    School Day Chapter 10
    By aragorn_8

Sorry, I forgot I was posting this novel here until just recently.

    ~ CHAPTER 10 ~

    Fear

In the bathroom, Jeff and Allison were getting dressed, having some trouble since it was
    dark.
    "That was great!" Allison exclaimed.
"It was my first time." Jeff replied.
    "How sweet!"
"We really need to find your sister now, though." Jeff stood up, fully dressed.
"You're right. Lets go." Allison finished getting dressed and they walked out into the hall
and suddenly, Edward and Jamie ran right into them, almost knocking all four of them to the
    floor!
"Hurry!" Edward shouted. "The Reaper's coming! He killed Mr. Johnson and Mike and
    he's after us now!"
"Lets get out of here!" Jamie urged.
    "Where to?" Allison asked.
    "The theatre!" Jeff suggested.
    "Why there?" Allison asked.
"We had a tour of it yesterday in Drama class." Jeff explained. "There's an elevated
platform high above the stage that can support human weight. We can hide up there and set traps
below. We'd be high up and safe, and plus it's just back there around the corner."
"Good idea. Lets go!" Edward agreed.
As they started walking, they heard another set of footsteps and they all stopped on the
spot, frightened of it being Grim Reaper.
Suddenly another girl walked around the corner. She had a pink streak in her hair and she
was covered in body pericings and rings.
"What's going on?" She asked. "All afternoon I've been hearing screaming, but could
    never locate it."
    "Who are you?" Edward asked.
"My name's Angela Coates. I got stuck in the school when the power went out."
"Well Angela, you have a right to know what's going on." Jeff said. "There's a killer in
the school dressed as Grim Reaper, and this girl's sister is missing and we're trying to find her."
Angela would have broken out laughing, but she saw the seriousness in this guys's eyes,
plus she did hear screaming earlier, so it kind of all made sense.
"You're welcome to join us." Jamie added.
"Yeah." Jeff agreed. "Strength in numbers."
    "Ok."
"Well we better get going." Edward urged. "Grim Reaper was right behind us when we
    were running."
They all raced down the hall and entered the theatre and rushed through the chair aisles
until they got to the stage.
"I don't think he saw us come in here." Jamie whispered, catching her breath. Suddenly,
Allison let out a loud, blood-curdling scream. Everyone turned and saw what she screamed at.
Her sister was hung from the platform by a rope, her neck snapped. And then they saw
that her stomach was ripped open and her guts were hanging out, some on the floor below, others
    just hanging out.
"Ew, gross." Angela said, but she didn't really appear shocked.
    "Oh my god!" Edward whispered.
"Don't look at it, Allison!" Jeff said as he hugged her, and kept her head from turning to
look at it. Allison closed her eyes and put her head on Jeff's shoulder, crying.

Mike's mom was sitting at a table in her house, talking on the phone with a police officer.
"I'm sorry," The officer said. "We can't help you at the moment. There's a killer storm out
there. Besides, we can't do anything until 24 hours after the disappearance. Then we can file a
Missing Persons report and do something."
"I hope he returns." Mike's mom said. "I love him dearly. I don't think I ever told him
    that."
"That's nice Mam, but I gotta go."
Mike's mom hung up the phone without even saying good-bye and looked at Mike's baby
picture on the fridge. Tears started coming to her eyes as she thought about her only son being
    out in that storm.
She thought about calling her husband at work, but remembered that he was snowed in
because he called earlier, and they had to keep the phone lines free incase of emergency.

