The lab underground, the hive as people called it housed over dozens of Umbrella workers. Scientists worked hard on their studies. In one such lab room, someone was working on putting vials into a case. Slowly he worked, making sure none of the vials fell and broke. Slowly he worked, sweat was beginning to form on his forehead. Finally he got his work done. He only had one blue vial out. He opened the safety lid and took out the case. He held the one vial in his hand.
“ So much for the safety of others,” he said. He walked out and threw the vial over his shoulder. The vial flew through the air and landed on the floor, cracking and breaking into 2 pieces with shattered glass around the vial. The t-virus, which it held, spilled.
A scientist sat down in his chair. He noticed a man walking rather quickly by.
“ Walk a little slower please,” he said.
“ Sorry I’m late to a meeting,” the guy said. The man that rushed off quickly got onto an elevator and waited. The elevator soon opened and he was soon on the train toward the mansion. Soon everything was set. And Umbrella Corporation would receive the biggest disaster that it didn’t want. The man walked outside of the mansion and smiled. He held out the t-virus case. It was all his.
Later on, the lab began to shut down and warning signals sounded. One of the lab technicians scanned the area realizing there was a biohazard alert in effect. They tried locking the safety systems but soon something else happened. The red queen locked them in.
“ Oh shit,” one scientist said. They tried to get out but they couldn’t. Soon a gas entered the room and choked the scientists. There they lay, dead.
Part I- Welcome To Raccoon City
Kids are playing in the streets. How can kids be playing at a time like this?
BIZARRE MURDERS IN RACCOON CITY
Chief Irons reports that there is a strange twist to the murders. It appears that the victims weren’t simply killed, but eaten as well. Reports of cannibal killers on the loose have impacted the welfare and safety of this city.
Friends of the victims won’t speak of the incidents.
15 years earlier…
2 young girls age 5 and 6 ran through the forest of Raccoon city. They were both small Spanish girls. Their mother was not too far away with a picnic basket.
“ Stay close you 2,” she said. They ran and tackled each other, having fun. Suddenly a dog appeared. One of the girls, the 5 year old looked up at the dog.
“ Ooh nice doggy,” she said. She sat up. Her sister sat up as well, looking at the dog. The dog came over and sniffed the 6 year old.
“ Heh it’s sniffing you,” the 5 year old said chuckling. The dog sniffed the girl up and down. But then the dog did something bad. It sniffed up her arm and bit at her forearm. Blood slowly oozed down to her fingernails as she screamed out in pain.
The 5 year old screamed. The dog kept biting at the 6 year old. 5 year old hit the dog but it growled at her and she fell back. The dog bit at the 6-year-old girl’s neck, killing her as it ripped off skin. Blood bubbled out from the wound as the child died. The 5 year old ran off crying.
“ Mommy! Mommy!” she screamed. She came back with her mom and the mom screamed in horror as she saw the dog eating her baby 6 year old.
15 years later. Suddenly a 20-year-old Anika woke up from her sleep with a start. She had tears in her eyes. That was her 15 years ago with her sister, Amelia. The dog had run away when they came back. She grabbed the letter she had recently received.
“Dear Anika Davis, you have been stationed at the base in Raccoon City. Report there in 2 days,” the note had said.
The house was small. It had a Spanish feel to it. Anika walked down from her bedroom on the second floor. She was wearing a tank top and baggy pants. Her sports bra was visible through her sleeveless sides. She was a typically beautiful 20-year-old. She had that Spanish tint on her skin as always. She went into the kitchen and began work on making a Spanish omelet for her mother, who was just getting up. The omelet was now cooking when her mother came into the kitchen wearing her robe. She wasn’t a bad looking woman in her 50s.
“ Hola, Miha. Como esta?” she said as she kissed Anika on the cheek. Anika kissed back and replied, “ Bien, y-tu?”
“ Bien gracias,” her mom answered. Anika then continued cooking the omelet. Once it was done, she put it on a plate with bacon and a pancake and put the plate on the table.
“ Manja mommy,” she said. Her mother smiled and sat down at the table. Anika went to cook her breakfast. Then she paused a bit.
“ Mommy, I’ve been stationed in Raccoon,” she said softly. Her mother looked toward her.
“ Are you sure?” her mom asked. She nodded her head. She brought the letter to her mom.
“ Well I guess if you have to go, you have to go,” she said. “ Just be careful ok?”
“ I will,” Anika replied. She finished the second omelet and began a third. This one was for someone else. Anika then went upstairs to freshen up quickly. Just as she came down, all freshened up the eggs were ready. Soon she heard the door open. It closed as her friend Amy walked into the kitchen.
“ Hello neighbors,” she said. Anika’s mother greeted her with a hug.
“ Hello Amy it’s always good to see you,” she said.
“ Yeah its good to see you too,” Amy replied. Then she hugged Anika and they went to eat breakfast.
“ So how long will it take you girls to get there?” Anika’s mom asked.
“ 1 entire day,” Amy said. Anika’s mother whistled her amazement. Then Amy checked her watch.
“ Wow we better get going,” she said. Amy and Anika got up and kissed Anika’s mother goodbye.
“ See you girls,” she said.
The drive was short. They got their tickets and walked toward the area where they’d be waiting for their bus. They sat down in a chair.
“ Your mom seems a bit worried about us going to raccoon city,” Amy said.
“ Yeah well it’s a long story,” Anika replied.
“ I see. Well I won’t ask. I’m sure its not a story you like telling,” Amy said. Anika nodded her head. The bus finally arrived and they got in. It took half an hour for them to get everything into the bus. Then it was off. They were about to partake in an adventure they wouldn’t forget.
