The Punisher
Frank stands ontop of a roof attempting to judge the distance. He gives up, and pulls out a pair of range finders from his pack. 38 yards, tough shot, but I can get it.
He unstraps his sleek black bow, knocks an arrow onto the string and takes aim at the building on the far side of the street. He double checks that the arrow he knocked had a zip line on it, and fires. He watches as the arrow archs high into the air, and takes impacts three feet above a window.
"Perfect" he wispers to nobody. He pulls out a harness and ties it around his waist, and loops the long end around the line. He uneasily looks over the edge of the 15 story buidling. I've looked down the barrel of death hundreds of times in my life, and have yet to master the fear of heights.
He bends down and picks up his equipment pack and slings it around one sholder. He takes one deep breath, and with all of his strength, he pushes off the edge of the building and speedily goes down the zipline. He pulls up his feet to crash through the window. Don't forget to let go of the rope. His spiked boots shatter the window to pieces making an easy entrance for him. He lets go of the rope while his legs just get inside the window, and almost drops his bag. Ohh precious I couldn't let you go. He pulls them up and turns to be greeted by a ripped 6'8 black man. The man he recognizes, Henry the giant is what his employers call him. He also recognizes the police baton he holds firmly in his left hand.
"Mr. Bruno doesn't like guest dropping in" his deep voice booms.
He takes one step forward, yet Frank doesn't move. Frank runs possible outcomes through his mind. None satisfy his health too well. By the time I reach for my Colt he's within pounding range, I doubt I can get one, maybe two rounds off before I have a broken nose.
The huge man takes one more step, and Frank reacts. He runs to the bookcase to his left and feels the air from the baton nearly missing his skull. He goes down the aisle, pistol out and ready when he realizes his mistake. The bookcase begins to rock back and forth. He raises his pistol and begins to shoot in random places. He hears a slight grunt and the bookcase falls towards him. He dives to the end of the shelf and tries to escape the bookcase. He doesn't. He lands on the back of his knee and sends pain as he tries to pull himself out.
He looks for Henry and only sees a few dots of blood from where he was odviously standing. He hears the wooden shelf ontop of him creek and feels alot more weight force onto his body. Only now does he realize his pistol is on the ground just out of his reach. He struggles for it but fails. Henry grabs Frank by the back of his head and slams him into the floor. He feels blood trickle from his mouth and spits it onto the floor. Henry gets off the shelf and picks up his pistol.
'Ah, a Colt .45, with odvious modifications, a good gun, too bad you wont be using it again." He takes the clip out and chucks it out the window. He throws the pistol over with Frank's bag of odvious weapons. He walks over to the shelf and lifts it up. He quickly steps on Frank's hand which he knows is going for a second weapon. He pushes the shelf onto the left side of Frank and picks him up. "So, you're the big bad Punisher with the Skull on the shirt? Not so big and bad now are we?" He says as he reaches for Frank's other pistol and tosses it aside. "You disgust me" he roars, spits in his face and throws him under the broken window.
Frank still having a pounding pain in his skull scrambles to get up but his knees go out from under him. He looks at his bag and sees his pistol ontop of it. He reaches it and points it at Henry, but Henry kicks him in the side. Definitly breaking something.
"I will enjoy ending your reign of terror on my friends!" yells Henry raising the baton high above his head ready to strike down. Blood still coming from his wound on his side.
"No" calmly says Frank as he raises the gun.
"I emptied it idiot" laughs Henry.
"Forgot the round in the chamber"
There was a hard hit to Henry's head, then Henry never got up again.
