DEMONS

This is a short poem a wrote in school the other day...this poem is the basic concept of a story I've had in production quite sometime..."NIGHTMARE: Distorted Sanity"...Look for that in Summer 2003...until then...here ya go...please comment

“DEMONS”
It’s coming for me…
I sense him…
Stalking me through the midnight breeze…
Night after night his search continues…
His conquest…
Ever so closer he comes…
Emerging from all obstacles with ease…
Motivated by the thought of my own demise…
Motivated by the thought of mutilation towards his own creator…
His, God…
I know now…
Demons DO exist…
Not the hideous beasts known to storm the underworld…
But true monsters…
Their origin is not that of hell…
Not that of some eternal hellish paradise…
Their origin is much more darker than that…
Far Darker…
Demons exist…
We create them…
The mind is the most powerful weapon known to the world…
All emotions hidden deep within…
All the emotions you’re afraid to let the world see…
All those emotions tend to get out of hand sooner or later…
And being hidden, you never know until it’s to late…
Those emotions, which feed our soul, then mutate our inner selves…
Creating an alternate self…
A demonic self…
Hidden amongst the happiness you know on the outside…
However…
All it takes is one traumatic experience to release it amongst the world…
One hellish experience to thyself to raise hell amongst all civilizations…
They walk the Earth because we no longer have control over ourselves…
Much less our inner selves…
It’s our ‘feelings’ and ‘emotions’, which they thrive off of…
Our blood which feeds their animated corpses…
We bring life to them…
And they seek to snatch it from us…
Sanity begins to falter…
Meaning to life has no meaning…
Running gets you nowhere…
Screaming falls upon deaf ears as your blood falls upon the cool earthed floor…
Survival is all that matters…
What point is there in survival though…?
What point is there in knowing that it’s always coming…?
For every day you survive…
So shall it…
Demons stop at nothing…
They’ll hunt for an eternity if need be…
Controlled by your own thoughts…
They always know where you are…
Never losing track…
You are one and the same…
So therefore…Once you and your mind perish…
So shall the form of your tormenter…
