    Jurassic Park: Survivor, Chapter 14
    By The Crow

    Chapter 14

Billy and his driver eventually made it to the Immunity area, but found something else, the place had been trashed. Bits of egg shells were littered all over the place, the flags were torn to pieces, and the nests were trampled mounds of dirt.

“What the hell happened here?” exclaimed Billy.

“How am I supposed to know. That is weird, the contestants shouldn’t have found this area until we gave the directions…” stuttered Wes.

“I don’t think the contestants were here…” Billy, sound alarmed, walked over to a deep impression in the ground, next to a trampled nest. “OH SHIT!”

    “What?”

    “OH MY GOD!!!”

“What the fuck are you yelling for?”

    “THAT SON OF A BITCH!!!”

    “Who? What? Huh?”

“Mark Burnett lied to ALL OF US…”

“Why would he do that? What is he lying about?”

“Mark sent us all down here, you know, Survivor. But he had forgot to mention that we had a bigger problem than heat exhaustion, snake bites, or burns ---”

    “What is the problem?”

“There are dinosaurs on this island. Mark told ALL OF US, that this island was clear. He lied. And now we are in big trouble. Do you have a walkie-talkie or some sort of communicator? We need to get out of here. NOW.”

    “Hold on, let me check…”

Wes unzips his backpack and shuffles through the stuff he packed inside.

“Ah, found a GPS…wouldn’t that work?”

“Yes…can you send a signal out to SOMEWHERE. Like the coast guard? Or the Costa Rican government?”

    “I could…yes, I believe so…”

    “Then do it.”

As the group walked down the narrow dirt trail, they heard distant sounds. Prehistoric sounds, sounds you could only hear 65 million years ago. The shrills of the winged reptiles, the Pteranodons, could now be heard over miles. The shrieks of the Velociraptors, that had never been heard for over 60 million years, have suddenly made an impact with their communicating abilities, now heard by humans. The bellows from the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the haunting cries of the Brachiosaurs, and the grunts from the Triceratops, this would make you come to realize this islands’ inhabitants had never gone extinct, instead they have thrived here for over 65 million years. It is like there never was some “big impact in the earth”, or no “climate changes” had happened.

But they also had noticed that one of the sounds they heard was coming closer to them. Every 3 minutes, the sound would come closer. It also sounded like there was more than one. Like the group has been surrounded. Just then, an animal with long, curving claws, jumped out of the bush and knocked one of the group members down. It was Sam Tembo. The group watched as that long, curving claw dug deep into Sam’s back. Sam was screaming in pain, the group listening to every ear-aching cry. The group decided to climb up the nearest tree. Sam winced in pain at them, everything in slow-motion. Sam gave up hope.

The raptor turned Sam around, bit its mouth around his neck, and bit hard. The blood rushing out like a grape that had just been squished. Then more raptors ran out of hiding. They all ran up to the life-less corpse in front of them. They tore into the flesh like they haven’t eaten in years.

“Oh my god…” Ellie Neill said as she put cupped hand to her mouth, then turned around in disgust.

“John, how many do you see there?” whispered Nick.

“Let’s see…one, two, three, four, five, six. Looks like six are there.” John replied.

“Ah, there is the leader of the group. The one with the dominant red markings and feathers on its neck. He probably led the attack.” Nick said informally.

“Nick, don’t mind my asking, but how do you know this?” John said agitated.

“Let’s just say I studied from first-hand experience.” Nick smiled then winked.
