    TRIUMVIRATE (Teaser)
    By The Host

FADE IN a futuristic cityscape: roman columns reaching into the clouds; glass giants searing the sky; and a great pinnacle of steel towering above them all. WE MOVE SLOWLY FORWARD toward the great skyscraper; traffic moves silently around us; the city is teeming with life, and--

AN EXPLOSION rips the tower apart.

    FADE TO BLACK.

    WARNER BROTHERS LOGO appears.

    DAWSON (V.O.)
We are all forced to make decisions, Mr. Davies.

CUT TO a uniformed soldier, JACK DAVIES, dangling precariously above us from a catwalk inside a dark space; he is pounded by water that cascades down from his level. WE CRANE UP and over him, looking into the unfathomable depths below. Another soldier, HAWK MACY, braces himself against a railing on the catwalk and holds onto Jack.

    CLOSE-UP: HAWK

    HAWK MACY
I've got you, Jack; hold on!

REVERSE ANGLE as Jack begins to slip out of Macy's grip.

CUT TO the stolid ADMIRAL DAWSON, his grim features set.

    DAWSON
Not all are easy to make.

    FADE TO BLACK.

    THERE IS NO EVIL

CUT TO A FLEET of starfighters and capital ships zooming toward a red planet.

    DAWSON (V.O.)
    We have chosen--

CUT TO Dawson addressing a group of soldiers seated around a conference table.

    DAWSON (CONT'D)
    --to go to war.

    CUT TO BLACK

    THERE IS NO GOOD

CUT TO A SPACE STATION in the swirling stormy red chaos of the aforementioned planet's upper atmosphere. Hundreds of ships are engaged in furious battle with each other and with the station.

CUT TO A DARK OFFICE inside the station; the battle proceeds outside. A man in the shadows -- COMMANDER MUHOMMAD -- speaks quietly.

    MUHOMMAD
    Why do you attack us?

REVERSE ANGLE of Jack Davies standing at the other side of the office.

    DAVIES
    I don't know.

    FADE TO BLACK

    ONLY STRENGTH

CUT TO A SERIES OF SHOTS:

Fighters moving underwater toward a base of some sort as torpedoes stream by.

A formation of starfighters speeding through a wide, twisting tunnel.

Jack Davies almost falling off a ladder into darkness below.

Three soldiers running through what seems to be a futuristic shopping mall.

Davies and another soldier falling up an elevator shaft at perilous speed.

    DAWSNON (V.O.)
When it comes down to it. . .

    POWER

A man in a well-tailored suit stands majestically before a massivecrowd in a beautiful chamber.

A man in long black robes strides slowly across an expansive, empty office.

Fighters blast out of a cavern on the craggy surface of a mountainous planet as massive capital ships slowly move together in the background.

The lights of a city built within a yawning cavern twinkle around us.

Thousands of soldiers drop with parachutes upon a city below.

    DAWSNON (V.O.) (cont'd)
When it's a matter of life or death. . .

    GREED

Five soldiers are in a cramped chamber with a fast-rising water-level.

Jack Davies struggles to keep his head above the water.

General Dawson, leaning against a table, looks upon Davies, who is seated before him.

    DAWSNON (cont'd)
    What would you choose?

    REVERSE ANGLE as Davies considers.

    FADE TO BLACK.

    FEAR

CUT TO the handsome soldier ROBERT JOHNSON, visibly distraught, on the edge of tears; he holds a vial of some sort in his hand.

    JOHNSON
Are you afraid, Jack? Are you afraid?
