Wars of the Worlds in Chatsworth Part 1

Deep in space in an another galaxi, a alian race has been getting ready for an invasion. They been studing this one planet for thousands of years. They had the technolgy to form wormholes and pop up at other parts of the universe. There planet was dieing and they need to move on to the next planet. There next home is going to be earth.
I was having a time of my life. I am competing at a robot combat event in the city of Chatsworth. My next match is going to be in the finals in the LW class with my killer gas powered undercutter bot. I already beaten Rambyte, Rotato, VD4 and WhipedOut.
"Ok, I got the batteries all charged and I made sure the engine does not stall," sat TeamRetic.
"TeamRetic, are you ready, you will be up after 2 matches," says Don.
"Yes, I am ready to kick some spinner butt," says Team Retic. All the sudden, it got real cloudy. I was worry it might rain and we would have to stop the event. But a good thing it didn't rain. "Hey Don, look over there to the west, that is one weird cloud formation," says Team Retic. Then the wind started blowing, but it was blowing toward the storm. I notice that and told myself that this is not right. It surpose to blow away from the storm. Then lightning started coming out of the weird cloud formation and hit a couple of blocks away. We all got worry and went in the house as fast as possible. Some one told me that lighting does not hit more in one place, but I don't beleive that. The lightning storm got real bad and hit the same spot over 25 times. The the storm stoped and move on. We all went back outside to continued the event. The we notice something was not right, it smelled like magic smoke out here. All of out bots were fried and nothing worked. Then I notice my watch did worked. An another guy checked hie cell phone and it was not working. The one of the guys tried to start there car and nothing. Any thing that runned on electricity was fried. I was really pissed off all about this and I was in a crummy mood. I was pissed because it was the first time I made it to the finals and all the sudden, my $5,000 bot was fried. All the parts was fried. Then we started feeling a big earthquake and I got scared. I hate those stupid eathquakes. Can this day get any worst? TheN we heard a big boom and saw some trees and dirt flying in the air. This is weird, how on earth things be flying up in the air like it was being tossed. Then another bang and I saw something that was way out of place. Something big and scary.