In the school, in a classroom, Jeff, Edward, Allison, Angela, and Jamie sat around, the
door locked. Jeff was still hugging Allison. After they had seen Savanna's body, they had turned
and ran out and down a hall, up a flight of steps, and down another couple of halls.
They had tried opening every single class room door along the way, but they had all been
locked. Then they came across one that wasn't locked, so they all ran inside and closed and
locked it, and they were going to wait there for awhile.
"Stop crying. It'll be alright." Jeff tried to comfort Allison.
"I'm never going to see her again." Allison cried. And then as that thought dawned on her,
she started thinking about all the fun times her and her sister had together and she cried harder,
    wanting it all to end.
"Don't worry." Jeff said softly. "We'll kill this thing. I don't care if I have to do it with my
    bare hands."
Allison moved away from Jeff's shoulder and looked at him in the eyes. "Thanks Jeff."
    Allison sniffed.
"This is nice and all," Jamie interrupted, walking over. "But I think we should go back to
the theatre and get up on that ledge."
"No." Jeff said sternly. "We're going to let Savanna rest in peace."
Suddenly, there was a banging at the door and everyone jumped.
"I'll check it out." Angela said as she got up and walked over slowly. She looked through
the window in the door and saw someone she didn't know. She had seen him a couple of times in
the halls before, back during school, the day before, but she didn't know him personally. She
unlocked the door and opened it to let him in.
"Is Jeff or Edward in here?" Asked the person as he walked in. Then he spotted them, and
at the same time, Jeff and Edward spotted the person Angela had let in: Dillon. He took an axe
    out from behind his back.
"Angela!" Allison shouted. "Why'd you let him?"
    "I didn't know!"
"Jeff, Edward, you guys are dead!"
"What's wrong with you?" Jamie asked as Angela slammed the door shut, locking it again.
"I'm pissed off! These guys broke beer bottles over my head and Steven's missing. I know
you guys did something with him!"
"You're crazy!" Jeff shouted, backing up. He knew Dillon meant business. Maybe he really
was Grim Reaper. In fact Jeff knew he was. He had to be careful with what he and Edward
    answered with from now on.
"There's someone going around dressed as Grim Reaper. He's already killed a few people.
Maybe Steven's the killer." Edward suggested, backing up with Jeff as Dillon got closer, holding
the axe he must have found by the main doors that they had dropped.
"Stop lying!" Dillon walked closer and rose the axe. Then there was a banging at the door
and a crack sound and they turned to look at it and saw that the door had splintered a little.
"What the hell?" Dillon asked, turning to face the door.
Then a scythe blade broke through, splintering the door some more, and it retracted back
out. A second later, a gloved hand reached in, felt around for the lock, unlocked the door, and
    left.
Everyone screamed when the door opened and Grim Reaper walked in.
"Steven!" Dillon shouted, walking up to the figure. "Stop playing, man!" Grim Reaper
shook his head slowly. It was at that moment that Jeff knew Dillon wasn't Grim Reaper and his
mind started racing to figure out who it could be.
"Steven?" Dillon called out. Grim Reaper rose his scythe and brought it down, but not
before Dillon had time to dodge out of the way, dropping the axe as he did.
They all ran around the killer and out of the room, screaming, even Angela who finnaly
got her first glimpse at the terror in the school.

At Edward's house, his mom was watching TV, when a small girl of about 4 or 5 walked
    in the room.
"Mommy, when is Eddie coming home?" The girl asked.
"I don't know. Probably went over to a friend's house once the storm started. I know the
roads are pretty bad out there, so he probably couldn't drive, and the wind's way to strong for
    him to walk here."
"Ok." The girl turned ran out of the room to go play with her toys.
"But still," Edward's mother said to herself. "He should call to tell me what's going on. I'm
    starting to worry."

In the Nurse's office of Great Mills High School, Ms. Winegrad woke up, her eyes slowly
    opening.
She sluggishly stood with a moan and looked around. Her vision was a bit blurry, but for
the most part she was able to see.
She went over to a cabinet and opened it up. She took out some bandages and started
putting them over her arm, which was hurting like hell. She thought maybe she broke it or
sprained it during the fall. Then she reached down and started bandaging her ripped leg. She took
out some painkillers and opened the lid, swallowing some.
She got some more bandages and a metal thing for broken noses, put it all in a bag, and
climbed back into the ceiling, which she found more difficult to do with a bad arm and leg, but she
    managed to do it.

In the school's two-floor library, Mr. Fink and Mrs. Wolfington were walking around the
    aisles of books, talking.
"So far, there's been no sign of the killer." Mrs. Wolfington pointed out. "At least not for
us. Not since it first tried to get in and left."
"I don't think this thing is human." Mr. Fink said. "I think it may be Death." Mr. Fink had
always been a superstitious person his entire life, even as a kid.
"Now don't jump to conclusions. There's no evidence to prove that. That's only an old
myth. A legend. It was used to scare people. There's no such thing as the real Grim Reaper."
"Believe what you want." They left the aisle and came to an area with a bunch of round
tables. They walked over to one and sat at it.

Grim Reaper walked into the nurses office, and went over to a tray on the wall and took
out several syringes and put them inside his cloak. He turned and walked out. His next kill was
    going to be very interesting.
It would have been Ms. Winegrad if he was only a couple minutes earlier.

