    Come What May Part 4
    By aragorn_8

At Lunch, They were all sitting together, except for Joline, who wasn’t in the Cafiteria. Jacob had some ice cream and he put some on a spoon and Robyn opened her mouth and started gigling. Jacob started laughing as he moved the spoon towards Robyn’s mouth, and he missed and got some ice cream on her nose.
They both broke out laughing so hard, they couldn’t stop.

Justin and Rick were sitting across from them.

*Start of CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT*

    RICK
    Can’t you see what’s happening?

    JUSTIN
    What?

    RICK
And they dont’ have a clue.

    JUSTIN
    Who?

    RICK
They’ll fall in Love and here’s the bottom line, our Trio’s down to two.

    JUSTIN
    Oh.

    RICK
    The sweet smell of spring,
    There’s magic evreywhere
and with all this romantic atmorpshere,
    Disaster’s in the air

Jacob and Robyn are at Portugal Cove during the night, once it got dark and are walking up a road, going up a hill, holding hands, playfully shoving here and there.
On a power line going across the street, a bunch of birds are looking down.

    BIRDS
Can you feel, the love tonight,
    The peace the evening brings
The world for once, in perfect harmony
    With all it’s living things.

Jacob and Robyn are at a pond and there’s a big rock, not far from shore, but it’s a long jump. Jacob keeps trying to jump, but Robyn, smiling, tries to stop him.

    JACOB
So many things to tell her,
but how to make her see,
the truth about my Move. Impossible!
She might turn away from me.

    ROBYN
    He’s holding back, he’s hiding,
    but what I can’t decide.
Why won’t he be the boyfriend I know he is,
    The Boyfriend I see inside.

    BIRDS
Can you feel the love tonight?
    The peace the evening brings

Jacob goes to make a jump for the rock, and lands on the side and slips and falls in and Robyn brakes out laughing. Jacob surfaces, laughing as well. He grabs Robyn by the legs and pulls her in. She surfaces and they both laugh as they swim around in the pond, the only light from the moon and stars.
The next bunch of scenes play during the next couple verses:
Jacob and Robyn holding hands and walking together in school. Both running away from the Tappers, laughing as they run inside the Mini-Mall to get away. Both running away from MQP, laughing, and getting away.
Robyn passing a note to Jacob as they pass each other in the halls, between classes. Jacob giving a note to Robyn. This goes on a few times.

    BIRDS
The world for once, in perfect harmony
    With all it’s living things.

Can you feel, the love tonight?
    You needn’t look to far.
    Stealing through the night’s uncertainties,
    Love is where they are.

Justin and Rick are at their lockers, watching Jacob and Robyn at Robyn’s locker.

    RICK
And if, he falls in love today,
    it can be assumed...

    JUSTIN
His carefree days with us are history.

    RICK AND JUSTIN
In short, our pal is doomed.

They look at each other and start crying. As they do, a tall person walks by in the hall and pushes them both into their lockers. “Deal with it, cry-babies.” and he walked away.

    A couple of months later...

Jacob and Robyn are walking around the halls and Rick is with them. “Did you guys here about the School Board?” he asked
“Yeah.” Jacob answered. “Over the summer, they want to move practically everyone into different schools.”
    “Why?” Robyn asked.
“They say it’s so they go to schools closer to them, so it saves fuel for the buses and cars and stuff. And it saves us time. Though, if you look around, everyone’s arguing about it, nobody wants the change, they like it the way it is.”
Justin ran up to them as Robyn and Jacob looked around and saw people yelling and complaining about the new School Board decision. It still had to be voted on, so it wasn’t final yet.
“They say it’s for the best.” Justin said.
Jacob was suddenly hit with a pain in his heart, reminded of what his parents said about their moving and how his mom had said the same thing.
“If they decide to go ahead with it, what school we go to well be decided upon where we live.” Rick continued.
“That sucks!” Robyn yelled. She turned to Jacob. “That means we’ll be going to different schools next year.”
“Ah...” Jacob didn’t know how to tell her. “We would have been anyway.” he said quietly.
“What are you talking about?” Robyn asked, stopping and turning to look at him. Jacob looked at Rick and Justin and they knew what they had to do. They turned and left, walking away. Jacob had already told them about his move and now it was finnaly time to tell Robyn.
“Listen, I’ve put this off long enough.”
“What?” Robyn asked. “What ever it is, you can tell me.”
Their eyes met as Jacob explained. “I’m moving this summer. To Alberta.”
Robyn took a minute to soak it all in. “But that’s, like, on the other side of the country. When did you find out?”
Jacob was afraid she’d ask that question. “Two months ago.” he swalloed. His throat was suddenly very dry.
“Why didn’t you tell me then?”
Jacob sighed. “I was afraid you wouldn’t want to continue to go out with me, because I was moving and we’d have to brake up in the end. Anyway.”
Robyn started to laugh and hugged Jacob. “I’d never have done that. Is that why you didn’t tell me?”
They stopped hugging and continued walking. “All this means is that we’ll have to make the best of what time we have left.”

