The Dingbats: Episode I - Rockin Oceania - Part III

INT. TORTURE CHAMBER - DAY
Mr. Camel and Carna stand in front of Malcolm who's tied to
a chair.
MR. CAMEL
I don't trust him. What about you
Carna?
CARNA
Malcolm's giving in way too easy.
MR. CAMEL
My thoughts exactly. Damn, we need
that information.
CARNA
What if we performed a
little...torture?
MR. CAMEL
Could work, anything in mind?
CARNA
I have these.
Carna grabs a pair of car battery chargers and snaps them open
and shut.
CARNA
I was thinking genital shocks would
work.
MR. CAMEL
I like your thinking!
INT. OUTSIDE TORTURE CHAMBER - DAY
Hunter sneaks around torture chamber holding gun up and aiming
at things about the place. He opens a door, runs through it
and points the gun around. He proceeds to make his way down
a hallway. Jump down some steps and run into another
building. He jumps through a doorway and holds the gun up to
Mr. Camel and Carna.
HUNTER
Alright mates! Freeze!
CARNA
OK.
MR. CAMEL
Hey, no need for the gun my friend.
HUNTER
I know, just stay over there.
Malcolm's coming with me.
AGENT MALCOLM
Wait a minute! I killed you!
HUNTER
Yeah, that's right you did...but
I'm back mate. Better then ever.
AGENT MALCOLM
How that happen?
HUNTER
I'm not really sure. Last thing I
remember is you shooting me, then
me popping into heaven, and god
laughing, when I woke I was getting stitched
up by a nurse a few X's strong on
the pantie size, savvy?
AGENT MALCOLM
Uh huh.
HUNTER
What don't believe me? Be sure to
ask him when you see him...as soon
as I take you back to the cafe to
kill you like I intended to.
AGENT MALCOLM
Whatever, just get me out of here.
HUNTER
Alright.
EXT. DR. GRAMM'S DRIVEWAY - EVENING
Dr. Gramm sits alone at his driveway. Mark comes out and
sits next to Gramm.
MARK
What's going on?
Dr. Gramm slowly shakes his head.
MARK
Yvonne huh?
DR. GRAMM
You have kids Mark?
MARK
Not the last time I checked.
DR. GRAMM
Me too...until about 30 minutes
ago.
MARK
What?
DR. GRAMM
Yvonne...
Gramm breaks down and begins to sob, he grabs onto Mark's
arm.
MARK
Hey, Dr. Gramm. Chris. Every
thing's fine.
DR. GRAMM
She lied to me. All this time.
MARK
What happened?
DR. GRAMM
I have two children Mark. She never
told me. And now...they're gone.
MARK
Gone?
DR. GRAMM
My grandfather stole them, stole my
money and has fled.
MARK
Holy shit.
DR. GRAMM
Yep.
MARK
This world is fucked up.
Mark and Gramm sit and think for a moment.
MARK
Where does Yvonne fall into this?
DR. GRAMM
She umm...she wants my help, to
find them.
MARK
Oh.
Gramm gets up and starts to walk away.
MARK
Where are ya going?
DR. GRAMM
I'm going to get my life back.
MARK
GRAMM! What are you going to do?
EXT. MONK'S NEIGHBORHOOD - EVENING
Gramm walks down road. Mark is about twenty feet behind standing
his ground.
DR. GRAMM
I'm going to win that money, find
my grandfather and kill-
Suddenly Mr. Camel and Carna run over Gramm. Gramm falls to the
ground dazed. Mr. Camel and Carna stop running and turn
back.
CARNA
Wait, Mr. Camel! You OK mister?
DR. GRAMM
Just dandy. Can you watch where
you're going?
CARNA
Oh sorry mister, we were just in a
hurry to get to Dan's Cafe where we
have to capture someone called
Malcolm before Hunter kills him.
MR. CAMEL
Carna! Zip it! We have to go!
DR. GRAMM
Wait a minute, Malcolm? Agent
Malcolm?
MR. CAMEL
Yeah, you know him?
DR. GRAMM
I'm looking for him myself, got a
settle a score.
MR. CAMEL
Then come on, we don't have long.
MARK
But what about the concert?
DR. GRAMM
Get the guys together, this ends
tonight!
