PROLOGUE: THE SMELL OF DEATH
Dr. Alice Dillon stood before the destroyed city streets of Raccoon City. There were cars turned on their sides, street signs half ripped out of the ground, and fires in several areas around her.
She stood 6'2 wearing a white lab coat with only a small strip type thing on her body. In her hands was a rifle that she had just taken out of a cop car. She couldn't fully comprehend what was going on. How had the city streets got like this? Where were all of the people? She had been in a small lab in the Raccoon City Regional Hospital for obviously a long time having test after test performed on her while she was out cold, not knowing what was going on.
Alice Dillon had worked at the Umbrella Corporation for ten long years and was a very reliable member to the company as well, untill they had became greedy and evil. They created monsterous viruses like the T-Virus that created the half dead people that she called Zombies. It also created something very ugly looking that she'd saw only days before.
The poor woman had recently been in the hive of the Umbrella Corporation's Laboratories, near the mansion. The Mansion. That was the last place she remembered being. She was there with Matt, and then all of a sudden she'd--They'd taken him away! Poor Matt had been taken away from Alice and she hadn't seen him since. What had happened to him? Where had those people in white taken him?
All of these questions were making her feel disoriented. She could barely stand thinking about all this. So Alice started moving away from where she'd got the rifle.
As she moved through the ruins of the city she started to hear strange noices coming from behind her. They seemed very strange and almost like people in pain. She turned around and to her shock there were about twenty zombies coming right toward her! They were moving very slowly, but were inching closer to her by the minute.
She screamed and started running away from the area as fast as she could go. Her adrenaline was pumping loudly as she moved faster and faster trying to get through all of the overturned cars and debri.
Then from some allies near her several more of the living dead came crashing out at her moaning for the chance to feast on fresh blood. Alice shot at several of the zombies and continued onward afterward.
The former Umbrella employee couldn't understand what was unfolding around her. How had the virus gotten out of the hive? There was another question that was now pertruding her mind. She couldn't handle all of the pressure.
Alice Dillon hated action. She always did and always will. She was a scientist who studied the habbits and lives of animals and humans. Now there she was with a rifle in her hand shooting at the living dead.
The luck at staying away from the zombies that she had obtained so far ran out when she suddenly saw them coming at her from all directions. the zombies were surrounding her and getting closer by the second. They started to go for the kill when suddenly a ladder dropped near Alice! It was from a helicopter that was right above her. There were people up there yelling for her to climb. She did. Alice began to climb the ladder with the zombie now pulling on her legs trying to bring her back down the earth, but she kicked at them with her bare feet making them move back.
She continued to climb as the helicopter started to move away from the area. She finally reached the interior of the choper itself and colapsed there.
"It'll be ok," One of the men said. She looked at him. He seemed to be wearing the same clothing that the S.T.A.R.S. team that she was with in the hive were wearing.
"Are you with the S.T.A.R.S.," Alice asked barely able to get the words out.
"Yes mame," the boy said. "I'm Chris Redfield. Don't worry. You're going to be alright."
Alice hoped that he was right and she then feel asleep from out of pure tiredness and went away into her dreams, hoping that they wouldn't be scary.