Jeff, Dillon, Angela, Allison, Edward, and Jamie, were all hiding in the Industrial Arts
room. After they had ran from the classroom, they raced on, until they found the I.A. room, and
they went in, glad that the door was unlocked.
They were hiding in the darkness, and suddenly they heard loud footsteps from outside the
room, getting closer and closer, and soon enough, Grim Reaper had peered in the window in the
    door.
"Do something!" Jamie whispered at the others. As Grim Reaper started opening the door,
Jeff stood up and raced over to a counter and picked up a nail gun. usually these things would be
well hidden from students, but the I.A. teacher must have been in a hurry to leave.
Once Grim Reaper walked in, Jeff jumped out from his spot and held the trigger, firing
repeatedly at him. Grim Reaper's body started jerking as nails shot into him like bullets. Jeff never
stopped firing until all the nails were emptied, and Grim Reaper finally fell down, hopefully dead.
"Are you sure he's dead?" Angela asked as everyone rushed around his body, out of the
    room and down the hall.
"Pretty sure." Jeff answered. As they ran, they chanced a look back and to everyone's
surprise, Grim Reaper was walking out of the I.A. room and was heading towards them, as if
    nothing had happened.
"Impossible!" Jeff said. "I shot him over and over with a nail gun! He has to be dead!
Nothing human could have survived that."
"He ain't human!" Edward shouted as they ran.
"What are we going to do?" Dillon asked. He knew he hated Edward and Jeff, and now
Allison as well, but he also knew he had to get along with them if he wanted to survive, which
now, he figured was doubtful anyway.
"Get to school's attic." Jeff said. "The only way up is up a ladder. We get up and detach
    the ladder."
"Then we won't be able to get back down!" Edward pointed out.
"Yeah, but it won't be able to get up, either! And if we ever need to get down, we can just
    jump down."
"Good idea." Dillon agreed. Wow, him and Jeff actually agreed on something.
"I don't like being stuck in small dark places." Jamie announced.
"It's ok." Edward said. "I'll protect you."
"You better!" Jamie hit him across the shoulder as hey continued to run.
"What do you think?" Dillon asked Angela.
"I don't care. I just want to get the hell out of here."
    "Amen to that."
They finally had a plan, now they just had to carry it out.

Allison's father, Martin, sat on the couch, watching TV, really drunk. Allison's mother,
Connie walked into the room. It had taken her about half an hour to gather up the courage to go
confront her husband when he was drunk, but she had to get her feelings across.
"I'm worried." Connie expressed. "We haven't heard from Allison or Savanna yet."
"Go away, woman! Can't you see I'm watching TV?" Martin complained, his voice
    slurring.
"I think something might have happened to our children!" She stamped her foot on the
    floor.
"I said leave me alone!" Martin reached down and picked up an empty beer bottle and
turned in his recliner chair and threw it, hitting Connie in the head, causing the bottle to smash
and the pieces going all across the floor as Connie fell to the floor, unconscious.
Martin turned back to watch T.V. as if nothing happened.

Edward's mom was at home, worrying about Edward. Maybe he went over to Jeff's
house. She thought. She walked into the livingroom, to where she kept the closest phone, and she
picked it up, and speed dialled Jeff's house.
The other line started to ring, and she hoped against hope that her son was over there.
Another ring went by and there was still no answer. Then a third ring. Finally someone picked up.
"This is the Long's." A female voice spoke.
"Hi, this is Mrs. Washington, Edward's mom." She suddenly realised that she was talking
to an answering machine, and she was glad her daughter hadn't been there to see her.
"Please leave a message after the beep." Beep!
Edward's mother hung up the phone and sighed. Maybe I should try Mike's house. She
picked the phone up again and called over to Mike's house.
"Hello?" a voice came back, sounding as if it was filled with tears and sadness.
"Hi, this is Edward's mother. I was wondering if he was over there."
"Well Mrs. Washington, I was wondering the same about my son."
    "He hasn't come home either?"
"No." Mike's mom answered. "And I really need to get a hold of him. I just got a phone
call from the police." She started to cry.
"Is everything all right?" Edward's mom asked.
Mike's mom sniffled and continued. "His father was killed in a car accident on his way
home." Edward's mother gasped as Mike's mother finished explaining. "He tried to drive home
through the blizzard, and his car went out of control and drove into a power pole, causing it to
brake away and fall down, landing on the car, crushing him."
"I'm so sorry. Do you need any company?"
"No, that's alright." Mike's Mom sniffled. "The weather's too bad out there."
    "Ok, well take care."
    "You too."
Edward's mother hung up and started staring off into space.

