"The Scarlet Spider"
Chapter 1
The moon gives off bright light. Tonight seems to be a beautiful night. It is bright as sunlight. A round object appears. What could it be? What is it?
It is bright as the sun. What is it? Like a rocket it is coming down like a speeding car! It was on flames! My God, what is it? BOOM! It has hit!
A door opens. It gives of a creaked sound, much as a rocking chair. A man steps out. He begins to survey the object from the sky he looked very concerned. He bends down to pick up something that appeared to be a black rock. An unusual color for a rock. The man walk towards the building to which he came out off.
“Dr. Hu,” a voice called out.
“Yeah,” the man answered.
“Is everything alright,” the voice asked.
“Sure,” Dr. Hu answered.
“Wait,” Dr. Hu called out.
“Everything is not right,” he said.
A straight piece of webbing shot across the huge city of New York. Like a beautiful acrobat a man in a red and blue suit swings through the city gracefully. He lands on a building and proceeds to walk on the building with no effort at all. His large white eyes reflect the sunlight as well as the city’s image. His feet stuck to the building’s surface just like a spider. Indeed he has all the abilities of a spider. His suit’s red parts had linen resembling webbing and a small spider on his chest; the rest of his costume was blue. He headed in the building from the nearest widow. The young man took his mask of f and covered his costume with his normal clothes.
“Parker,” a voice called.
“Yes, Mr. Jameson,” the young man answered.
“I want you and your camera at the New York City Government Facility,” Jameson shouted.
“What so special that you want me down there,” Parker asked.
“A meteoroid landed there a week ago,” Jameson, brag, “I want Eddie there with you incase you screw things up.”
J. J. Jameson, a man that loves a story that will sell papers. The boss around the place, manager of the Daily Bugle, who thinks Spider-Man, is a menace to society.
Peter Parker and Eddie Brock walked in the facility. They were escorted through the hallway by security and were confront by men in white lab coats. Eddie Brock has work with the Bugle for a few years now, and knows how to get an assignment done. He is not too friendly with Peter.
Peter Parker has gone through a lot of changes in his life. He has super powers of a spider transmitted to him by a radioactive spider. He fought a insane millionaire named Norman Osborn who is known as the menace, Green Goblin. Not only that he has to cope with the fact his uncle being murder by a man that he could of stop earlier. Not to mention a girl that he likes.
The two reporters were escorted to the lab of Dr. Hu. Eddie decided to take photos of the lab instead of getting a story first. Peter asked a lot about what had happen near the facility.
“Well, a meteoroid landed near here a few weeks ago, as you may have seen on the news,” Dr. Hu began to explain,” I founded a strange looking rock.”
“What is so special about this rock,” Peter asked.
“Well, if you make me explain I will,” Dr. Hu said.
“Oh, Sorry,” Peter muttered out.
“This strange rock had life on it,” Dr. Hu explained more,” this alien on it began to expand and now we keep it in a containment here.”
“I can show you how it looks,” Dr. Hu said.
“Why keep it in containment,” Peter asked.
“Well, we didn’t want it to expand a lot,” Dr. Hu explain,” it was growing so we had to keep it from spawning.”
“I only got a sample of it in this lab were I been testing something on it,” Dr. Hu said.
“Oh,” Peter said.
“I been testing a sonic ray on it, the waves produce a sound barrier which we can’t hear, but like a dog this substance is effected by it,” Dr. Hu explained.
“So, this alien is affected by sound,” Peter asked.
“Yes,” Dr. Hu said.
A black blob moves around slow and began to bond with a piece of metal.
“You see it also bonds with things like a symbiote,” Dr. Hu said.
“Okay,” Peter replied.
Peter snapped photos of the substance.
“I think that’s all you need for your story young man,” Dr. Hu said.
“Yeah, Thanks for the information, Dr. Hu,” Peter said sharply.
Peter and Eddie were escorted out of the facility and began to walk to the Bugle.
“What did you got, Parker,” Eddie asked.
“Some photos and information on what they had found,” Peter replied.
“Then give me it,” Eddie shouted out at him.
“No way! This is my story,” Peter said.
“Listen boy, give all the info that the doctor gave you or I’ll-,” Eddie said.
“Or what,” Peter asked running from Eddie.
“Come back you little runt,’ Eddie shouted!
Peter duck into an alley and change into Spider-Man. He shot webbing to a building and began to swing to the Daily Bugle.
