Jurassic Park 3 The Novel Chapter 1
    By Veloso

    Chapter 1

"Make sure to get us as close as you can! I'll pay you something extra!" Ben Hildebran shouted to Enrique.
"Don't worry my friend, I just don't want them to eat you!"
Ben and Eric laughed. Eric's mom had set up this trip for her fiance and him to see the dinosaurs of Isla Sorna. Enrique and the boat's driver were taking them into Isla Sorna. They entered the island and continued down a river.
"One...two...three!" Ben pulled the cord and he and Eric flew upward. The parasail opened up and the rope kept them from sailing away.
Eric yelled in joy and thrill. He loved dinosaurs. Now he could see them for real!
Enrique noticed some fog and told the driver to slow down.
Ben and Eric looked down at Enrique. A patch of fog floated over the boat. There was a splash and a few screams. They looked again to see Enrique swimming to the shore. They felt a few tugs, then nothing. The fog cleared and the deck was splattered with blood. The driver wasn't there.
Ben looked just in time to see a five foot high fin lower into the river.
Enrique shouted, "Let go of the rope!"
Eric looked ahead and yelled. A group of rocks lay in the boat's path. Ben unclipped the line and the parasailers headed down to the jungle floor.

Ben and Eric landed in a tree. Eric's rope snapped and he tumbled downward.
Ben moaned his leg was stuck and broken. He had no choice but to remain in the tree.
    Eric shouted, "Ben!"
Ben replied, "Don't yell! Run and find Enrique. I'll be fine."
Eric ran as far as he could. He suddenly collapsed to the ground. There was a breathing sound over his head. He looked up to see a compy on a log.
Eric shouted and it ran. he got up and heard a noise. Something was coming. A figure burst through the bushes. It was Enrique.
Enrique asked, "Where in Mr. Hildebran?"
    "His leg's broke. He's in a tree."
"Well we'd better go see him.
Eric found his way back to the parasail. There was no sign of Ben.
Enrique pointed at a footprint, "Tyrannosaur."
Eric replied, "No, it's too small."
Enrique asked, "Could it be juvenile."
    Eric said, "Maybe."
There was a heavy breathing. A large dinosaur looked at them from about fifty yards away. Eric reconized it from one of his old books. It was a Deltadromeus, a small Tyrannosaur. The thing charged them. Eric and Enrique reached a shed that lead underground. It was their last hope.

After Grant finished visiting with Ellie Delger he sat in his car and started the engine.
"You know, if you need any help you can ask me," Ellie said.
"Grant replied, "Thank you Ellie, but I don't think even you can help us out."

Nash and Cooper finished spray painting an old beat up jet. They ran back. Cooper smiled. 'Just like a dinosaur he thought'. Nash started explaining the gun they were about to test.
Huford Udesky walked outside, speaking into a satellite phone, "No Mr. Kirby I haven't worked with these men before but they come highly recommended. Nothing to worry about sir."
Parker and James came running out from the plane. James spoke, "Looks good."
Udesky smiled and turned to see Nash blow the test plane into a million peices. Each of them smiled.

Dr. Grant finished his speech to the university, "So, if raptor had the ability to comminicate this would have been a great advantage. If they hadn't been killed off they, rather than humans, may have become the dominent species of this planet. This excites us as palentologists and we look for you support. Thank you." Grant wiped some sweat out of his face, "Does anyone have a question?"
The entire audience raised their hands.
Grant asked, "Does anyone have a question not related to Jurassic Park or the incident in San Diego?"
Every hand went down but one.
    Grant said, "Yes?"
A boy stood, "Isn't palentolgy itself in danger of extinction? Once scientists get control of Site B, they'll just look for themselves. And you would too, wouldn't you."
Grant frowned, "Ingen's creations are merely theme park monsters. Real dinosaurs lived sixty-five million years ago. And no force on Heaven or Earth could get me back there again."