Leticia and Candice were exploring the Home Economics room back at the school. They
had been walking by the room, when Leticia heard a crash inside, so they tried to open to door,
but it was locked. Leticia had taken a hair pin from her hair and picked the lock, which she
learned from her older sister how to do.
"I don't see anything!" Candice said as they walked through the dark room.
"I could have sworn I heard a noise in here." Leticia confessed, looking around. She knew
    she heard something.
"Lets get out of here." Candice turned to leave, but Leticia grabbed her suddenly.
    "Wait! Do you smell that?"
Candice sniffed. Was that the smell of gas? "Smells like a stove's on or something."
Leticia walked over to the nearest stove and saw a red light glowing from the burner.
"This grill is hot! Someone turned it on!"
Then, from out of nowhere, Grim Reaper appeared, his scythe tied to his back. He pushed
Leticia's face onto the hot stove burner, and held it firmly there, as if he wasn't even applying his
    full strength.
Leticia screamed in agony, while Candice screamed, turned, and ran out of the room,
using this as her chance of escape.
Grim Reaper let Leticia's head go, and she fell to the floor, her face half melted, showing
the bone in several places. The hissing sound of her face still sizzling was heard throughout the
room. She had been Grim Reaper's newest victim.

Candice ran down the hallway, screaming. Soon, Grim Reaper walked out of the Home
Ec. room and followed his prey, like a hawk would with a rat.

In the library, Mrs. Wolfington thought she heard someone scream.
"Someone's screaming!" She pointed out. She quickly wondered who it was, and by the
voice, she knew it was a girl. But who?
"Lets go!" Mr. Fink said as he took the gun out from his the top of his pants and they
raced out into the hall. When they got there, they saw Candice running towards them, still
screaming. The halls were even darker now as night had fallen outside, though the storm still
raged on, even worse then ever before, and it was only going to get even more worse from there.
"What's wrong?" Mr. Fink asked as Candice approached them. She stopped when she
    reached them and panted.
"He killed Leticia!" She screamed, tears rolling down her face. "Now he's after me!"
"Come with us." Mr. Fink cocked the gun as they all turned and headed back down the
hall. On their way, Mr. Fink stayed facing the opposite way, walking backwards.
Once they got inside the library, they went up the stairs to the library's second floor. When
they got to the library's second floor, they heard the sound of someone walking up the stairs and
they whipped around to see that Grim Reaper was walking up the stairs after them.
Mr. Fink turned around and started pressing the trigger. He emptied the gun into the
attacker and when the gun clicked on empty, Grim Reaper fell back down the stairs, backwards.
"I got him!" Mr. Fink shouted. They cheered as they finally got to the top of the stairs and
when they did, they looked back down to see that Grim Reaper's body was missing!
"Where'd he go?" Mrs. Wolfington asked, feeling frightened again. Their feeling of victory
had been short lived. "He couldn't just get up and walk away after that."
"He can't be far." Mr. Fink said. "Lets follow him and finish him off. Get him while he's
down." They started down the stairs again, walking fast, as they took out the switchblades that
    Brad had given them earlier.
Mrs. Wolfington hoped he wasn't far so they could finish him off and end this horror once
and for all and then focus on finding a way out of the school again, like back at the beginning of
    the day.

Ms. Winegrad was still crawling through the ducts with the supplies, getting closer and
closer to the office. She was getting a bit noisier as she crawled, but she didn't care. The faster
she went, the quicker she'd get there and all would be safe.

Jeff, Allison, Edward, Jamie, Angela, and Dillon walked fast down a hall. After a few
turns, they got back to the office. They passed by it and went up to the giant map on the wall.
"We're here." Jeff explained, pointing with his finger to a spot on the map. He traced a
path along the map with his finger, causing it to show that they had to go down some halls, up
some stairs to the very top floor, down more halls, and then they get to the attic stairs, which
would bring them to the attic, where they then could proceed with the rest of their plan.
"We just follow that path." Jeff explained.
"Sounds easy enough." Dillon said. They left the map and started walking fast down the
halls, following the path that Jeff had pointed out.
"Look," Jeff said to Dillon. "Lets forget about our hatred for each other and be friends so
that we can get out of this alive." Jeff stretched out his hand as they walked.
"Sure." Dillon agreed without hesitation and they shook hands. Then Dillon turned and he
and Edward shook hands. When Dillon tried shaking Allison's hand, she pulled away and walked
faster, walking ahead of him, pushing passed Edward to get ahead.
They continued to walk and after a few minutes, they saw a shape at the end of the hall
and they stopped dead in their tracks, being cautious as to who it was.
"Hello?" Angela shouted out. They saw the shape take something off it's back and turn to
face them, then it started walking towards them. As it got closer, they saw that it was Grim
Reaper and he had just taken his scythe off his back!
"Run!" Angela shouted. Jamie and Dillon ran down one hall, while Jeff, Edward, Angela,
and Allison ran down another. None of them had meant to split up, it was just reaction as to
    which way they ran.

