Forgotten World
Jess, watching television in her small home, suddenly hears the telephone ring. She walks over to the phone and picks it up…
“Hello?”
“Is that you Jess”
“Who am I speaking to?”
“Its me! Your brother David.”
“Oh hey! Good to hear from you, so what do you need.”
“Well I have to deliver the message quick cause’ a storm is coming and the satellite signal is not going to last long.”
“Ok so what do you need?”
“Well I’ve become a researcher for the company (weiland yutuni) on the planet Tideral 292, and I was wondering… you still are a scientist right?”
“Yeah”
“Well…I hate to bring this up again, but you remember the research done on Rathar 181 right?” well those studies are continuing here and it…”
“WHAT!”
“Listen, I know how you feel about this, I promise you the security is state of the art, we have had no problems, no deaths, and no possibility of a break out.”
“Now you listen! I want you to get of that planet immediately!”
“What? No way I want you to come here and study these creatures with me.”
“Are you insane! ?”
“Trust me, It…it wont be like before, I’ll make a little deal with you, you come here for a week, and if you’re not impressed with the security, you can leave, well what do you think?”
“On only one condition.”
“I’m listening.”
“If I’m not impressed with the security, you have to leave the planet with me.”
“…”
“Well?”
“…Ok deal, there is a company ship making a routine cargo shipment tomorrow afternoon, I’ll tell them to let you on board”
“Sure…”
“Hey! Don’t worry everything will be fine, trust me.”
“Ok, I’ll see you in a few days.”
“ Thanks sis, see ya later.”
CHAPTER 1: Departure
Jess hesitantly walked up to the Weiland Yutuni cargo shipment center. The automatic sliding doors opened as she entered the complex. She walked to the shuttle departure station and saw a man standing in front of the entry tunnel to the shuttles. Jess hesitantly said “Hi, I’m Jessica Searan, um I’m a researcher, and I..” “Ah yes, you’re on the list, just go down the hall to entry port number 7” the guard replied. “Thanks” Jess walked down the hall, thinking hard, if she should really go, if she should take that risk. But maybe her brother was right, maybe it wont be like before. She looked up at the entry tunnel to the shuttle that would take her to the cargo ship. She walked into the tunnel, hoping that everything would be all right. As she entered the ship she could see the row of seats going back. Nervously, she walked to one of the empty seats and sat down. She pulled a bag of peanuts out of the small slot in front of her to mildly calm her hunger. The pilot of the ship spoke through the intercom saying “Please fasten your seatbelts, we are about to depart.” The shuttle started to hover and then flew into space…
Chapter 2: The Cargo ship
The shuttle was almost at the cargo ship, which was waiting at Gateway Space Station. As the shuttle docked, Jess removed her seatbelt, others were doing so too. There were about five people on the shuttle most just workers for the base. As jess exited the ship, she herd her mind saying “this is your last chance..”. She ignored her inkling and boarded the cargo ship. As she boarded the ship, she gave her luggage to the worker. She and some of the others entered the mess hall to grab a quick snack before entering hyper sleep for the long trip…
Chapter 3: parasite
One of the cargo workers was finishing organizing the boxes when one of them fell off of the table. As he walked over to pick it up he couldn’t help but look inside. He saw a large egg like object. It started to open. He peered down to get a closer look when something jumped out of the egg and onto his face. He was knocked unconscious…
Chapter 4: pain
The worker awoke to see a dead spider-like creature next to him. He started to feel sick; he went to go grab a snack. After another hour he went back to his room. When he arrived, he could feel an incriminating pain in his chest. He started to scream loudly. He could feel his chest start to burst. Blood sprayed everywhere he saw something come out. After he died the creature slithered out of his body. It started to eat the victim that it had grown in. Swiftly it snuck through the halls to find a nesting location…
Chapter 5: stowaway
Jess woke up to the sound of blaring alarms and flashing red lights. She asked one of the other crew members what was going on. “The Predators! They’re attacking the ship. We have to evacuate!” Jess ran down the hall and hurried to the escape pod. She had to get away.
