Warpath: Jurassic Park 4 Movie Script Part 13

CUT TO:
EX: DODGSON'S JEEP-NIGHT
Camera shows several stegosaurs crossing the path where Dodgson's jeep is. The animals are huge and walking very slowly.
CUT TO:
IN: DODGSON'S JEEP-NIGHT
The three men are sitting in the jeep. Ed James is sitting at the wheel feeling very iritated. Lewis Dodgson sits in the jeep smiling at the animals. King sits in the back with his mouth wide, taking in what he's seeing.
KING(amazed)
"Wow! These used to be my favorite dinosaurs! They are so beautiful!"
JAMES(annoyed)
"When are these animals going to get by! I'm going to honk the damn horn!"
DODGSON
"NO! You'll startly them you bloody fool! Don't worry about the animals. Once they get by us, we'll follow them to their nest and take their eggs!"
JAMES
"I hope this works out. I mean these animals can be vicious when it comes to going near their nesting grounds. Don't you remember Ian Malcolm's book specifically telling about his wifes little accident with them on Sorna?"
DODGSON(laughing)
"Dr. Malcolm? You actually believe that cynical bastard? He's just a fool that believes that chaotic systems can't be tampered with and all of that other bull crap! He probably doesn't even know what it is that he's preaching!"
KING(messing around with the GPS and looking at a map)
"Sir, from the way you've got our route going there are a few areas with nests that aren't going to bother with. It's in the center region."
DODGSON
"Oh that's an area that we'd have to go on foot to get to and the animals there don't really interest me all that much."
KING
"What is there if I may ask?"
DODGSON
"A Sea World type complex for the underwater creatures."
KING(shocked)
"You're not serious! InGen actually created those types of monsters!"
DODGSON
"They're not monsters Howard! They're animals! There are three species of aquatic animals in that complex. I'm not sure what they are cause I really didn't care."
JAMES(sighing with relief)
"The final animal is coming across the road. I'll start following from a far distance behind the-"
James stops and stares forward in shock at what he sees before him. Dodgson and King notice and do the same.
Camera pans to show several Maiasaurs looking right at them.
JAMES
"SHIT!"
KING
"What are they doing?"
JAMES
"THEY'VE CAME FOR THEIR DAMN EGGS YOU IDIOT!"
DODGSON
"Back up in the other direction! Go!"
James starts backing the jeep up as fast as he can go. He then turns the jeep around as the Maiasaurs start running after the retreating jeep. The jeep continues to go very fast through the large clearing when from out of no where a Pachycepalosaur rams it's head right into the side of the vehicle sending it sailing over it's side as it starts to roll down the clearing with the three men screaming the whole way.
The jeep finally stops rolling, and the men start moving around quickly.
DODGSON
"Howard! Get the egg bag! I've got the box! Come on people! Move!"
Dodgson turns to see the Maiasaurs rampaging toward the vehicle as well as the lone Pachy. DODGSON climbs out of the jeep with the box in hand, followed by KING slinging a backpak over his shoulder, and JAMES is last to climb out. The three men begin to run in the other direction away from the rampaging animals.
ED JAMES ends up going in a different direction then Dodgson and King becauase of his lack of attention as he runs farther into the clearing.
The camera pans watching JAMES' every move as he continues moving checking behind his back constantly to see if anything is following him. Suddenly he stops dead in his tracks when he turns back around to see a six foot creature with sharp teeth and cheeta like strips going down its brown skin. The animal is definetely a VELOCIRAPTOR. The animal snarles at James and he screams as the raptor pounces on James.
CUT TO:
DODGSON AND KING
Dodgson and King hear the sounds of James' screams and stop running. They listen to the screams, and suddenly they both hear the sounds of hissing.
DODGSON
"Shit! We have to continue going!"
KING
"What about Ed?"
DODGSON
"Forget Ed! He's dead!"
The two men continue running through the jungle as fast as they can go going deeper and deeper into the park. Finally they come to a large fence like structure with a very small building beyond that. The fence seemed to be ten feet tall, and the building looked as if it went downward below into the bottom of the island.
DODGSON
"This is a strange complex. I wonder what it was for?"
The two men then hear a sound in the distance that appears very close.
KING
"I think that we can figure this out tomarrow when the sun's up. Maybe there's a radio in there or something, but I wouldn't go in there untill morning when we can see."
DODGSON(sighing)
"Fine."
The two men climb a nearby tree and begin looking out at the island around them. Dodgson then notices a large herd of TRICERATOPS browsing around now over the events seen earlier.
DODGSON(smiling)
"Triceratops! Remind me that we must get their eggs tomarrow."
KING(sighing)
"I can't believe that you're still trying to get eggs! This mission has failed! We've lost our jeep and two men!"
DODGSON(iritated)
"What's in that bag on your back?"
KING(confused)
"Well...ah..."
DODGSON(angered)
"Those are the damn eggs! We still have the eggs! We have five species and could use another and Triceratops would be a great addition for children! Once we've got those animals and explored what is in that building we'll be ready to go for the boat and get out of here! Don't worry. We'll be out of here by noon tomarrow."
KING
"From what's happened so far, I'm afraid that that won't even happen."
DODGSON(sighing)
"Just shut up old friend, and get some sleep."
King listens and doesn't say anything else. He just sits there for a few minutes sighing and fearing the fact that neither he or his best friend were going to get of Isla Nublar alive.