Angela, Jeff, Edward, and Allison ran up a set of stairs and down a hall. Soon they got to
the entrance to the library and they ran inside.
"I think we lost him." Edward said, catching his breath.
"I think he went after the others." Angela said. Allison nodded in agreement.
Jeff was hunched over, catching his breath, but he turned his head around to look out in
the halls. He wanted to say something, but was too tired from running. So he thought it. God help
    them.

Jamie and Dillon ran down a hall lined with classrooms on both sides. They kept trying to
open the doors, but they were always locked. They tried one and rattled the door knob, finding it
locked. They tried another, but had the same result. Another and another, but they were all locked
and it was causing Dillon and Jamie to get frustrated.
Jamie looked behind them and saw Grim Reaper walking up the hall towards them and she
    screamed.
Dillon turned and once he saw this, moved faster at trying to find an unlocked door. He
knew he should have left the doors alone and continued running, but some feeling told him to
keep trying and the next door he tried, to his utter surprise, the handle turned and he opened it.
He pulled Jamie in, closing the door behind them. He tried to lock it, but saw that the
handle was broken, which was why it wasn't locked. "Crap!" He whispered loudly, trying to think
of another way to keep it shut.
He turned and ran to a desk and pushed it over. Then Jamie joined in and together they
started moving the desks to block the door, piling some on top of each other.

Grim Reaper tried several times to get the door open. He turned the handle and it moved,
but he tried to push the door opened, but it wouldn't budge. It seemed that the teens on the other
side had blocked it with something.
The rats were getting smarter, just like any other rat in a maze, but in the end, the results
were always the same. The first bunch of rats always lost. Grim Reaper turned and walked away,
knowing he'd get them later. He'd let them get their sense of false-security.

"He can't get in." Dillon cheered. "We're safe!" They began to laugh and high-five each
other, and as they laughed, they were soon joined by a third voice laughing.
They stopped laughing and their eyes went wide as the third voice continued to laugh.
They looked at each other, their hearts stopping in their chests. They didn't want to turn around,
after all, how could Grim Reaper have gotten in? But they had to, and when they did, they saw
Steven hiding under the teacher's desk!
"Steven!" Dillon shouted. Steven stood up and walked over to them, holding a fire
extinguisher. It was him who had broken the door knob. He tried getting into different rooms and
he got mad, so he slammed the extinguisher down on it, braking the doorknob and allowing the
door to open. He then had ran inside and under the desk, which had wooden sides going to the
floor, all the way around it, except for where the chair goes under the desk.
"I found this to use as a weapon." Steven explained.
Jamie started freaking out again. "I'm trapped in a room! I hate being trapped in small
rooms! I need Edward. Where's Edward?" She started searching frantically.
"He's not here and we all have to stay in here." Dillon said. "It'd be crazy to leave. That
thing could be waiting for us."
"I'll try to overcome my fear." Jamie gulped.
"That's what we wanna hear!" Steven cheered.

In the library, Angela, Jeff, Edward, and Allison had met up with Candice, Mrs.
Wolfington, and Mr. Fink. It had happened quiet funny. Kind of what happened with Dillon,
Jamie and Steven. Candice and the teachers heard voices and went to check them out. Jeff,
Angela, Edward, and Allison of course, had their backs turned, so when they came down to the
first floor and called out to them, Jeff, Edward, Allison and Angela screamed and whipped
    around, seeing the others.
They were now sitting at the tables, talking.
"That thing can't be human!" Mr. Fink exclaimed. "I shot him with a gun until it was
empty and it's still out there somewhere, lurking around."
"I know!" Jeff said. "I shot him with a nail gun a bunch of times and it didn't stop him. He
just got right back up as if he didn't feel a thing."
"I don't understand." Mrs. Wolfington said. "If this thing isn't human, then what is it?"
"Death." Angela announced, looking at her. "We're dealing with death."
"You're saying that it's the real Grim Reaper straight from Hell?"
    "Yes."
"So what's the plan?" Candice asked.
"We're going to go to the attic." Jeff explained. "That's what we were going to do before
    we were split up."
"No!" Mr. Fink shouted. "It can climb up after us! It would have us trapped up there!"
"Not if we cut the ladder. Then once we get to the attic, we can find a way to the roof,
where we'll get down with this." Jeff removed a big bundle of rope from his jacket pocket. "Got it
at the I.A. room. Thought it might be useful."
The others looked at him and he smiled back. Allison loved that smile and it caused her to
smile as well. She was sitting next to Jeff, and even in this time of crises, she moved her hand over
and grabbed Jeff's and they held hands, and it was then that Allison knew it was going to be
    alright.
Whatever happened, her and Jeff would survive and they'd live to tell about the tale and
go out on dates. After all, if this thing was from Hell, then that meant there had to be a heaven,
and God wouldn't ruin something this perfect. Not when it was started amid a chain of disaster,
and it was something that both of them had been trying to accomplish for so long.