“Oh man,” Spider-Man said to himself.
A black substance was on his costume.
“I better not worry how my suit looks,” Spider-Man said to himself.
“I better get this story to Jameson, before Eddie tries to ring my neck off,” Spider-Man said to himselfChapter 2
Spider-Man swing graceful through the city towards the Daily Bugle building. He got there in half the time in what would have taken him to reach if he had walk. Peter changes his clothes quickly, and processed to J. Jonah Jameson’s office.
“Mr. Jameson, I got a story,” Peter said.
“Well, it better be a good one, Parker,” Jonah groaned.
“Sure it is a good story,” Peter said.
“Well, what is it,” Jonah shouted.
“It is about an alien that they found from the meteoroid-,” Peter said.
“An alien,” Jonah asked.
“Yes, and I got photos,” Peter told him.
“Great work, Parker,” Jameson said.
“And-,” Peter tried to talk.
“This will sell papers,” Jonah said excited.
“Parker, give Robertson the camera and info then go home for the rest of the day,” Jonah said.
“You’ll have a big bonus at the end of the month,” Jonah said.
“Why thanks Mr. Jameson,” Peter said.
Peter grabbed his bag and process to walk out the building looking cheerful.
Eddie rush into the Bugle building like lightning.
“Where is Parker,” he asked.
“Eddie, get in here,” Jameson called out.
“Fire,” Eddie said shocked.
“Yes, you screw up, letting a rookie get the story before you,” Jonah explained.
“But let me explain, Jonah,” Eddie beg.
“No excuses,” Jonah said, “Now get out of my site.”
Eddie walks out the building frustrated.
“Damn that Parker,” Eddie said.
“I’ll get you,” Eddie said to himself.
Peter walks in the room of his university and hears the phone ringing.
“Hello,” Peter answered.
“Peter, its Aunt May,” Aunt May said over the phone.
“Hi, Aunt May, um, how is the trip to Mexico going,” Peter asked.
“It’s fine, Peter, Marlene and I are having a wonderful time,” Aunt May said, “I was just calling to see how you are doing.”
“I’m fine, Aunt May, hope you’ll enjoy the trip,” Peter said.
“All right, bye,” Aunt May said.
“Bye, Aunt May, love ya,” Peter said to his aunt then he hung up the phone.
“I’m glad Harry is out of town too,” Peter said to himself.
“I’ll meet up with Mary Jane tomorrow,” Peter thought.
Peter decided to turn in and went to sleep.
A black substance shot through Peter’s bag. What could it be? It proceeds to crawl on the floor. What is it? Like a turtle it crawl slowly towards the bed. What is it? It shot into the air and then-
Peter was looking up. What are those things? It’s the Spider-Man costume but huge, with a black blob. They seem to battle it out. Then the blob grabs Peter. What is going to happen? The Spider-Man suit tries grab Peter from the clutches of this strange creature. Its efforts are wasted. The black blob roars out and then proceeds to swallow Peter down whole-
Peter wakes up to a face that seems to be familiar, it’s image reflects of a widow of a building. It looks like the Spider-Man mask but black with the same white eyes.
“How in the world I got out here,” Spider-Man asked himself. The suit was black and it had a huge white spider on it.
“This is weird,” Spider-Man said to himself.
His arm reach out then shot webbing out.
“What the-,” Spider-Man said.
His other arm then grabbed whole of the webbing.
“Hey! I can’t control my body,” Spider-Man said.
He began to swing through the city.
“How I’m doing this,” Spider-Man asked himself
Chapter 3
Spider-Man swung across the city in this new black costume. It seems as if the costume was doing all the movements of his body. Spider-Man doesn’t understand what is happening now.
“What the hell is going on,” Spider-Man asked himself.
The suit controls every movement, every action of his body.
Spider-Man struggles with the suit to regain control.
“I got to get control of myself,” Spider-Man said to himself.
A great strain came on his arm as he tries to move it. Spider-Man regains control. He lands near by the Daily Bugle building.
Now that Spider-Man is in control of himself, he rushes off to home.
“How in the world I got out here,” Spider-Man thought.
“And how did this suit came on me,” Spider-Man said to himself.
Spider-Man goes towards a widow ledge. Home, at last he thought.
He begins to search his bag. All right now, where is the suit he asked himself.
“Where is my suit,” He asked himself.
Then a sicken thought came on him. That black substance.
Could it? No. Could it be?