EXT. MIAMI STREET -EVENING
Mr. Camel, Carna, and Dr. Gramm all run down the street towards
Dan's Cafe.
CARNA
My name's Carna, and this is Mr.
Camel. We're in charge of ABC.
DR. GRAMM
I'm Dr. Gramm. I own a medical
clinic and work at Dan's Cafe.
CARNA
You save people? How cool is that!
DR. GRAMM
Oh no, it's a clinic for people's
pet rocks.
CARNA
Excuse me?
DR. GRAMM
Pet rock clinic.
CARNA
Oh...I see. So what's your problem
with Malcolm?
DR. GRAMM
He's the only link I have to
finding my children.
CARNA
Bastard! He seems to be the only
link we have too. He's the only one
who knows where Mr. Grammond is-
MR. CAMEL
Carna! Shut up will ya! This isn't
public information.
CARNA
Sorry sir, only trying to make
friendly conversation.
DR. GRAMM
Wait a minute. Mr. Grammond? That's
my grandfather, dirtbag stole my
money and fled the country.
CARNA
Your grandfather? Don't know what
he's doing do you?
DR. GRAMM
I don't know. Always some evil
scheme or another.
EXT. OUT SIDE DAN'S CAFE - DAY
Hunter has a gun up to Agent Malcolm.
HUNTER
No, no, no. You were standing
closer to the road. Move just a little
bit more...that's good.
AGENT MALCOLM
Hey, looks like our friends are
back.
HUNTER
Now, I'm not falling for that
again.
DR. GRAMM
Hunter! WAIT!
HUNTER
Hey, Dr. Gramm! Wait for what?
Agent Malcolm grabs Hunter's gun and shoots Hunter in the head.
Hunter flies into the street.
AGENT MALCOLM
And stay dead this time.
DR. GRAMM
You won't get away with this
Malcolm.
AGENT MALCOLM
Sounds slightly cliché don't you
think?
DR. GRAMM
Sorta.
AGENT MALCOLM
Want to try again?
DR. GRAMM
You might get away with this
Malcolm. But the odds are in
AGENT MALCOLM
I'm the one holding the gun.
DR. GRAMM
You know I hadn't thought about
that.
MR. CAMEL
You can run all you want Malcolm.
But you can't escape us. ABC always
finds a way.
AGENT MALCOLM
Ah yes, you are correct. But not
for long, the Dingbats have grown
strong, and soon there will no
longer be an ABC, nor a earth
controlled by nations.
DR. GRAMM
Umm, suddenly you became real
creepy Malcolm.
AGENT MALCOLM
Things are over your head Gramm. I
suspect Yvonne told you about your
children. It's just the tip of the
iceberg.
DR. GRAMM
What are you talking about?
AGENT MALCOLM
You'll know soon enough...if you
have what it takes.
Yvonne runs out of Dan's Cafe and jumps onto Malcolm sending him
to the ground! The gun is flung every which way, a single
shot is fired! Malcolm kicks Yvonne off him and quickly runs
off into the alley.
DR. GRAMM
YVONNE!
Dr. Gramm runs up to Yvonne, she looks dazed. She comes back to
her senses.
YVONNE
Gramm...
DR. GRAMM
Are you alright?
YVONNE
Yeah, I'm fine. Just had the wind
knocked out of me. Are you alright?
DR. GRAMM
Malcolm...
Gramm runs into the alley after Malcolm. Hunter shakes his head
and stands up from the ground.
HUNTER
What did I miss?
Whiskers, Hunter's rat comes out of his pocket.
HUNTER
Oh hello, Whiskers.
FADE OUT:
INT. INSIDE DAN'S CAFE STAGE - NIGHT
Dan sits behind desk in front of the stage, Evinch sets himself
up on stage. Monk and Mark stand nearby.
MONK
Has anyone seen Dr. Gramm?
MARK
No, but he better arrive soon. I
don't think we can play without
him.
MONK
What if we have to?
MARK
Then we're screwed.
Yvonne walks up to Mark.
YVONNE
Those two guys, the bald one and
the smelly one. Said Malcolm's
involved in some global domination
scheme.
MARK
Gramm better be OK Yvonne, and you
better find a way to make things
right.
YVONNE
I...I know Mark. I'm going to. I
promise.