Jamie looked over at Steven and Dillon, who were talking. She couldn't stand being
trapped any longer, so she stood up and grabbed the fire extinguisher. She walked over to the
desks, and with a couple of strikes with her arms, they were all knocked down with a loud crash!
Then she started toppling the others out of the way.
Dillon and Steven rushed over, but it was too late. She had the door opened and was out
    in the hall.
"What the hell are you doing?" Steven yelled as he and Dillon poked their heads out from
    the doorway
"Get back here!" Dillon shouted. They watched her ignore them and walk further and
further down the hall, soon being swallowed up by the darkness.
They looked out a window across the hall and saw that evening had come. They looked at
each other, knowing that Jamie had just left them alone, and she had their only line if defence with
    her.

Ms. Winegrad was above the office. She jumped down through the duct and landed on the
office floor, feeling the pain shoot up through her leg and arm as she landed.
She looked around just to see that no one was there.
Where is everyone? She asked herself. She laid the bag of supplies down on the main desk
and started walking around the office, looking to see if anyone was there.
Soon enough, she had found Mike's dead body. She backed away in horror and disgust,
putting her hand over her mouth, trying not to scream.
As she was backing up, a syringe flew and dug into the back of her head like a dart. All
she felt though, was a prick in the back of her head. Others soon followed, hitting her in the back
of the head, neck, and back, just like a dartboard.
She started getting dizzy, lost her balance, and fell down on her back, pushing the
syringes deeper into her, the one in her head, going up through and coming out her forehead.
Grim Reaper turned and walked away from his spot in Mr. Johnson's office. He then
walked out of the office and into the halls.

Megan, Leticia's sister, had changed into her cop uniform and was putting on a jacket and
    mitts.
"Where are you going?" Her father demanded.
"Dad, there's some trouble over at Great Mills and I was called in to help."
    "What kind of trouble?"
"I can't discuss that. I don't want you to worry though. I'm sure Leticia's fine."
    "Be careful."
"Thanks." Megan turned, after putting on a warmer hat, and left, going outside into the
    blizzard.

Jamie walked down a dark, quiet hall, holding on tightly to the fire extinguisher. Suddenly,
two figures in the dark flew out and tugged Jamie.
She screamed and activated the fire extinguisher, spraying the figures, knocking them to
the floor as the white spray shot out.
"Calm down!" A voice yelled. She turned off the extinguisher and saw Brad and Jesus
lying on the floor, covered in the white dust.
"Oops. Sorry." Jamie reached down her hand and helped them to stand up. "This thing
that's hunting us. It's not human."
"What do you mean?" Brad asked, brushing himself off from the cold material. Jesus was
    doing the same.
"Jeff shot it with a nail gun and it just kept coming."
"If it was the real thing," Brad said. "Then it could easily have had us all killed by now. If
it is the real Grim Reaper it would be able to disappear and stuff." Unless he's just playing with
us, for his enjoyment, until he feels ready to kill us. Brad added as an afterthought.
"It's probably just a person in a costume wearing a bullet proof vest." Jesus suggested.
"Good point." Jamie agreed. "But right now all I want to do is find Edward. We got split
apart." She couldn't believe she had gotten into a fight with him! She was going to forgive
Edward and they were going to go out, and everything was going to be alright in the end.
"We'll look for him as we walk." Brad said.
Jesus spoke up. "I hope this is just a dream. I hope I'll wake up in my bed in the morning."
Jamie suddenly swung her hand up and slapped him really hard.
    "Ow! That hurt!"
"Then this isn't a dream." Jamie snapped coldly. The three of them walked down the hall,
Jesus going onto the other side of Brad, staying away from Jamie. She had to smile at how
intimidated this geek was by her.