“It’s the alien,” Spider-Man thought.
“How in the world it got on me,” he asked himself.
It has bonded with his suit and has bonded with him also!
“It must have got on me when I was taking pictures or got in my bag,” Spider-Man said to himself.
“Damn,” Spider-Man said.
The alien costume wiggle.
“What’s going on,” Spider-Man asked himself.
The suit seemly comes off. Is it really off? Peter was in his normal clothes. Was it a dream? Was it?
His clothes turn into the suit again! It was still on!
“It can alternate its appearance,” Spider-Man said to himself.
“I’ll take it out for a test run,” Spider-Man thought.
Out the widow he went. Web swinging. He is graceful like an acrobat. He was better than any stuntman. Traffic. Spider-Man thought about testing his strength. An eighteen-wheeler he decided on testing his strength. He left it with ease. Just like Superman.
“I never really thought I’ll be testing my strength again,” he thought.
He puts it down then swings away on a web line. He swung throughout the city.
Down through an alleyway, Eddie Brock walk frustrated with the fact he has been fired. Eddie kick a trash can, took it, threw it. He was mad as a hornet. He lived in an apartment. He couldn’t afford to live there no more. He don’t even got his job no more because of a kid. He thought if he can score something big he could get his job back. But in the meantime he better look for a job somewhere at least.
Spider-Man in his new black costume swung nearby. Eddie saw him. This could be his big chance! Yes! If he follows Spider-Man he could get a story and get his job at the Bugle back.
Eddie followed Spider-Man throughout the city till Spider-Man reached the university. What was he doing here? What is there to do here?
Eddie followed Spider-Man to Peter Parker’s widow. He looks different. Eddie remembered Spider-Man in a red and blue suit. Not a black one.
Spider-Man stood inside the room. Eddie pulled out his camera. The mask came off quickly. How did it do that? Eddie eyes were shocked to see who it was! It’s Parker! Peter Parker! Peter is Spider-Man? Yes! It is true. FLASH!
Eddie took a picture with Spider-Man without his mask! Yes1 This is it. He has got a story.
“Who is out there,” Peter shouted out.
Eddie begins to run with excitement. The mask comes back on. Spider-Man proceeds to chase Eddie.
“Come back here,” Spider-Man said.
All Eddie did was laugh.
Eddie duck into an alleyway.
Ah yes. Eddie seems safe. Then a shot of webbing hit him.
“Give me your camera,” Spider-Man said.
“I will never, I know your secret, Parker,” Eddie shouted.
“You know,” Spider-Man said in complete shock.
“Yes!”
“Just give me the camera,” Spider-Man shouted.
“No! You cost me my job, and now I’m going to cost you your life,” Eddie shouted.
“Alright now-,” Spider-Man said, “Argrh!”
“What has happen to you,” Eddie taunted.
“Argrh,” Spider-Man shouted in pain.
A huge sound came from the far east. Eddie covered his ears as well did Spider-Man. The suit begins to move and wiggle up and down. Peter collapsed due to the pain. The suit came off. Peter opens his eyes to see what was happening. What is going on? The alien costume crawl towards Eddie. It circle around him. It proceed to bond with him, giving him the appearance of a muscle up Spider-Man, same as the black costume but with a more sinister look, a mouth full with sharp teeth and a hideous tongue that stuck out his mouth.
“Your mine, Parker, or should I say Spider-Man,” Eddie shouted in his new state.
Peter Shot webbing from his hand and swings away in his boxers.
“We have something plan out for you, Spider-Man,” Eddie said.
“Who is we,” Peter asked.
“The we I refer to is this costume, the alien,” Eddie said.
Peter landed on a building as he listens.
“We call ourselves Venom,” Eddie said taking a new personal.
Peter looked in shock as Venom which is Eddie Brock swinging away on a web line.
“Shit, now what,” Peter said.
Chapter 4
Peter shot webbing towards his bedroom. He swings inside to look for his other Spider-Man costume.
“Damn, Where is it,” Peter said.
Webbing shot through the air as a black figure swing across on it. A roar shot through the city. The figure was roaring. What is it? What is it?
It landed on a building.
“Well, my plan is going fine,” Venom laugh as he speaks.
Venom smiles as two young teenagers walk pass.
“There are my victims, yes, these would do just fine,” Venom said.
The two teenagers, a boy and a girl, walk holding hands. They looked peaceful yet pleasant. They stared in each other’s eyes with tenderness.