MARK
I want you to swear to me, on your
life. You'll stop messing up my
friends life. He's a good man, its
such a waste what you've done.
YVONNE
I'm going to make things right
Mark. I swear...I still care for
him.
MARK
NO. No Yvonne. Your going to make
things right, and your going to do
what is right.
YVONNE
(faint)
OK...
Suddenly Dr. Gramm appears standing at the front doors of Dan's
Cafe.
YVONNE
GRAMM!
Yvonne runs up to Gramm and hugs him, Dr. Gramm melts back into
reality, and realizes what she's doing. He slowly pushes her
away and walks up to the others. Mr. Camel and Carna come
over.
MR. CAMEL
Where's Malcolm?
DR. GRAMM
He got away.
Carna glances down at Dr. Gramm's bloody hands. The blood is dried
and smeared.
CARNA
Hurt yourself?
DR. GRAMM
...yeah.
MONK
Come on Gramm, your in the nick of
time, they're about to call us.
DR. GRAMM
Already? Where's the other bands?
MONK
No one knows. They never showed up.
CUT TO:
INT. BASEMENT - DAY
Dozens of bodies lay bloody on the floor and leaning up against
the wall. Ice Skates are jammed into their skulls. An
industrial elevator closes its gates and the masked murderer
rides the elevator away.
CUT TO:
INT. INSIDE DAN'S CAFE STAGE - NIGHT
Evinch and Sparks walks up to the group.
EVINCH
Good luck suckers.
SPARKS
Yeah, suckers.
The two walk away.
DR. GRAMM
Come on, lets do this.
Dr. Gramm and the band get on stage, they prepare quickly
and start to play, Dan bobs his head from side to side
clearly enjoying himself. The song ends and the crowd
cheers.
DAN
Alright! Alright settle down
everyone. Dr. Gramm that was great.
But now its the time we've all been
waiting for. It's time for everyone to
vote. Please, take your wrist bands
and drop them in the bucket of the
band who you wish to win. Please,
take your time, and form a nice
orderly line. Thank you.
Gramm makes his way back to Yvonne, Mr. Camel and Carna.
CARNA
WOW! Dr. Gramm that was amazing!
I've never been to a
DR. GRAMM
Thanks Carna. Lets just hope it was
enough.
YVONNE
You did amazing Gramm. I'm sure
you'll win.
MR. CAMEL
Something doesn't seem right.
CARNA
What do you mean?
Mr. Camel scans the heads of everyone in the Cafe.
MR. CAMEL
I don't know...keep your eyes open.
DAN
Alright everyone! Is that everyone?
This is last call!...alright...lets
count the votes.
YVONNE
Good luck guys.
DAN
If Dr. Gramm and Evinch would come
to the stage.
Dan goes backstage for a moment, and returns with a briefcase.
DAN
What I hold in my hand is a $29.99
briefcase. What it holds inside is
$100,000 special thanks to the
local drug lords in the area.
Please, everyone give them a round
of applause.
Crowd cheers, the drug lords smile and give out business cards.
DAN
Alright Martin, how many votes does
Evinch have?
MARTIN
Evinch has...67 votes.
Crowd cheers.
DAN
Here it is everyone, the pivotal
moment. The winner, or loser of
Rockin Oceania. How many votes does
Dr. Gramm have.
MARTIN
Dr. Gramm has...
AGENT MALCOLM
Not enough votes.
Agent Malcolm steps on stage with a gun up to Dan's head.
AGENT MALCOLM
But what the hell...how many
Martin? How many votes does
MARTIN
...61.
AGENT MALCOLM
Six too short, too bad.
EVINCH
What the hell are you doing
Malcolm?
AGENT MALCOLM
The money comes with me. So does
Dan.
MR. CAMEL
The first twenty million isn't
enough Malcolm?
AGENT MALCOLM
Some wars are more personal then
others Mr. Camel. Surly you can
understand.
Malcolm takes Dan backstage as a human sheild with the gun
to his head. Two gunshots cut the crowd into silence.
DR. GRAMM
We can get him out back, lets go.
MR. CAMEL
Right.
CUT TO:
EXT. ALLEY - NIGHT
Dr. Gramm and the gang run through the back alley and reach the
back of Dan's Cafe. Agent Malcolm is walking across the
courtyard to another building with a latter leading to it's
roof.
