.
Ben: Well, you don’t have slayer strength, so I guess having a 1000 year old ex vengeance demon on my case wouldn’t be something I wanted…
Para and Ben: Without the slayer strength.
Para and Ben kissed passionately.
Para slid away to Anya.
ICE’S DRESSING ROOM
The old man knocked on the door.
Ice: Who is it?
The old man morphed into Tara.
Tara [Man]: It’s your best man!
Ice: Come on in Tara!
The old man disguised as Tara came into the room.
Ice: So what does my good old best friend in the whole wide world bring to me?
Tara [Man]: This letter from Anya. ‘Dearest Ice, I’m sorry, but I had to leave town. I don’t think I could handle marrying and spending the rest of my life with a pathetic looser like you. I would run like hell and pray that no one wishes something bad on you. I love you; I just don’t want to be with you. Signed Anya.’
The old man reappeared from his altered state, and then transformed into Becky.
Becky waved her hand and the door closed and the window opened. Majestic came through the window. He attacked Ice and knocked him out. Ice was unconscious.
CHURCH SANCTUARY
Ben clinched his stomach.
Ben: My slayer sense is tingling…oh that’s so cliché.
ICE’S DRESSING ROOM
Becky: Take him to the castle. Will use him to revive Falcon.
Majestic: What are you going to do?
Becky’s body morphed into Ice’s.
Ice [Becky]: Stay here.
~COMMERCIAL~
ANYA’S DRESSING ROOM
Anya: Well, I’m ready. Where’s Ice?
Para: You can’t see him.
Anya: Damn it!
Para: You’re going to see him for the rest of your life.
Anya: I know.
Para: I hope Ben would understand that. Being here makes me want him so much more.
Anya: That’s beautiful. No wonder I love you so much.
Para: What?
Anya: I’ve been holding this in for a long time, girls.
Tara and Mandy stepped towards Anya.
Anya: I don’t know when it happened, but we all met and we all became friends. I mean, I’m a freaking demon for Christ’s sake.
Para: Watch it.
Anya smiled.
Anya: You three have always been there, supporting me and Ice and well, I guess Ben, but I’m not marrying him, but I guess because of Ben we all met and became the four greatest friends. Without him and Slaying I would have never met Ice, or you Tara, or you Para, or you Mandy. And I just want to say…
Tara, Para and Mandy have tears flowing from their eyes, as Anya is about to burst into tears.
Anya: That I love you. And I know what love is. I know what pain and suffering is and I feel so horrible for what I’ve done to others being a vengeance demon and all. I never want to miss a moment with you three. I understand love. It’s other human emotions I don’t understand.
The four of them hug; the only sound is the sound of sniffling and light giggling.
CHURCH ENTRANCE
Seth walked in with some girl. He saw Para, walking away from the dressing room, adjusting her eyes.
Para: Aw. Seth brought a date!
Seth: Yeah, this is my date.
Para: She’s so…
Seth: My date. Yep, this is my date.
Para: Well that’s good.
Seth checked Para out. He licked his lips. Para saw this and slapped him across the face. Seth looked up immediately.
Para: Listen here…I nearly killed you before and don’t think I won’t kill you. You forget, you are a flooder…I am licensed to kill flooders.
Seth walked towards the door.
Seth: Well, that’s my date…we’re just going to go now.
Seth left.
Para: Pig.
ICE’S DRESSING ROOM
Becky now disguised as Ice looked in the mirror, it was her in a tuxedo, but everyone else would see her as Ice.
Ice: I’ve never looked so good.
Ben came in.
Ice: Ah…my other best man.
Ben: Uh, sure.
Ice: I mean it.
Ben: Oh, Anya said something to the effect that she loves you, can’t wait and you’re her boy toy.
Ice: Isn’t that sweet.
Ben: Yeah.
Ice: Have I ever told you how I felt about you?
Ben: Not really…
Ice: I love you.
Ben: I love you too…you’ve been my best friend for a long time.
Ice: No, I mean I really love you.
Ice’s hand went onto Ben’s shoulder. Ben clinched his stomach again.
Ice: Screw Anya. If I have you, I’m all the better.
Ice kissed Ben.
Ben punched Ice off of him.
Ben: I don’t have a freaking clue what’s going on, but I know that you are not Ice.
Ben grabbed “Ice” by the neck and pinned him up on the wall.
Ben: Where is he?
No answer. Ben grabbed harder.
No answer, still.
Ben released Ice and as soon as he did, Ice morphed into Becky.
Becky: I have him.
Becky went to kick Ben in the no-no spot but Ben did the splits right in time. Becky’s foot was in Ben’s hands. Ben leapt to his feet with Beck’s foot still in his hand. He grabbed her by the throat and threw her through the wall.