A shadow walks through the alleyway.
What was it?
What could it be?
“What was that,” the girl cried out.
“What was what,” the boy asked.
“I…I don’t know,” the girl said in a worried tone.
“It could have been the street lights fooling your eyes,” the boy said.
The shadow came pass again!
What was that they thought?
It could be anything!
Webbing shot on a street light.
Is it Spider-Man?
A monstrous figure appears before their eyes. It looked like Spider-Man, but it seems different. He is more muscle up, a sinister look, a mouth with sharp teeth and a hideous tongue sticking out.
The creature smiled.
“Who are you,” The boy shouted out.
“We called ourselves Venom, but you won’t live long to tell,” Venom said.
Venom shot webbing out at them, then proceed to pull them towards him.
Venom uses his suit to make daggers with his fingers.
What is he going to do?
SLASH! –
“911 emergency,” a woman said over a phone.
“It’s two teenagers, they have been murder,” A man said over the phone.
Peter turns on the television. He begins to put on his Spider-Man suit.
”Two young teenager has been murder,” The reporter said.
“Two teenagers,” Peter said putting on his costume.
“An eye witness here named Eddie Brock,” The reporter continues reporting.
“Eddie,” Peter said in shock.
“It was Spider-Man in an black suit, right here is a photo of him without his mask, his name is Peter Parker,” Eddie said.
“Oh no,” Peter said.
The phone begins to ring. Peter picks up the phone.
“Hello,” Peter said.
“Peter, where are you,” a young woman’s voice came on.
“I’m in my room,” Peter said.
“It’s Mary, are you listening to this,” Mary Jane asked.
“Yes, MJ, I am,” Peter said.
“Don’t go anywhere, I’m coming over,” Mary Jane said hanging up the phone.
Eddie walks into an alleyway. A black substance comes on him. He is Venom again.
“My plan work,” Venom said.
He shoots webbing into the air then swings across by.
“Look there he is,” some one shouted.
Mary Jane, a red headed young woman about 19. She is the girlfriend of Peter and knows his secret of being Spider-Man. She used to date Peter’s friend Harry Osborn who is out of town, but the two made an unlikely pair then split up now is with Peter. Peter had always love Mary Jane since their teenage years. Peter began to tell Mary about the incident early tonight.
“Oh, Peter, I knew it wasn’t you,” Mary said.
“Thanks for believing me, MJ,” Peter said.
“You know I can’t go out there with my name and as Spider-Man,” Peter told her.
“I can’t go out there as Peter Parker,” Peter said.
“Well, Peter, where would you go,” Mary asked.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Peter said.
“Huh,” Mary wonders.
“You got hair dye,” Peter asked.
“Yes, but why you need it,” Mary asked.
“I just need it,” Peter said.
Mary hands over the hair dye to Peter.
Peter proceeds to dye his hair blonde. He walks in the room.
“Peter, you dyed your hair,” Mary asked.
“Yes,” Peter said.
“Why,” Mary asked.
“I can’t go out as Peter Parker, but I’m going out as Ben Reilly,” Peter said.
“Why the name Ben Reilly,” Mary asked.
“The name Ben is from Uncle Ben and Reilly from my aunt’s maiden name,” Peter said.
“I see,” Mary said.
“You can’t go out there as Spider-Man either,” Mary said.
“I know,” Peter said.
Ben Reilly, which is Peter Parker, walks towards the widow.
“I know I can’t go out there as Spider-Man, but I got to do some thing to clear my name,” Ben said.
Ben searches through his closet to look for something. Mary watches Ben, the disguise Peter Parker, throw clothes from the closet.
“Here it is, I could use this old Spider-Man mask,” Ben said.
“You are going to use that,” Mary asked.
“Yes, it is all I got besides the red and blue suit, but I can’t use that,” Ben said.
Ben changes his clothes. He puts on a white shirt, a brown leather jacket, a blue jeans, two black gloves and shoes, and a black Spider-Man mask that resemble the black alien suit he had on early before it went on Eddie Brock.
“Go to your room now, Mary, I have to go,” Ben said.
Mary gets up then walks over to Spider-Man. She pulls the mask off to his nose then kisses him on the lips.
“Be careful, Peter,” Mary said.
“Ah, MJ, you have to call me Ben now,” Spider-Man said.
“Oh, sorry,” Mary said.
“Good night, MJ,” Spider-Man told her.