DR. GRAMM
MALCOLM!
Malcolm turns and grins. Gramm runs up and has his punch is blocked
by Malcolm. He tries again, and again but fails and is
thrown to the ground. Malcolm takes out his gun and aims it
at Dr. Gramm.
EVINCH
AGENT MALCOLM!
Evinch runs from the group full charge at Malcolm! Malcolm points
at Evinch and pulls the trigger! Evinch spins around and
falls to the ground.
AGENT MALCOLM
Your children are safe with us Dr.
Gramm. Don't come looking for us.
You'll only find death...Mr. Camel,
stop chasing dreams, and stop taking
others down the same path.
Agent Malcolm turns and climbs up the latter as Gramm crawls over
to Evinch, the others gather around.
EVINCH
Dr. Gramm, my enemy. Ironic you'd
be here in the end.
DR. GRAMM
I'm sorry Evinch. I never wanted it
to end like this.
EVINCH
I know. But don't let my death
cloud your future. You have to find
them, your children.
A helicopters rotors slowly grow near.
EVINCH
Took me till the very last thing I
ever do to finally beat you. It was
a good contest Dr. Gramm.
DR. GRAMM
Yeah, it was Evinch. You clearly
beat me, fair and square, how about
that!
EVINCH
Nahhh, not really. I had the others
killed this morning.
DR. GRAMM
Really?
EVINCH
Desperation till the end.
DR. GRAMM
You've been a great enemy Evinch.
Made me into the person I am today.
I can thank you for that.
EVINCH
That's sweet, but you know I don't
care.
DR. GRAMM
I know, just sounded good.
EVINCH
Yvonne. My love. I'm afraid your
not my type. Maybe in my next life.
Evinch slowly closes his eyes, his head falls back upon the ground,
and his last breath escapes his chest.
DR. GRAMM
Evinch? Evinch?
The helicopter hovers over the building, Malcolm gets in and looks
back upon them.
FADE OUT:
EXT. MONK'S NEIGHBORHOOD - DAY
Dr. Gramm, Monk, Mark, Rex, Mr. Camel, Carna, and Yvonne
walk down the street. With determined faces and a feeling
hope even with all that has happened.
DR. GRAMM
(voice over)
My name is Dr. Chris Gramm. This
was the start of a beautiful story.
One that life handed me when I was
least ready, but one I sit back and enjoy
every day.
FADE OUT:
EXT. IN HELICOPTER OVER OCEAN - DAY
Agent Malcolm wears a headset, he calls someone on a satellite
phone.
MR. GRAMMOND
(voice over)
Hello?
AGENT MALCOLM
Mr. Grammond, good hearing your
voice again.
MR. GRAMMOND
(voice over)
Hello Agent Malcolm.
AGENT MALCOLM
Everything is going according to
plan. Power has finally shifted
into our favor. The Dingbats will
not yield to such attempts to
destroy us.
MR. GRAMMOND
(voice over)
You did good Malcolm. But now it's
time to move into phase two. Now
that we have power we must use it
accordingly.
AGENT MALCOLM
I agree. The island construction is
already underway, shouldn't be long
now. Found the island from a
desperate seller.
MR. GRAMMOND
(voice over)
Oh yeah? Who?
AGENT MALCOLM
Can't remember his name. Short
Swedish fella. Name of the island
is Isla Nublar. This time nothing
will go wrong. This time our plans
our unstoppable.
MR. GRAMMOND
(voice over)
Wonderful news Malcolm. The world
will be ours, oh...and keep tabs on
my grandson. His role may still
prove crucial.
AGENT MALCOLM
Dr. Gramm will be taken care of.
The helicopter flies off into the sunset.
CUT TO:
EXT. MONK'S NEIGHBORHOOD - DAY
Everyone continues to walk down the road. Monk turns to
MONK
Oh hey, check out all the numbers I
got from babes at the concert.
Monk sports a dozen or so phone numbers.
DR. GRAMM
How the hell did you manage that?
You can never get a chick?
MONK
Oh poor Gramm, never having faith.
It's simple really.
Monk breaks out in song and dance, singing "The Power of Suggestion"
