Warpath: Jurassic Park 4 Movie Script Part 14

CUT TO:
EX: PARK-DAWN
Camera shows Jack Thorne sitting in the tree silently listening to sounds being made around him. It is very silent, to silent. It's very creepy. Camera switches to Alan Grant who is just now starting to stir. He yawns and stretches his arms as he trys to awaken. Thorne looks over to him and smiles.
THORNE
"Good morning, Dr. Grant."
GRANT(still yawns)
"Good morning. Anything happen last night?"
THORNE
"Screaming."
GRANT(more awake now)
"Screaming?"
THORNE(pointing)
"It was coming from that direction up ahead. I could hear a man scream."
GRANT
"More then likely one of Dodgson's people, or Dodgson himself."
THORNE(smiling)
"We could only hope it was Dodgson."
Grant laughs and then looks over to Robert and Matt still asleep in the tree. They seem very calm and peaceful.
GRANT
"Those poor kids shouldn't be here."
THORNE
"Why's that?"
GRANT
"There have been kids forced into this same situation before. John Hammond's grandchildren, Lex and Tim, were stuck on this island with him lost in the park for at least twelve hours. That was ten years ago. I can remember everything like it was yesterday. Then, four years after that, Ian was forced into going to Site B and his daughter Kelly ended up there. And the last little expedition involved me going to Site B four years after that. A kid named Eric Kirby had to live on that island for eight weeks by himself. That was amazing as to how he'd done that. Now there are two more kids that are going through the same experiences. I fear their futures after this is all over."
THORNE
"Well maybe everything will end up ok. Right now though, we need to start out and find our way back to the other vehicle. The boat is coming today to pick us up. We've got to wake these people up."
CUT TO:
DODGSON AND KING
Camera shows the two remaining Biosyn team members walking up to the large fence.
KING
"How are we supposed to get by the fence?"
Dodgson looks at front gate just around the other side of the area. The two men run over to the gate and try to open the door with no success.
DODGSON
"We could climb it."
KING
"Are you nuts? I'm not climbing that thing!"
DODGSON
"Alright then, maybe we can crawl under that hole over there."
Dodgson points to a hole in the fence.
DODGSON(continued)
"Come on."
The two men go over to the hole and slowly crawl through it. The two men then go up to the small complex and go inside closing the door behind them.
CUT TO:
GRANT AND COMPANY
Camera shows the team walking through the park. They then come apon the same compound that Dodgson and King had just went in. They all stand in awe at the large fence structure.
GRANT
"Henry, what do you think it is?"
WU(staring at structure confused)
"I'm not really sure. This building doesn't look at all familiar to me."
THORNE
"Do you think it could possibly be an underground complex? It looks pretty small for something like a maintance shed."
WU
"Yes, it does."
LEVINE
"Should we have a look around?"
MALCOLM
"I'd be curious."
KATHY
"How do we get in there though? It looks like the fence is still electrified."
WU
"That's because it is. This is one of the many things on this island that still work."
ROBERT(from other side of the gate standing with Matt)
"Hey Guys! I think you might want to see this."
CUT TO:
OTHER SIDE OF GATE
The people are standing infront of the gate enterance. Thorne leans down to see foot and hand prints in the dirt.
THORNE
"Looks like we're not the only people here."
GRANT
"Dodgson?"
THORNE
"Most likely."
WU
"Then we should see what they're up to."
Wu looks over to the side of the door to see a key card slot. He pulls his card out and uses it by swiping the slot. A red light blinks and a buzzing noice is heard. Then the red light blinks again and another buzzing noice.
WU
"Damn!"
LEVINE
"Damn? Damn's not good."
KATHY
"What's wrong?"
WU
"My card won't work here. I guess the geneticists weren't meant to ever be here."
MATT
"Wait! I've got an idea! Give me the card."
Wu hands the boy the card with a very confused face. Matt then craws under the fence the same way Dodgson and King did. He stands and looks at the slot on the other side of the door. Matt then slides the card again. Once again the red blinking light and the buzzing sound is heard. Then a green light shines with a binging sound now. The gate to the fence then opens allowing the team to step inside.
WU
"Maybe I was wrong."
GRANT
"Come on! Maybe this building, if it goes underground, leads back to the Visitors Center. Let's move!"
The people walk up to the door enterance and once again Wu slids his card. The computer allows the team to pass through and they all go inside to the darkened building beyond.