She gives him a wink then she walks out the door.
Spider-Man shoots webbing out the widow then swings off to the city.
“Alright, Venom, where are you,” Spider-Man said to himself.
Chapter 5
Heavy rain poured down like if rocks was falling from the sky. The droplets hit harder than a lion’s claw. Spider-Man stands in the middle of the bad weather. He was framed for murder. Now he is out here in the cold hard weather. He knows Venom, Eddie Brock, is out there.
“I’m glad Aunt May doesn’t know about this,” he said in his mind.
He thought about where he was going to go. Nowhere seem perfect. Nowhere at all. The rain poured harder. Spider-Man jumps from the building from which he was standing.
“I’ll find you Venom,” he said.
The rain had settle. It poured softer. It was peaceful, calm.
“It will be dawn soon,” Spider-Man said to himself.
“I’m sorry, MJ, if I had to walk out on you with this,” Spider-Man said in his mind.
He shot webbing out then swings towards his university. Spider-Man goes inside his bedroom. He signs. He looks at his red and blue Spider-Man costume. He pulls his mask off. A mirror. Ben picks it up. He looks at his image. A tear is noticeable on his face. What he sees is a young man framed. A crime he never committed. Blame for someone else’s wrong doing. He looks at his old costumes designs. Which could he use? He picks up his pencil and begins to draw a costume design.
The image unfolds. A red mask, same usual white eyes, a blue vest with a huge spider in the middle, the rest red. Ben looks at it. He began sketches a web shooter. Not to really he needs them, his body can produce his own web fluid and shoot it from his hands. These are especially made for Venom, who is muscle up. Ben, the disguise Peter, web fluid that his body makes is not strong enough to hold Venom. These web shooters cause impact when it is shot. Impact webbing. That was what he would call it.
Ben work through the night to get the new costume done. Every drop of sweat. Every minute seem to count. The suit was finished by dawn. He needed a name. A new name for his new alter ego. Ben sat and thought. He looks at the new suit he just made. Scarlet, Scarlet Spider. The Scarlet Spider. A new name for his alter ego.
Ben start to change into the Scarlet Spider. He changed very quickly.
He shot webbing out of his widow then began to swing out in to the city.
“I think I better test the web shooters,” Scarlet Spider said in his mind.
“Not to I really need them,” Scarlet said.
“But I need them for Venom,” He said.
He scans the city. He surveyed the land for trouble.
There a thief. Stealing.
Scarlet Spider rush to the scene.
His glove had bottoms to shoot the impact webbing from his wrist from gray capsules.
Scarlet rolled his hand to a fist then out shot the web fluid.
With impact, webbing spills all over the thief. Sending the thief off his feet.
Scarlet grabbed the purse then return it to a woman who confronted him for it Scarlet handed it over to the woman who began to run from him.
“Murderer,” she shouted out at him.
“But…” Scarlet said.
Scarlet lowers his head. People think he is a murderer, but he is not.
Scarlet shoots webbing into the air then swings off.
“I have to make them know I’m not Spider-Man no more, I’m The Scarlet Spider now,” Scarlet said.
Chapter 6
Scarlet lands on a statue of a gargoyle. He looks at the city with concern. What could he do? Why Venom killed those teenagers? Why?
Eddie Brock walk in the Daily Bugle building holding a photo of Spider-Man without his mask. In his mind he thought, “Parker, you got me fired, now its payback time! Yes, my plan has gone smoothly.”
“Here you go Jonah,” Eddie said.
“Thanks Eddie, as of now you are reinstated,” Jonah said.
“Why thanks, Jonah,” Eddie said.
“Expect the bonus that was supposed to be that no good lying Parker’s at the end of the month,” Jonah said angrily.
Eddie nodded.
Eddie walk towards the exit. Eddie smiled a sicken smile.
He walked along the sidewalk, then duck into an alley.
A black substance came on him. Venom.
He shot webbing out into the air towards a gargoyle. He began to swing- then…Spider-Man! He saw Scarlet swing past by.
“Parker!”
Scarlet looked behind him.
There, the hideous face of Venom.
“Venom!”
Venom landed on a rooftop.
Scarlet followed.
The two stared down each other. Venom smiled sinisterly. Scarlet circle Venom cautiously.
“Why,” Scarlet asked.
“For what,” Venom asked.
“Why did you kill those innocent people,” Scarlet asked.
“The teenagers? Oh, I will tell you why! You cost me my job! You cost me my job,” Venom shouted.
