    JP Vacation Chapter 2
    By badraptor

“Be quiet and slowly walk back to the beach,” Billy said. All of a sudden, a loud roar thundered across the beach. A large head emerged from the jungle and stepped over the fence. Billy remembered what it was. It was a tyrannosaurus rex. Josh, Wyatt, and Billy ran back to where John was standing. The rex drooled, seeing all of the food he could eat. Another rex came out of the jungle and roared. Most of the people on the beach started running into the jungle, but the rexes were fast. The second one ran after them, while the first rex stood watching the last few passengers. A stout college guy -named Kenny-started throwing rocks at the rex.
“That won’t do anything to it! Just run away!” Billy shouted to him.
“Now’s no time to be a hero!!” Josh yelled to Kenny. He ran towards the man, but fell backwards when the rex roared and glared at him.
“It’s okay! Just get away from here!” Kenny replied. The rex growled at him and pounced on him like a cat on a mouse. The rex’s powerful legs crushed Kenny’s body. Blood gushed out of his mouth as his eyes stared at the ferocious creature. The rex then picked him up and carried him off into the jungle. The last few passengers, including John and Carrie, stood at the end of the beach, stunned by the rex.
After a few moments of silence, Wyatt noticed objects washing up to the shore. He walked over to one and opened it up. It had food in it! It was a large suitcase. Why would people put food in a suitcase, he wondered. Wyatt noticed a syringe in the suitcase. It was a diabetic’s emergency food supply. He called for Josh. The young man then walked over to him.
“Should we tell everyone that we found this?” Wyatt asked. Billy calmly walked over to them.
“Um, I think that we should keep that somewhere safe, so nobody tries to take it all,” he said. The men started to pick up some more suitcases, so no one became suspicious. The passengers that were left didn’t look happy. Everyone then started to get acquainted with each other.
“Hello, my name is Georgia. Do you know what just happened to that poor man?” John was looking at an obese woman that looked pampered and rich. He avoided her conversation. John then walked over to a young woman that looked like she had seen a ghost.
“Do you know what the hell that was? Oh, I’m Jenny. Do you know what that was, though? Oh my God, I can’t believe this is happening . . . this is so unreal . . . ,” the girl rambled on and on as John kept walking and talking to his fellow passengers.
Josh, Wyatt, and Billy talked about where they were.
“So we need to find the visitor center?” asked Josh. Billy had told them the encounters that Dr. Grant had had on the island.
“Yes, once we get there, we can contact help.” The rest of the passengers soon walked over to the three men.
“Um, I think we need to move away from the beach. That creature might come back,” John said, as he remembered the savage attack on Kenny.
“I think we can move on, but I have to say something important,” Billy stated to the dazed people standing in front of him, “ This island is inhabited by deadly genetically engineered dinosaurs. So that means that we have to stay together to be safe. Does everyone understand?”
The group gazed into the jungle, imagining what dangers awaited them in the journey ahead. Billy started walking into the jungle with Josh, Wyatt, and John.
“Maybe you were a little too um…honest?” Josh stated, knowing that the passengers were very confused.