CUT TO:
IN: UNDERWATER COMPLEX-DAY
The team starts down a spiral staircase that is right infront of them as they'd entered the complex. The building is very dark and mysterious. When the people finally reach the bottom, they come apon several offices. The rooms are small with very little furniture as well.
Kathy then notices something moving around in one of the rooms. Camera then focuses on what it is and realizes that it's Dodgson and one of his people. The door to the room is already open so she walks in and taps Dodgson on the shoulder. He turns around and she PUNCHES him! Dodgson falls to the ground. King turns around to see Kathy and the rest of the team right infront of him. Dodgson starts to get back up iritated and inraged.
GRANT
"Where's your other people?"
KING
"They're dead. Both of them were killed."
MALCOLM
"Well ah, isn't that a side step for ya."
DODGSON
"Shut up! I'm not taking any of this from you!"
WU
"I think it's about time that you realized that you're not going to accomplish anything on this island. You must join us now so we can get off this island."
DODGSON(pulling out a flashlight)
"FINE! I have a little of what I came for! I'll just come back with another team later. I do own this island now anyway."
GRANT
"Fine. Let's get moving. We may find another way out of this place that'll lead us closer to the Visitor's Center."
Everyone leaves the office and starts off going furter into the complex. As they come around a bend in the long dark tunnel they're suddenly startled to see water holding areas like at Sea World in the bottom compartment. The water seems very murky and there's isn't much life with the exception a an occasional fish or two swimming around. The people look in awe at the water.
GRANT
"What in the world is this place for?"
WU
"Hell if I know. We are pretty close to where the Tyrannosaur Paddock used to be so this may be the lake that was in the paddock. The people could probably view the rex swimming around in it."
MATT
"Oh that would've been so cool!"
MALCOLM
"As long as he didn't try to crash into the glass to get at the lookers beyond."
LEVINE
"You saying that Rexy might not like people watching him while he swims."
MALCOLM
"Not unless he plans to be in he Olympics."
This gets a laugh out of the two kids. Suddenly from out of no where a dark luminous shape appears in the water looking right at the people. A animal is huge with what looks like a long neck attached to it's fined body.
GRANT
"Pleisosaurus!"
THORNE
"A What?"
GRANT
"It's a marine reptile from the late cretacious. My god! People still believe that this animal still exists as the Loch Ness Monster. This is unbelievable!"
MALCOLM(smiling)
"I could say something so wonderful to you right now Alan. However you already know what I'm talking about."
GRANT
"Henry, how is it that you didn't know about this place?"
WU
"I haven't always worked at this island, Dr. Grant. I was on Sorna for a lot longer then you think."
ROBERT
"Ah, guys!"
GRANT
"Then how come the other geneticists never told you about this place?"
ROBERT
"Guys!"
WU
"I'm guessing it's because they forgot about it. This place looks to have been abandoned long before anything else on the island was."
ROBERT & MATT
"GUYS! LOOK OUT!"
Everyone turns around to see the Pleisosaur that had been looking at them before was now being chases by a much larger animal that had a crocadilian head and four large fins.
GRANT
"Holy shit! That's a Lipleurodon!"
THORNE
"Why the hell did Hammond's people make these animals?"
WU
"That's a question I'd rather not answer while we're standing right under these two monsters."
KATHY
"I'm with Dr. Wu on this one."
LEVINE
"That goes double for me."
Camera focuses on Dodgson and King
KING
"I hope to God you don't change your mind about wanting those things."
DODGSON
"Oh don't worry. I didn't want my own Sea World anyway."
GRANT
"Come on people! Let's move!"
The team of nine continue moving through the complex and away from the animals.
The camera focuses on the Pleisosaur running through the water, trying to get away from the larger Lipleurodon. Suddenly the Lipleurodon speeds up and snatches the Pleisosaur in it's mouth and swallows. the animal then leaves the area and make into the murky water beyond.
CUT TO:
GRANT AND COMPANY
The team comes up to a large platform like structure with a metal staircase going up to it. The team climbs the staircase and starts off on it. They look around seeing all of tops of the water tanks and several mechines that work and keep the water in perfect condition.
WU
"The machines in this building still work. That's why the animals still live."
DODGSON
"Can we stop with the talking get out of here? This place creeps me out."
MALCOLM(smiling)
"You get creeped out? I didn't think the bad guys ever got creeped out."
DODGSON
"There's more about us that you seem to not know."