“I cost you your job,” Scarlet said puzzled.
“Yes, you gave in that story and cost me my job. I was fired! When this alien and I bonded together…I device a plan for you. To frame you for murder. Instead of costing you your job I will cost you your life! You understand now, do ya? We didn’t enjoy kicking those teenagers, but they had to work into my plan. Understand? But I’m not going to kill you alone, We, Venom, is going to enjoy every minute tearing you limb from limb,” Venom explained.
“You-,“ Scarlet said.
“Ha,” Venom shouted.
Venom clobbers Scarlet with a right hook. Venom grabbed Scarlet’s head the rams it into a brick wall! Scarlet counters with a kick! Venom grabs Scarlet by the leg then throws him into the air. Scarlet shoots webbing to a building then swings towards Venom. Venom grabs both of Scarlet’s legs.
SMASH! Scarlet gets up from the rumble. Scarlet rushes towards Venom. A right hand to Venom’s face. Venom roars in anger. Scarlet continues to punch at Venom. Venom clobbers him with both hands. Scarlet stares at Venom. Scarlet lifts his arm, rolls into a fist- then out shoots a capsule.
With the force of impact webbing spills all over Venom. Venom staggers a little. Scarlet continues to shoot impact webbing at Venom. Venom drops to the ground. Venom gets up then tears the webbing form his body and face.
Venom shoots webbing at Scarlet. He misses.
“Ha, You miss,” Scarlet said.
“Wrong fool,” Venom shouted.
Venom pulls the webbing with doing that he pulls part of the brick wall towards Scarlet hitting him. Scarlet drops to the ground of the rooftop. Venom walks over to him. He picks him up. A sicken smile came to his face. He pulls the mask of Scarlet.
“You are not Parker,” Venom said, looking at Ben.
“You have blonde hair,” Venom said.
“You are wrong,” Ben said.
Venom examines Ben closely.
“You are Parker,” Venom said.
“Yes, after you framed me I had to come up with a new identity, I’m Ben Reilly now, and I’m not Spider-Man, I’m the Scarlet Spider,” Ben said.
“Well that won’t help you,” Venom said.
Venom throws Ben to a building. SMASH! Ben gets up staggering. Ben shoots impact webbing in Venom’s face. Ben shoots webbing and swings away.
“You won’t get far Parker,” Venom shouted.
Ben swings overhead. It seems long. There. It’s Mary Jane’s bedroom. Ben swings as fast as he can. He can see Mary from where he is. Ben lands on the widow ledge.
“MJ,” Ben said.
“Peter,” Mary said.
“What happen to you,” Mary asked.
“Can I stay with you,” Ben asked.
“Yes, but what happen to you,” Mary asked.
“Ah, Mary-“ Ben said, he collapses.
“Peter, oh Peter,” Mary said.
“Peter,” Mary said.
“Peter!”
Ben lies motionless. Mary Jane drags Ben to her bed. She lays him there.
She waits in concern.
Chapter 7
Venom stood on the rooftop for quite some time now.
“Parker, you can’t hide from us. No matter where you take refuge. We will find,” Venom said in his mind.
Mary sat beside Ben she worried dearly for him. He was out cold. It was like he was knockout from a Tyson punch. “I can’t beat him,” Ben said in his sleep. “Peter,” Mary calls out. A dream begins to unfold in his mind. A right punch. A left and a right. Scarlet began to fight Venom. Venom counters every attack he dishes out at him. Scarlet tried every attack he knew but his efforts were wasted. Scarlet is knockout. He looks up then sees Venom looking down at him ready to kill. Venom lifts his hand up- Ben wakes up from his nightmare. “Peter,” Mary calls out.
“I’m okay, MJ,” Ben said.
“But look terrified,” Mary said.
“I’m Okay,” Ben said.
“You said you can’t beat him,” Mary asked.
“Yes,” Ben said.
“What do you mean you can’t beat him,” Mary asked.
“He has no weakness, no matter what I throw at him,” Ben explained.
“But everything has a weak point,” Mary said.
“Not him,” Ben said.
“You don’t remember that you told me that the alien is affect by a large sound, when it came off you,” Mary said.
“I remember,” Ben said.
“Then that’s its weakness,” Mary said.
“Thanks, MJ,” Ben said.
He kisses her then heads to the widow.
“Where are you going,” Mary asked.
Ben puts on his mask.
