The next day, I heard a noise from the oppposite end of the 'pen' as the humans called it. So, I decided to investigate it. Another member of the pack had survived. So, there were officially 3 of us.
It began to get dark very early in the day. There was a sharp crack from the sky as water started to pour down on us. Typical day on the island. Miserable.
It was a particularly bad night. Water was falling from the sky in big drops as flashes of light dropped down from the sky. I was tossing an turning in my sleep when something woke me up.
A cry. Of freedom. A very loud one too. Something didn't seem right. The usual noise of the fence hadn't stopped, but something was very wrong.
The ground was vibrating furiously. Another cry rang out over the island. In the distance, I heard a person screaming.
Humph. Serves them right.
After that, I went back to sleep. But not even a little bit after I was asleep did I hear one of the human transports go flying by.
Not too much later or far away, there were screams of 'Dr. Grant!', whom ever that was. I didn't care.
The next morning, I wasn't awakened by the sound of the fence, rather, no sound from the fence. Then, a sudden burst of light as it exploded in one area...
