    By Vito Hardy

    Chapter 9: The Visitor Center

Grant was sitting at the tables with Dodgson in the Visitor Center Cafeteria. "Did you find them," Grant asked the pathetic man sitting across from him.

    "No," Dodgson yelled.

"Well, then why are you here," Grant asked.

"This is strictly confidential," Dodgson replied.

"Not anymore Lewis, you already have law suits on your hands," Grant implied. "You shouldn't have came here. This place is forbidden to everyone. You should know that!"

"I had the idea to go to this island and document the dinosaurs so we could-" Dodgson was cut off.

"Could do what," Grant asked angerily.

"So we could know the behaviors of them and we could easily know how to
handle the animals when we get the embryos," Dodgson finished.

"Really," Grant asked amused. "Then why were there dinosaur eggs in the jeep that we were in?"

"Just stay out of this," Dodgson replied.

Thorne then came through the door with Wu following behind.

"So this is the famous Henry Wu," Dodgson said smiling. "I've read most of your books the ones on Genetics that is. I'm a Geneticist myself."

"Great to hear," Wu replied rolling his eyes.

Dodgson could tell the hatred that existed between Wu and him. There was something there, but Dodgson wasn't sure of it. He wondered if Wu knew that he was the one that hired Nedry to take the embryos off the island. Dodgson shock the thought away.

Then Levine came in with Malcolm. He pulled a chair over to the table. "Anyone know where Kathy is?"

"She's supposed to be here," Grant replied. "Damn, she's lost in the park. Lewis?

Dodgson looked up at Grant with a face of disbelief.

"Do you have any maps that might help us in finding Kathy," Grant asked calmly.

"Yes," Dodgson replied. "But you are not going to stop this project from happening."

"It looks like I already have," Grant implied.

"I think we better get to the garage and get some other vehicles," Malcolm said.

"What's wrong with Biosyn's," Thorne asked.

"There isn't enough room for everyone in them," Grant replied. "We were all packed like sardines in those things."

"Well then, where is the garage," Thorne asked.

Malcolm went through one of Biosyn's suitcases and found a map. "It's right about here." He pointed at the map on a small area behind the Visitor Center. "A mile away from us."

"Shouldn't be that long of a walk," Thorne implied.

"I don't know about you, Dr. Thorne, but I'm taking my group and I'm going to get me some dinosaur eggs," Dodgson said happily.

"Good we don't care about your group anymore," Thorne replied.

"Hey, hey, let's not think like this," Grant said trying to calm everyone done. "I'm here to get these people out of here. Now let's not do anything drastic."

Ed James,George Baselton, and Howard King entered the building with Bob Morris, Carlos Lopez, Roman Sawyers, and Manuel Cross following behind.

"Drastic, ha, drastic is my middle name," James said.

"Who the heck is this guy," Thorne said discusted.

"Ah, Dr. Malcolm, Dr. Grant; and rest; this is Ed James, he's Biosyn's hired mercenary," Dodgson replied smiling as he introduced the man.

"Oh, yeah, pleasure to meet you," Thorne replied. "So, um, your also in charge of this crack pot situation, huh."

"You looking for a problem, sir," James asked iritated.

"I don't need to," Thorne said smiling. "You already have one!"

James jumped at Thorne and tried to punch him, but Malcolm steped in and stopped it.

"Guys, are you nuts," Malcolm asked. "This is getting us no where! Now, I don't know about you Biosyn people, but Alan is right; ah, we need to stick
together and get out of here."

"Yeah your right we've seen enough of these creatures any way," James replied nodding.

"Are you crazy, this is going to make you rich beyond your wildest dreams," Dodgson said not believing that the one person that he thought he could trust had just betrayed him.

"When the all great Chaotician talks you must listen," James replied. "He knows what he's talking about. You apparently don't."

Malcolm smiled. This man even though he was on the wrong team was a smart person.

"I don't think any one is in the mood to die," Thorne said.

"Fine, then," Dodgson replied. "I will take the eggs alone. If any of you want to be rich then follow me. The rest of you can go to hell!"

"You first Dr. Dodgson," James replied.

Dodgson got up out of his chair and went out of the door with Morris, Carlos, Manuel, and Ramon. Thorne got up and went over to Malcolm. "The storm is coming!"

    "What storm," Malcolm asked confused.

"This storm," Thorne replied. He pulls back a lap top computer, and on it the screen showed a hurricane moving toward the island.