“To see a doctor,” Ben said.
Scarlet shoots webbing out into the air then swings out of Mary Jane’s room.
“Be careful, Peter,” Mary said in her mind.
The New York Government Facility.
“I hope Dr. Hu is here,” Scarlet said to himself.
Scarlet lands down by the facility.
“Hey look you can come here,” A security guard shouted.
“I need to see Dr. Hu,” Scarlet said.
“You can’t see him you murderer,” The guard said.
“ Hey look I didn’t kill those teenagers,” Scarlet said.
Scarlet pushed the guard away then went into the facility.
Scarlet walk towards Dr. Hu’s office. Scarlet walks inside.
“Hey why are you doing here,” Dr. Hu asked.
“I’m here for that sonic ray,” Scarlet said.
“What for,” Dr. Hu asked.
“I just need it,” Scarlet said.
“Help! Security,” Dr. Hu shouted.
“I’m not here to hurt you,” Scarlet said.
The security barges into Dr. Hu’s office. They tried to grab Scarlet, but Scarlet jumps onto the ceiling. Scarlet grabs the guards’ heads then smack them together.
“Look! I’m not here to hurt you,” Scarlet said.
“But why do you want the sonic ray,” Dr. Hu asked.
“If you calm down I will explain everything,” Scarlet said.
“All right,” Dr. Hu said.
Scarlet look around. There it is the sample of the alien.
‘See that,” Scarlet asked.
Dr. Hu look to see what he was taking about.
“I will explain why that has something to do with the reason I need the sonic ray,” Scarlet said.
Chapter 8
Dr. Hu grabs the sample of the alien.
“You mean this symbiote bonded with a reporter,” Dr. Hu asks.
“Yes, it bonded with a man called Eddie Brock,” Scarlet said.
“He was the one that killed those two teenagers,” Scarlet said.
“I thought it was you, Spider-Man,” Dr. Hu said.
“Your wrong Dr. Hu, I’m not Spider-Man, I’m the Scarlet Spider, and it was Eddie Brock who calls himself Venom that killed those teenagers,” Scarlet said.
“You’re the Scarlet Spider, I thought you were Spider-Man,” Dr. Hu said.
“Well, he wants to framed Peter Parker,” Scarlet said.
“Why,” Dr. Hu asks.
“It was because Peter gave in a story to the Daily Bugle of an alien then Eddie got fired, he is trying to get revenge on Peter,” Scarlet explains.
“Oh, Eddie Brock is the other young fellow with Mr. Parker,” Dr. Hu said.
“The alien seems to be affected by huge sounds,” Scarlet said.
“Yes, but the sonic ray gives off sound waves that can’t be heard of humans,” Dr. Hu explains.
“But the symbiote can hear it,” Scarlet says. “ Can you lend me the ray,” Scarlet asks.
Dr. Hu took a few minutes to decide what to do.
“Alright, I trust you with this,” Dr. Hu said handing the sonic ray to Scarlet.
It was small, shape like gun, with a trigger to let sound waves produce.
Scarlet walks out of the facility.
Scarlet looks at the sonic ray. He knows how this could be his only ay to beat Venom. Scarlet shoots out webbing then swings off to find Venom.
Up on a rooftop Venom watches. He is looking for Scarlet.
“Parker, I know you are out,” Venom said in his mind.
There! It’s Scarlet Spider! Venom watches Scarlet swing by. Venom smiles.
Venom shoots webbing out then swings after Scarlet.
“Parker,” Venom shouts!
“My spider sense didn’t kick in,” Scarlet said in his mind.
“He could block my spider sense,” Scarlet said in his mind.
“Parker! We have a date with you,” Venom shouts.
Scarlet lands down of a rooftop. Venom follows.
“Parker, It is time we finish this off,” Venom says.
Scarlet holds out the sonic ray.
“Oh, what’s that,” Venom taunts.
“Medicine for you scar face,” Scarlet shouts!
Scarlet pulls the trigger. A sound barrier forms. Venom drops to the ground.
“Aggh, what is that thing doing to the suit,” Venom asks.
“The suit is affected by huge sounds, it’s time to finish this, I’m taking you to the cops,” Scarlet said.
The symbiote wobbles. The symbiote shoots a dagger out at the sonic ray. It hits!
“Oh no! There goes my chance,” Scarlet says.
“What’s wrong now Parker,” Venom taunts.
“Damn it,” Scarlet says.
