Warpath: Jurassic Park 4 Movie Script Part 3

CUT TO:
IN: BIOSYN BREIFING ROOM-DAY
Three men are sitting at a small office meeting table. They are Lewis Dodgson, George Baselton, and Howard King. The men are basically wispering to each other, but stop when they hear a door open as the camera pans to show that the man entering the door is the same man that was listening to Malcolm and Wu minutes before. This man's name is Ed James. The man walks forward and sits down at the table. Dodgson smiles.
DODGSON
"So what do you have for us?"
JAMES
"Your speculations of John Hammond were correct. He's sending a geneticist named Henry Wu to the island at the same time wie're going. Wu is getting a team together as we speak."
DODGSON (smiling)
"Hammond is a fool if he thinks he can stop us. Whom is this Wu guy taking with him?"
JAMES(Taking several pictures out of a briefcase)
"Alan Grant, Paleontologist, as well as Ian Malcolm, Mathematician. He's also got a man named Jack Thorne creating their field vehicles. I should however meantion that Grant is not exactly on the team yet. Wu and Malcolm are in the process of flying out to Montana right now."
DODGSON
"Is there anyone that works at Grant's dig site that we should be suspecious of?"
JAMES
"Most of the people that work there are teenagers. However, there is another well trained Paleontologist there named Richard Levine. He might decide to go along, but it's uncertain."
DODGSON
"What about Malcolm's wife? Is she going?"
JAMES(shaking his head)
"She's staying home to watch over their baby."
DODGSON(shaking his head)
"Do you know about anyone else?"
JAMES
"That's all I've been able to get out of this case sir."
DODGSON
"That's all I really needed to know. Now that we know who we're dealing with, we'll be able to get the job done much easier. I've decided to take a less expensive and quicker approach to what we're going to do!"
JAMES (confused)
"You've made a change in plans?"
Dodgson leans to the ground picking up a small black box and sets it on the table.
DODGSON(smiling)
"We will use this on the aimals and then take the eggs out of the nests."
JAMES (still confused)
"What are you going to do? Hit the animals in the head with the bloody thing!"
DODGSON(laughing)
"When you turn this button on the side on, a loud pitched scream will be heard fro miles, however only the animals will really hear it."
BASELTON
"It's kind of like a dog wistle."
KING
"The only real exception is that since it's for dinosaurs and most of them are much bigger we had to make the sound amplify better."
JAMES
"So you're saying that the animals will just back off and you guys will get the eggs?"
DODGSON
"Exactly. Plus with this we don't need a large team and only one vehicle. Mr. Rossiter likes the idea of having to spend so little money on this."
JAMES
"Well when do we leave?"
DODGSON (smiling)
"Within the hour."
CUT TO:
EX: PALEONTOLOGICAL DIG SITE-MONTANA-DAY
Camera shows a small dig site with several young people walking around and others digging in the ground.
CUT TO:
Richard Levine and his son in dig site trailer talking while the boy stares out the window.
LEVINE
"So how long exactly will this friend of yours be here?"
ROBERT
"A month I hope, and he's my best friend!"
Levine(putting hands up in defense)
"Ok! Ok! Listen Dr. Grant is on the warpath right now for some reason. He's wanting to leave the site and I have to figure out why. What's your "Best friend's" name by the way?"
ROBERT
"His name is Matt Malcolm. He's on his way here right now by helicopter believe it or not. His dad and some other guy are coming also. It's something really big I believe."
Suddenly a sound from a helicopter is heard getting closer to them.
ROBERT(continuing while now smiling)
"They're here!"
Robert runs out the door leaving Levine alone. Suddenly Levine hears a song being played from one of the other rooms farther down in the trailer. The song being played is "Pushing Me Away" by Linkin Park.
CUT TO:
IN: ROOM IN TRAILER-DAY
Camera shows Alan Grant going through several of the drawers in the room and quickly putting things in a suitcase. He then switches the radio off and turns around to see Richard Levine standing outside the door leaning on the frame.
LEVINE
"Some people have arrived in a helicopter. I just thought you'd like to know."
GRANT
"I'm not here! Tell them I'm in Paris."
LEVINE(laughing)
"No, Billy's in Paris with the Kirbys. You're here."
GRANT
"Tell them to leave Richard!"
Grant moves past Levine when he hears a door knock. He runs up to the window and looks out the blinds seeing a chinese man dressed in a suit. He emediately realizes it as Henry Wu. Grant runs out the back door of the trailer with suitcase in hand and jumps behind a tent. He crouches low breathing hard and looks past the tent at all of the workers.
MALCOLM(o.s.)
"I know how you feel and it's not going to help things by hiding."
Grant turns around startled and then furious.
GRANT
"How dare you show up here! You know that I don't want to be involved in InGen anymore!"
MALCOLM(smiling)
"We can't run everytime we here a Tyrannosaur roar."
GRANT
"It works for me! Just leave me alone. I'm not going back to any of those islands again!"MALCOLM(looking at Grant sturnly)
"Are you going to let me look like a hero and you a coward?"
GRANT
"Better then being dead!"
MALCOLM(laughing)
"I know how you feel and believe me I don't want to be involved in this just as much as you do, but the fact is that we have no choice but to stop Lewis Dodgson before something bad happens and you know it will."
Grant turns away discusted.
MALCOLM(continued)
"InGen's prepared to pay you as much money as you need as long as you're on the team. They need you. I need you."
GRANT(turning around)
"You need me?" (Laughing) "Now that's a surprize."
MALCOLM
"Come on Alan. This is our chance to finally end all of this. Don't you want this nightmare to just end? It finally will once we get this done. I'm asking you, no I'm begging you to help Henry and I. If not for us, then for your dig site, your work, the world!"
GRANT
"You've made your point! Just shut up and let's get this over with!"
Grant and Malcolm both walk back out into the open where Wu and Levine then see them and start walking toward them. Wu shakes hands with Grant.
WU
"Dr. Grant I must ask you-"
MALCOLM
"Don't worry Henry. I've convienced him already. We can get going."
WU
"I knew that. I was going to ask Dr. Grant if he'd allow Dr. Levine here to go along?"
GRANT(looking at Levine)
"I'm not sure if that's the best idea. We need someone here to look after the site!"
LEVINE
"There's what thirty other people here? Come on Alan. Let me come along."
MALCOLM
"We could use the help."
GRANT(sighing)
"Fine."
LEVINE(smiling)
"Great. I'd like to call my girlfriend and see if she'd like to join us. She's a Biologist. I believe that she'll be of some help to you."
WU
"She just might."
Levine smiles and walks off taking his phone out to dial a number. Everyone follows him toward the helicopter and their destiny.