MALCOLM
"I know enough to understand that you're an idiot for coming here in the first place. You have no idea how much danger you put yourself and your team in. Two of your men are dead now because of that."
Suddenly as the people were walking on the catwalk and loud splash was heard as everyone hears Howard King screaming. Everyone turns around to see horribly that he's being dragged over the catwalk and into the water by a humongous shark!
DODGSON
"Howard! NO!!!!"
GRANT
"Hold him back Richard."
Levine grabs hold of Dodgson and holds him while they look in terror at what just happened.
THORNE
"That was the biggest shark I've ever seen."
GRANT
"That's because it's not a shark. It's a Meglanodon."
WU
"Isn't that the same difference?"
GRANT
"Well a shark from our time looks nothing like that and acts nothing like that so it's an insult to the smart sharks that do live in our time period."
DODGSON(irritated and almost crying)
"Well aren't you damn Jaws supporter! That damn thing just killed my best friend!"
KATHY
"And it's going to kill us also if we don't get out of here now!"
Kathy and the kids lead the way as the rest of the team follows. They continue running deeper into the complex trying to get away from the Meglanodon. They make it to another stairwell going down back onto the ground level. Everyone starts down that, but not without the Meg seeing them. They continue to run down the corridoor when they start to hear the Meg trying to break it's way through the glass. The people continue to run as fast as they can go, when they suddenly hear glass break. The Meg is lose! Everyone starts going faster as they begin to see water rushing toward them. They can almost feel the Meg pushing the water onward toward them.
The people begin to lose hope when suddenly they see a stair well going up toward a door. They start up the stair well with Kathy still in the lead. She makes it to the door only to realize the horror that it's locked! Thorne, Kathy, and Grant start ramming at the door trying to get it to open with the water still coming at them very fast with the Meg not far behind.
Suddenly Wu sees a key card slot. He pulls out his card key only to drop it on the ground. The water is now at the stairs. He reaches down and picks the card back up. Wu slids the card in the slot and the door blasts open, sending Kathy, Thorne, and Grant sailing through. Everyone else runs out of the building and into sun light. The water then bursts through the door and shortly afterwards, the Meglanodon which is floping around trying to get to water. The animal is unsucessful and just flops around trying to bite at the humans.
Then to the humans horror they hear the roar of a Tyrannosaur. The tyrant lizard is shown walking toward the people and Meg. The people start to back away.
GRANT
"HE's not after us."
LEVINE
"Then what is he after?"
GRANT(nodding toward the Meg)
"He's going for the kill. He'll wait till the animal has finally dried up and then he'll feast."
ROBERT
"All a part of the great circle of life."
MATT
"You've watched The Lion King to much."
ROBERT(smiling)
"So have you nucklehead."
WU
"Do you guys realize where we are?"
THORNE
"Yes, we're back near the Visitor's Center."
GRANT
"We need to call for our boat. We'll have to get back to the control room and-"
WU
"Um, don't you remember what happened last time? The computers wouldn't work. We have to have the computers working to be able to make a call."
DODGSON
"I know how to work them. I know what's wrong. I can get them working as long as we get to the Control Room safely. There's only one problem."
MALCOLM
"What's that?"
DODGSON
"There are Dilophosaurs crawling all over that building."
GRANT
"We know that already. We met up with one."
LEVINE
"Yeah, and I have the back pain to prove it."
DODGSON
"You're not understanding. There is a nest in that building and I took their eggs."
GRANT
"Then give them their eggs back!"
DODGSON
"King had the eggs when he was killed!"
Suddenly in an outrage, Dodgson onshoulders his backpack and drags out the black box and smashes it on the ground. He then starts stomping the mechinary in a rage of chaos. Thorne goes over and punches Dodgson!
THORNE
"Get a hold of yourself!"
GRANT
"Damn! Now that you're with us those animals will accuse us of having the eggs too!"
DODGSON
"Well it's not my fault that stupid shark killed my best friend!"
LEVINE
"Alright! Shut up people! That's enough! Let's just get this over with and you guys can bicker with each other on the boat back to the mainland."
MALCOLM
"I'm going to ah, take the kids and go get the other jeep it's not far from here. Perhaps the three of us can fix it. You guys go ahead."
GRANT
"Watch out for that Spinosaurus and Suchomimus. You don't want to be out in the open with those things around."
Malcolm nodds and ushers the kids to go with him. Grant and company start off toward the Visitor Center.
