    Modern Day Devils - Part 10
    By Snake - Mark

    There are no fires, no pitchforks, and no jagged rocks. Simply a city. The buildings in this city are broken down, beaten up, and crumbling; brick and cement falling from the buildings in dust-like form every several seconds. These buildings are not inhabited, but are used as training grounds. Hell has become one giant training facility.

    The make-shift cities are used to train the fighters of hell in the art of urban warfare, for the only war they have fought in was amongst a vast area of nothingness. At the time of the war, the cities will be replaced once more with the red, clay-like rocks that line the floors of Hell. The mountainous walls that make up the dividers for the seven sects of Hell will re-appear, separating the constantly burning furnace into different areas. Each area, run by the seven leaders of the Dark One’s Army, make up the holding pens for the sinners of each sin. Each block will take the sinners that it collects and turn them into slaves, or warriors, depending on the degree of the sin. Those that murdered became warriors; those that stole became slaves of the seven leaders. This, though, changed during the course of the century. Now each sinner is used for the war).

    Baal, the patron devil of idleness, holds to himself sixty or seventy legions of demons. He sits at the throne of the first section of hell, his minions gathered around him on their knees, worshipping him as if they have some gratitude towards him. Baal holds true to Satan’s purpose, planning on using everything he has against the forces of heaven.

    The cupbearer of the Devil, Behemoth, is that which the human race needs to fear the most. His giant stomach holds the souls of millions of sinners, his master being the only thing keeping him from releasing those souls upon the much wanted land. The malformed elephant’s massive weight is a threat in its own, and his head towers far over the heads of any five foot person alive. The second block of hell is guarded by this giant.

    Leviathan, the demon of the water, commands the navy of the Devil. Massive waves flow behind in his wake, leaving him chance to turn and swallow any victims that float within the waves he makes. Water demons, sprites, and nymphs will follow this demon through the gates of hell.

    The remaining four blocks of hell are guarded by Mephistopheles (whom will bring with him the worst of all humanoid demons), Azazel, Belial (whose main purpose is to con the forces of heaven and earth into joining the army of hell), and Minos (the fait bearer of all sinners that enter hell).

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The next wave of Hell’s forces lines up at the gate of hell, the gatekeeper (Cerberus) swinging its three dog-like heads back and forth. Roars are emitted throughout the large empty area as the next wave of forces, the Hellhounds, get ready to wreak havoc on the mortal plains.
    With a roar from Cerberus, the Hellhounds howl, vibrating the two large doors that separate the mortal plain from the country-land of Hell.