Later, in Math, Mr. Park was teaching. “You guys continue with you’re work. I have to make a trip down to the office.” and he left.
Rick turned to Jacob. “So, how did Robyn take the news?” he asked with concern.
“Very well, actually. We’re still going out.” Jacob smiled. “We’re going to a movie tonight.”
    “Which one?”
“Either The Mummy, or The Matrix. I’ve already seen the Matrix and it’s really good, but Robyn really wants to see The Mummy, so we’re probably going to be going to that.”
    “Ah cool! Can I come?”
“It’s supposed to be a date between me and Robyn, but I’ll ask.” Jacob said with a chuckle.

That evening, at the mall, Jacob and Rick were at a payphone and Jacob was hanging it up.
“So, what did she say?” Rick asked.
Jacob smiled. “She said you could come.” Rick started to smile as well, but then Jacob’s smile went away. “And she also invited someone else as well.”
“Who?” Rick asked, his smile also going away.
“Supposedly she’s starting to talk to Shane again. He’s coming.”
    “Ah crap.”
“Come on, let’s go get the tickets.”

At the ticket line, Rick and Jacob were walking away, holding their tickets. Jacob also had Robyn’s ticket. He put them in his pocket.
“Where did she say we were meeting?” Rick asked.
“Over there.” Jacob and Rick walked over to a bench in front of the theatre and waited. Soon enough, Shane walked over with a friend - Robert.
    “Oh no.” Rick quietly moaned.
“What?” Jacob asked. Rick pointed. “Oh no. What’s he doing here?”
“He’s with me.” Shane answered. “We just got our tickets.”
    “So did we.” Rick said.
“So you guys looking forward to seeing The Matrix?” Robert asked.
“We’re seeing The Mummy.” Jacob said, standing up.
“I’ve already seen that.” Robert said. “It sucks. We’re seeing The Matrix.”
“Well I’ve already seen that, and I haven’t seen The Mummy yet.” Jacob argued. “And Robyn really wants to see it.”
“Well I’ve already got her ticket for The Matrix.” Robert said.
“What?” Jacob yelled. “She’s My girlfriend! You don’t buy My girlfriend a ticket to a movie she doesn’t even want to see! I bought her a ticker to The Mummy, and she said she really wanted to see it!”
“Fine then. Let’s go cash it in.” Shane and Robert turned and walked away.
“Good.” Jacob said, sitting down. “At least they’re seeing a different movie then us now.”
“So, like, when are you going to kiss Robyn?” Rick asked. “You’ve been going out for a long time and you haven’t even kissed!”
“I want it to be dramatic. I’ll kiss her on the last day of school.”
“She doesn’t care about being dramatic.”
“She well. Trust me.” Jacob smiled.
“Hey guys!” they turned and Robyn ran over to them. Jacob stood up and hugged her. When they finished, he handed her, her ticket.
“What movie?” Robyn looked at her ticket and saw that it was for The Mummy. “Oh, thank you!” she hugged Jacob again.