The juvenile alien saw the humans run into the evac ships. It snuck on board. It had to create a hive…
The ships ejected from the mother ship to the nearest planet…Rathar181…
Chapter 6: confirmation
The Predators were satisfied that Jess made it out of the ship before they destroyed it. The Predator that was stalking Jess was a female Predator. She knew of Jess’s miraculous survival and she wanted to hunt her. This Female Predator not like the others, she was quicker than she was powerful. She was one of the best huntresses in the galaxy. And she would collect the ultimate trophy…
Chapter 7: Turbulent Landing
Fire engulfed the hull of the evac ship as it “re-entered” through the planet’s atmosphere. Jess did not know what planet the ship was entering, if she had, she probably would have stayed on the ship. The fire that surrounded the ship died down and started its emergency hover engines as it glided down to the surface. The ship only had 3 minutes of fuel left. The pilot had much trouble navigating through the thick fog. He desperately tried to see where he was going. Suddenly the pilot could see that he was 15 feet away from the ground. Desperately, he tried to pull up but the ship was going too fast. It smashed into the dense array of trees…
Chapter 8: Welcoming Party
As Jess slowly stood up, she grabbed her head, trying to diminish the pain from the crash. As the other crewmembers got up, Jess noticed that not many made it off the mother ship; there were only about twenty or so. Suddenly, the ship started to shake. Jess still didn’t know what planet they had landed on, but she had inkling. Then, the back of the ship was ripped off. She screamed in horror as she witnessed a giant Spinosaur grabbing one of the crewmembers and thrashing him from side to side. The Ship started to tilt backwards from the force of the crewmembers running to the front of the ship. The ship fell and smashed onto the ground. The impact killed about 3 workers. The Spinosaur used it’s large claws to roll the ship across the jungle floor. The harsh impact of a large tree stopped the rolling. Jess could not think straight; all she knew was fear at this point. The side of the ship suddenly was ripped open. The Spinosaur pulled yet another worker out and swallowed him whole. Jess and some of the others ran out of the hole in the back of the ship and into the jungle. Jess did not look back, but she could feel the shaking of the ground coming closer. Then the Spino’s head was stuck in an array of trees. It could get away but it was trying to reach the people. It roared in fury…
Chapter 9: Clash of the Titans
Jess and the others continued to run and then slowed down to catch their breath. “I think we lost him.” One of the men said. Just then, an even larger dinosaur grabbed another worker and devoured him. “RUN!” Jess screamed. The Giganatosaur chased them to an open grove. As they ran the dinosaur they encountered before, Spinosaur cut them off. The two dinosaurs started to ferociously roar at each other. The Giga Slashed the Spino with it’s enormous claws. Spino screamed in pain while rearing back to charge at Giga. The Spino, using its large tail, smashed Giga onto the ground. Giga quickly arose and latched it’s gigantic jaws around the spino’s sail. The Giga cracked and snapped the tall sail bones coming out of Spino’s spine. After the Giga ripped Spino’s sail off, The Spinosaur fell to the ground dying from blood loss. The Giga released a powerful roar. As the humans ran away, it started to eat the Spino…
Chapter 10: Growth
The chestburster alien had grown almost to full size. After escaping from the evac ship, it ate small reptiles and insects until it grew into an adult. It first needed a host to start a hive so that the host could mutate into an egg. It started to stalk the jungle as night began to fall…
Chapter 11: The hunt begins
The female Predator landed her ship near the crashing spot of the human ship. As she started to equip her gear, she heard a sound in the bushes. She pulled out her combi-staff and headed towards the source of the sound. As she looked around she could not see anything. She then casually turned around to see a Raptor starring right in her face. She back flipped while pulling out she combi-staff. The Raptor lunged at her, she slashed at the raptor, cutting it’s arm off. It screamed in pain as it retreated into the jungle. The Predator laughed. She started back into the jungle to find her target: the Human girl that survived the predator attack on Rathar181, this planet…
Chapter 12: The Truth
“Now! I want to know the truth. Where did we land? Is this Rathar181!” Jess shouted to the pilot. “I’m sorry… It was our only chance…This is Rathar181.” The Pilot hesitantly replied. Jess was shocked with fear, even then she knew what planet she was on, just hearing it shocked her beyond anything she had ever herd.