The Sanctuary was hushed as they heard the explosion of the walls. Ben jumped through the open spot on the wall landing on top of Becky. He was so powerful that they slid down the floor right to the foyer of the Church. Everyone was watching this hellacious battle before them.
Wilson: This reminds me…why are we paying for these freaks?
Elaine: They aren’t freaks.
Boa: That’s it. I’m tired of taking this.
Boa, A huge reptile like demon grabbed Wilson in a headlock and an all out battle went on between the Masterson Family and the Anya Folk.
Tara and Mandy were watching this. General John Arnold managed to escape the fray with Vanessa.
John: What in the hell is going on here?
Tara: Becky.
Tara pointed to where Ben was on his knees on top of Becky, punching her. Ben then grabbed her by the hair and started to pound her head to the ground.
Mandy: Jesus Christ! Oh. I mean, holy crap! He’s beating the hell out of her. In church!
Ben was still throwing punches and pounding her head into the ground.
Ben: Why are you doing this to me?
Becky: You? Why are you doing this to me?
Ben: You started it. You lied to me in Heaven…and I was pulled out from there by my friends and they thought I was in Hell.
Becky: You were in hell!
Ben: What?
Becky: Why do you think I’m here?
Ben: Because you want to be a pain in my ass?
Becky: I couldn’t stand it any longer in heaven. I knew if I came back and could kill someone I’d go to hell. Satan promised me a special spot.
Ben: And so I’m the key target.
Para came out from the behind and saw Ben on top of someone. She looked up and John was giving her a signal for getting a weapon.
Becky kicked Ben over and know was on her knees on top of him, punching and pounding his head into the ground.
Becky picked up a vase and chucked it at Becky. Becky stopped it with magic. Tara and Mandy grabbed hands and thrusted the Vase into her head. The vase shattered and flowers and water went everywhere.
Becky fell off Ben. Ben got up and saw Becky was out.
Ben: Geeze!
Para: One tough cookie, eh?
Ben: I know I am.
They smiled and kissed.
Ben: Excuse me for one second.
Anya came out of her Dressing room. She saw Ben and Para releasing each other. She then saw the unthinkable; Ben elbow dropped Becky as she was out cold.
Anya whistled. The fight in the sanctuary stopped and Ben got up.
Anya: WAIT A FREAKING SECOND. What in the hell is going on here?
Ice walked in from the rain, soaked to the bone. He had blood running down the side of his face.
Anya: All of you get back and sit down…WE ARE HAVING THIS WEDDING EVEN IF I HAVE TO KILL YOU ALL!
Anya saw Ice coming in.
Anya: oh!
~COMMERICAL~
She ran to him. They embraced.
Anya: Why are you wet? Oh, I don’t care let’s get married!
Ice: I can’t marry you.
A pause.
Anya: What?
Ice: I’m not ready. I don’t mean to do this, but I can’t.
Anya: But it wasn’t real. I didn’t send that to you.
Ice: I know it wasn’t you, but this is a big decision…this is the rest of our life. This isn’t just a special day of us kissing dressed up. This is you and I being together for the rest of our lives.
Anya: Is it me? I swear, I’ll change more, I’ll adapt. I will learn everything about humans and how to fit in. I promise.
She starts to cry.
Ice: It’s not you. I’ve had these thoughts and fears before this.
He looks off and sees his father yelling at his mother…a vision he had of him yelling at Anya takes over. He comes back to and still sees his dad yelling.
Anya: We can start over.
Ice: We can’t start over. [Tears start to come out of his eyes] If this is a mistake, it’s forever and I wouldn’t want to do that. Not to you. I don’t want to hurt you. Not that way.
Their hands slip off each other’s.
Ice: I’m sorry. I am so sorry.
Anya looks at him and walks towards the Altar. Ice walks out the doors.
Slowly pacing towards the Altar, the string quartet starts playing the wedding song. Anya is so afraid to burst into tears, but keeps her guard. All of her guests can tell by her face that the inevitable happened.
BEN’S HOUSE – Night
Para: Should we do something for her?
Ben: No, she wants to be alone.
Tara: It just hurts me to think of her.
Para: I thought they were happy.
Ben: They were…
Para: They were supposed to be the light at the end of my tunnel…but I guess it was a train.
Ben: I wonder where Ice is.
Para: I hope he’s okay.
CHEAP RAG MOTEL
Ice walks in as the door creeks open, still soaked from the rain. He collapses on his bed.
DEMON DEMENSION
Anya sits among the stars, still in her wedding dress, and still very sad. Her boss, Boa, comes towards her.
Boa: Are you okay?
Anya: I’m tired of crying and just tired.
Boa: Poor Anyanka. But you let him domesticate you. When you were a vengeance demon, you were at the top of your game, you would crush men like him.
A pause.
Boa: Perhaps it’s time you got back at what you do best…
Anya looks up at him…