They had got inside the theatre and started walking down the aisle, looking for a good seat. They found one and Robyn and Jacob sat next to each other and Rick sat on the other side of Jacob.
Before the movie started, they heard, “Hey guys.” Jacob and Rick whipped their heads and saw Shane and Robert walking towards them and sit down, Robert sitting on the other side of Robyn.
“Damn, they changed their tickets.” Jacob whispered to Rick, who was moaning. Soon aftre, the movie started and Jacob put his arm around Robyn, and throughout the movie, Robert kept trying to put the moves on Robyn.
He tried to put his arm around her once, but Jacob knocked it away. Then through out the movie, Robert would lean back, behind Robyn and fling popcorn and Jacob. Then, he put his hand on Robyn’s leg and started to move it.
Robyn moved closer to Jacob and away from Robert, who got the hint and moved his hand back to himself. He still threw popcorn at Jacob throughout the movie, but one hit Robyn and she turned on him.
“Well you stop throwing popcorn and me and my boyfriend?! And by the way, next time you even think about touching me, you little worm, I’ll kick your butt so hard, you won’t be able to sit down for a week!” she whispered loudly.
Robert and Shane stood up and walked out of the theatre. They’d never see very much of those two after that. The rest of the movie was very enjoyable.

Later that week, at lunch, Jacob, Justin, and Rick were at Robyn’s locker, waiting for Robyn. After 15 minutes of waiting, Jacob began to get scared. “Where is she?” he asked, looking around the halls. “The rest of her class is out for lunch. If she had detention, she would have got Megan to come and tell me.”
Suddenly, Megan ran up to them, out of breath. “Megan, what is it?” Justin asked.
    “Robyn, she’s in trouble!”
“What? What kind of trouble?” Jacob asked.
    “Tapper trouble! She’s outside.”
“Jacob, wait.” Rick said, btu it was too late, Jacob was already gone.

Outside, one of the Tappers had Robyn cornered against the side of the school. Whenever she tried to move, he’d step in front of her, and he’d push her back into the wall.
Jacob stormed out of the school, mad, seeing this, and walking fast. Then he saw the Tapper grab her by her wrist and started to drag her away.
“Hey!” Jacob yelled. The Tapper turned around just in time to see Jacob charge him. Jacob jumped in the air at the last second and rammed into the Tapper, sending him into the wall, and letting go of Robyn.
The Tapper swung around and swung Jacob into the wall, but he did it by grabbing onto Jacob’s shirt, therefore, ripping the sleeve all the way down the side. The side fell to the ground and half of Jacob’s chest was seen.
He brought his hand bac and then brought it forward hard, punching the Tapper. Suddenly, the other Tappers ran from around the corner.
    “Get him!” they shouted.
Robyn pulled Jacob away and they began running, being joined by Justin and Rick, the Tappers in close pursuit.
They were chased down the street and they ran out in front of the mini-mall. They all stopped to catch their breaths, and Jacob looked behind them and didn’t see that Tappers coming.
    “Where’d they go?” he asked.
Then suddenly an apple flew over the roof from the other side and smashed on the ground in the parking lot, a few metres from them. Then an orange came and that was soon followed by a pudding.
“Boy, they have bad aim.” Justin whispered to Rick. Jacob reached down and picked up the pudding, which had exploded on the ground, and flung it back over the roof. A second later, they heard one of the Tappers loudly moan.
And then the Tapper shouted, “I’m going to kill them!” soon enough, the Tappers ran around the corner and one of them had chocolate on his shirt.
“Time to run!” Rick said. They turned and ran inside IGA, the Tappers not far behind. Once inside, they slowed to a fast walk, as not to arouse attention, and they walked quickly through the aisles, and out into the mini-mall.
They looked behind and saw the Tappers were still running after them. The Tappers reached them and grabbed Jacob by the shirt collar and started walking with him.
“Let him go!” Robyn shouted, tugging on them.
Suddenly, a security guard came over. “Let him go.” he sighed. The Tappers did. “Now get out of here.”
The Tappers turned and left the mini-mall. Jacob, Robyn, Rick, and Justin continued on to the other exit and went out.
    “That was a close call.”
“I wouldn’t talk yet.” Justin said. They turned and saw the Tappers after them again.
“Ah hell.” Jacob sighed. They turned and ran up a small hill and saw they were right next to Mary Queen of Peace! Suddenly, all the kids that were outside, turned and saw them.
The group stopped in their tracks. “Well this can’t be good.” Rick stated the obvious.
They turned and ran towards the street with all the MQP kids and the Tappers after them. They reached the street and crossed, avoiding cars, and causing others to screech to a stop. In the end, they made it back to the school, leaving all the others behind.
