When TLW opened in Mexico in August '97, it was beaten at the box office by an unlikely competitor: the film 'Volcano'. The reason? A real volcano was waking up in the surrounding area at the time.

    Jurassic Park V: Mainland Crisis
    By SymbioteSpider

Alan Moore, a lean man in his late thirties stood inches away from a 3-foot thick sheet of glass. Beyond the glass was a rectangular room filled with dense fog. He checked the computer next to him to see how much radiation had to be released. He typed in a command and the chart went to an airel view in heat vision. The fog was a slight pink. But his attention was on the huge red object in the middle of the room. It slowly got bigger. The screen started to flash and he typed in another command. A chart appeared on the screen and displayed the amount of fog left. There was barely any.

He then turned back to the airel view. There was still some fog around the object. He glanced at the window, then back too the screen. He typed in a command and the objects dimensions papered. Its height was 15 feet, length was 35 feet, and its weight was 9 tons. The tyrannosaur bellowed and stumbled into the glass. The glass shuddered and then a small amount of electricity jumped up at the tyrannosaur. It jumped back in surprise. Its skin was a mix of green, red, and brown. "Very good work Moore." John said walking up towards him.

"Thanks." Moore said gazing at the beast. The rex walked back and bumped into the far wall. "It’s still disoriented." Moore said with a shrug.

"Will it die like the last several?" John asked. He was checking out the creature’s data.

"No. This is the first we made with out any sign of problems." Moore said. He pressed the intercom button and asked for a feeding crew. A door on the side opened with a hiss and a small hippopotamus walked out. Moore saw some scuffling feet dart from the hippo before the door closed. The hippo cowered by the wall as the rex stared at it. The creature cocked his massive head and then lunged. John turned away as a leg smacked against the glass. Blood sputtered every where. Moore was use to this. He has seen several of these, and different, creatures die. But this, this is the first to live. Moore sized up the rex and focused on its powerful neck.

"That is disgusting." John said. His face was pale and green. Moore noticed a substance on the corner of his mouth.

"You are pathetic." Moore said pressing a button. Suddenly a wall of steel came down over the glass. "Good night."

"Whatever." John said as he walked away. Moore turned back to the computer and heard one last roar from the rex. He went to the time icon and was surprised. The operation only took a total of fifteen minutes. He turned off the monitor and walked out of the room. He wanted to see Byrd.

"Hello Dr. Moore." Byrd said shaking Moore’s hand. "What is the problem?"

"Well there is nothing wrong with the animal if that is what you are wondering." Moore said following Byrd into his office.

"I know. John told me it is the first without problems. So when will you be able to do the rest?"

"When the other finish cloning the remaining embryos. This tyrannosaur is the first and hopefully not the last."

"A tyrannosaur? I thought we where doing smaller one first."

"No. If we did a smaller one, herbivore or carnivore, it can get out with out detection. Remember the compy?" Byrd asked.

"Yes I do. But that was not my doing. It snuck into the air vents and escaped back into the field."

"Well I heard some stories that people have seen this crater. And one of these stories was from Megan Vaughn." Moore looked up in surprise. "Besides that, it has been two weeks since we recovered the embryos. And we only have one."

"But this one is in it’s prime. It will never age. It is invincible!" Moore exclaimed. "Just imagine if we make more. Every zoo would want one."

"Your forgetting the point. We are not doing this for publicity. If you have forgotten, the EPA has no fucking clue we are doing this! If zoos start getting dinosaurs, then they will trace it back to us. Now the only person who knows about this, outside the company, is Megan Vaughn. Now that little bitch will never tell any one."

"Your right. Well I got more work to do." Moore said getting up and walking out of the room.

    2 weeks later

    "You are beautiful."

"Awe you are so sweat." Kristen Willmont said kissing her boyfriend, Justin Muldon. They where in Justin’s room. Justin’s mom has been gone for a couple of hours, and he thought this was the best opportunity. Justin started to fumble with Kristen’s pants. "What are you doing?" Kristen asked getting off of him.

"What? I was just... you know. You turn me on all the time. I just can’t sometime control my self." Justin said sitting up.

"Well sorry to disappoint you, but I’m a whore like your ex." Kristen said walking out.

"Bitch." He said under his breath. He looked at his clock and wondered what was taking his mom so long. He heard the front door slam and walked into the living room. He turned on the television and sat down. He flipped through the channels until he found the news. Damn, he thought, that Lisa Lopez is hot. She was talking about some big accident that happened by the BioSyn complex. He looked at the screen and some body bags, a turned over car, and, he lost all thought. He heard his brother’s car pull up and feet running towards the house.

"Moms-" Vinny looked at his younger brother. He was in tears. "How did you know?" Vinny asked walking over towards Justin.

"There" He said pointing to the TV. Lopez was standing I front of the car with the most damage. That was their mother’s ford pick up.

"No one knows what could have done this. Every one who might have witnessed it has been killed. Rob Byrd, the director of BioSyn company is puzzled by this bizarre events and gives out all of his sorrow towards the family with the loses. Here are the names of the casualties: Kevin Smith, Lila Muldon, Justin Puntz, and Dixie Normous. We-" Justin pressed the mute button on the remote. He walked towards the map on the refrigerator. He looked at the 6 neighborhoods, the plaza’s to the north, the air port, the forest, and the BioSyn property. He looked at the main road. In order to get to the plazas and BioSyn building, you needed to go through the forest. That gave him an idea.