The survivors climbed into the trees, they had been there for about an hour. Jess sat down on one of the branches, a man started to come towards her. “Hi, I’m Ryan, I heard about you on this planet before, I mean, I know it classified and all but I used to work there too.” Jess Interrupted saying “Wait, I was the only survivor.” “Yeah I know, I wasn’t there when it happened, I was on my way there when the ship headed for a different Weiland-Yutuni outpost. I asked why and they told me that the outpost on Rathar181 had been destroyed and that there was a single survivor, a girl, so that’s you huh?” Jess responded “Yeah that’s me” “so how did you get out of there?” “I’d rather not go into it too much but I tried to stay in the vents as long as possible.” Ryan said “Well, I am going to sleep, Good night” “good night, Let’s hope it will be a good morning too.” “Yeah”
Chapter 13: The “good” morning
As the survivors woke up they noticed that one of them were gone. They called out to him but there was no response. Then a Raptor suddenly jumped up and grabbed one of the survivors who was looking down. As the raptor ripped him apart the survivors in the tree watched in horror. Then about five more raptors appeared. They tried to climb the tree but they could not. The Survivors had only one choice to climb from tree to tree until they found a spot below the trees that the raptors could not get to. They walked from branch to branch but every time they looked down the raptors were right under them. “Look! There is a river up ahead, we have to jump into it, its our only chance!” Ryan said. As the team of survivors continued walking along the branches to the river, one of them fell out of the tree and onto the ground. He immediately got up and started to climb back up. A raptor jumped and thrashed him back to the ground. “Keep going!” Ryan said to the rest of the survivors. As they continued they were now right over the river. They jumped our of the tree and into the river. But the fast current was unexpected. The river violently thrashed the survivors. Jess was not a very good swimmer, she started to drown. She looked up to see a waterfall at the end of the river; she knew this was the end. The team went over the waterfall…
Chapter 14: The hive
After the alien captured the human host, a queen was born and the hive had been created. More hosts were needed though. The alien headed out into the jungle again to find some…
Chapter 15: Deadly waters
Jess felt herself hit the water hard. She was still alive though, she swam to the surface. About 4 other people made it to the surface. Jess felt something swim across her leg. Suddenly the long neck of a creature arose from the water. Its mouth was lined with razor sharp teeth. It was a pleaseasaurus. It swept a man out of the water and thrashed him from side to side. “swim to the edge! Go!” Ryan yelled. As the remaining 3 men swam to the edge, Jess was lagging behind, she could not swim fast. The pleaseasaur started to come after Jess. Ryan swam back to help her, he grabbed her hand and pulled her to the edge of the lake. What was left of the survivors ran into the jungle.
Breathing hard Jess turned to Ryan and said “Thanks” “Anytime” Ryan replied. As they continued through the jungle they discovered a building, it was a research center. As they entered the dark building they walked over to the front desk and looked at the facility map. “There’s a communication satellite on the west landing platform.” Ryan said. Jess had a blank expression on her face, “what is it?” Ryan asked, “This is the building that I escaped from 3 years ago.”
Chapter 16: escape
As they walked through the building, they found 3 weapons they were flame throwers. As they walked down the hall they herd load-shrieking sounds. Then a group of aliens ran towards them. “Fire!” Jess yelled. They shot the flamethrowers, incinerating some of the aliens. But one grabbed a survivor and ripped him apart. Jess torched the alien. Jess and Ryan were all that were left. They ran outside to the large landing platform. “I’ll climb the ladder and send the distress call, you wait here.”
As Ryan climbed the high ladder, an invisible force knocked Jess to the ground. Jess looked up to see a Predator uncloaking. The Predator looked at Jess and then through her a Combi-staff.
Jess caught it, and then the Predator pulled out a staff of her own.
The Predator swung and Jess with the staff. Jess blocked it then kicked the Predator in the stomach. The predator was knocked back, but quickly recovered. Jess spun her staff side-to-side and slashed at the predator, but the Predator dodged the attack and slashed Jess’s arm. Jess screamed in pain as she gripped the bloody cut in her arm. The Predator laughed and raised the staff to swipe off Jess’s head. Jess quickly rolled to the side and grabbed her staff. The predator lunged straight at her, but Jess took her staff and threw it straight into the Predator’s heart. The predator fell down dead. Ryan ran over to Jess and yelled “What happened?” “oh.. Just a little complication.” But Jess’s Joy quickly turned to fear as she felt the ground start to shake. The Giganatosaur jumped over the short wall and onto the platform. “Run!” Jess yelled. Ryan and Jess ran in opposite directions. Jess could not face the Giganatosaur with a staff, she needed a larger weapon. She yelled to Ryan who was hiding behind a crate, “I’ll be back!” as she ran back into the building. She headed for the armory as she ran down the dark halls. Suddenly an alien dropped from the ceiling. It roared at Jess. Jess pulled out her staff and swiped off the alien’s head. She continued to run to the armory. She looked at the door to the armory, it would not open, it required a four digit password, Jess was one of the most respected scientists back when she worked here she knew the code, but it was hard for her to remember. She tried as hard as she could but she could not remember the code. She ran to her former room that she stayed in and started up her computer. She looked in the files section and pulled up passwords, she saw the code for the door. She ran back to the armory and pulled a rocket launcher out of the gun shelf. She ran back outside. As she ran onto the landing platform she could see the Giganatosaur. It saw her as it ran towards her she just stood there. “What are you doing? Run!” Ryan yelled. Jess did not move, The Giganatosaur stopped right in front of her and let out a powerful roar in her face. She quickly aimed the rocket launcher and fired it into the Giga’s throat. She ran as fast as she could. The Giga Exploded in a flash of blood. Remains fell all over the place. Ryan ran out of his hiding spot and went over to Jess. “You are unbelievable!” he complimented to her. They herd the ship coming towards them. It landed, and the main ramp was released. Jess and Ryan ran into the ship. It then took off into outer space. “It’s over.” Ryan said. Jess responded “No, I still have to find my brother.”…