“Without that weapon of yours your nothing,” Venom shouts.
Venom walks over to Scarlet. BAM! A right hand to Scarlet’s face. Venom picks up Scarlet then rams Scarlet’s face into a wall. Scarlet tries to counter also. A kick to the face of Venom! Scarlet rushes in for another attack. Scarlet punches furiously at Venom! Scarlet backs off a little then tries to shoot impact webbing at Venom. Venom dodges the impact webbing. Venom grabs Scarlet’s wrists.
“You can kiss these shooters good bye,” Venom says.
Venom squeezes Scarlet’s impact webbing shooters.
Scarlet kicks Venom to get away from Venom’s grip.
Scarlet swings away on a web line. Venom follows.
“How can I beat him now,” Scarlet asks himself.
Scarlet looks around the city. There! The space station. There are launching a new rocket out tonight. It will produce huge sound waves.
“Alright!”
“All I need to do is get him there then I got him,” Scarlet says in his mind.
“Come back here Parker,” Venom shouts!
“We are not finished with you yet,” Venom shouts!
“Come get me,” Scarlet shouts.
“You want to play cat and mouse, all right then,” Venom taunts.
“Good, he is following me,” Scarlet says in his mind.
“Just a little closer.”
“Prepare yourself Parker,” Venom shouts. “We are coming for you,” Venom shouts.
Chapter 9
Scarlet swings as fast as he can to the space station.
“Almost there,” He said to himself.
He looks behind him. Venom is closing in.
“Oh, Parker,” Venom taunts.
“Just a little closer,” Scarlet said to himself.
Scarlet and Venom approaches the rocket. They begin to land down near the shuttle. Scarlet turns around. Venom walks closer and closer to him.
“ Alright now lets finish this Parker,” Venom shouts.
Scarlet and Venom charges at each other. Each began to counter combos, punches, and kicks. Scarlet begins to punch furiously at Venom. Venom counters with a kick to the to the chest. Scarlet comes back with a kick of his own. Scarlet shoots webbing to Venom’s feet then sweeps him of his feet. Venom gets up. Venom approaches Scarlet then clobbers him with a right hand. Scarlet gets up. They charge at each other. They grab each other in a grapple. They struggle in a test of strength. Venom breaks lose then clobbers Scarlet with both of his fist. A voice came on through out the space station.
“Launch of the shuttle will launch in 10 seconds,” The voice said.
“Ah who cares, now we will get sweet revenge,” Venom said approaching Scarlet.
“10”
“Now,” Venom shouts.
“9”
The engines start up giving a thundering roar.
“Aggh,” Venom screams.
“What’s wrong with the suit,” Venom shouts.
“It works,” Scarlet says.
“6”
“5”
The symbiote gets wobbles. The symbiote is coming off Eddie Brock.
The symbiote roars then rushes of to Scarlet.
“Here eat this,” Scarlet shouts at the symbiote shooting webbing at it sticking the symbiote on the rocket.
“3”
“2”
“1”
“Launch!”
The rocket made another roar then went up to the air into space.
“Wait! We were a team, we were Venom,” Eddie said.
Scarlet grabs Eddie then swings off to the police station.
“So how are things going Peter,” Mary asks over the phone.
“Things are going okay,” Peter said drying his hair while talking on the phone.
“Just finished taking off this hair dye,” Peter said.
“Is it okay now to call you Peter instead of Ben now,” Mary asks.
“Yes, MJ, I’ll see you tomorrow I have to pick up Aunt May,” Peter said.
“All right but did you tell-,” Mary asks then is cut off.
“Don’t worry I told the cops that Eddie try to frame Peter Parker because of a mishap at work, after losing his job, they apologize to Spider-Man and Peter Parker,” Peter explains.
“So you identity is safe,” Mary asks.
“Yes, it is a secret, no one but you and me knows I’m Spider-Man,” Peter said.
“I got to go, love ya,” Peter said to Mary.
“Love ya too, so date tomorrow night,” Mary asks.
“Yes,” Peter said.
“Alright then bye,” Mary said.
“Bye,” Peter said hanging up the phone.
Peter took his Spider-Man costume and put it in his bag.
He looks at the Scarlet Spider costume.
“I’m hanging this up,” Peter said.
“I’m not Scarlet Spider no more I’m Spider-Man,” Peter said.
“Oh shit I’m late,” Peter said. He headed out the door to pick up Aunt May.
