Deadly Alliances ( Disc 1-Chapter 3)

Chapter 3
Jay Mercer was a man of ignorance. He was brown haired, a little chubby, and he wore brown clothing a lot. His shop overlooked New Brooklyn. It was an area that was built over the ruins of old Brooklyn when WW3 knocked it out with a nuke. Luckily the radiation was sucked out and they were able to rebuild. The shop was in itself quite interesting. Jay pawned items and he sold items. Today was Jays anniversary sale. Jay walked up toward the front of his store. He took in the fresh air. He glanced down and saw a car headed up to his shop. Jay smiled just a bit, ready for the upcoming customer. Then he recognized the car. He walked back to his cashier spot. The car stopped and a man got out. He opened the door. It was Seth. Seth glanced around the shop.
Hello Jay, long time, he said. Jay shrugged.
What can I say, its business as usual, Jay commented. He got up from his cashier spot. What can I help you with? Seth glanced toward him.
You can give me some information, Seth replied.
What type of info? Jay asked.
Oh you know. CarnaRaptors last known whereabouts. How I can get into his gang, Seth answered.
You know I dont know, Jay said.
Of coarse you do. You work for the man, Seth commented.
How did you know? Jay asked a bit nervously.
I didnt. You just confirmed it, Seth replied.
Look Im not supposed to tell anyone, Jay said. A car passed by the store. Jay walked toward the front door. He glanced out of the door. He noticed the car stop and drive backwards toward the front of the store.
Oh shit! he said and ducked out of the way just as 2 people began shooting at the shop with plasma guns. Seth jumped out of the way as the fire rocketed the shop. The plasma bullets shot through glass, wall, and crystal. Seth got up just as the fire ended. He grabbed a pistol from one of the racks and walked out of the shop. He aimed the gun at the car and fired 3 times into the back, where the computer was.
Buy freaks, he said as he charged a shot up. They began to drive away when he shot big plasma bursts at the computer system. The back of the car blew up and they fell to their deaths 40 feet below. He turned to Jay. He walked in and grabbed Jay by the neck. He pointed the gun toward Jays head.
What the fuck was that about? he asked. And dont lie. Jay simply wet his pants.
They want us out of the city, he said.
Why? Seth asked.
They think we did something very ignorant, Jay replied.
Well you do a lot of things ignorantly, Seth commented. He leg go of Jay. You might want to clean your pants. Jay walked in the back. Seth put the gun on a table and sat down for a bit. He wasnt watching the door. A woman walked in and took a look around. Seth turned as soon as he sensed her in the room. He glanced at the woman with quick interest. She was about 21, 120lbs. Quite thin, 5ft5. She was gorgeous. She had black hair, and brown eyes.
Some place you have here Jay. Redecorating? she asked. Jay came out of the back with some new pants on.
Uh nah. Look we have to talk to CarnaRaptor. This message thing with those freaks is getting a little too out of control. This guy here blew up the car in 2 bursts from a plasma gun, Jay said pointing to Seth. She glanced at Seth who was now just looking confused.
Seth this is Alanna Morgan. Shes CarnaRaptors right hand chick, Jay said. Seth and Alanna shook hands. She noticed how firm his grip was.
You seem interesting, she said.
You seem interesting as well, Seth replied. She smirked. She turned to Jay.
I hope you have a good reason for calling me here, she said. Jay pointed to Seth.
He wants in, he said. She chuckled a bit.
He wants in? she asked, obviously amused by the statement.
You saw what he could do. Can you arrange a meeting with CarnaRaptor for him? Jay said.
I wasnt here to see it. But Ill take your word for it and see what I can do, she replied. She then shook Seths hand again.
Have a nice day, she said as she left. Bye Dr. Grant.
She called you Dr. Grant? Seth asked.
She watches too much Jurassic park, Jay replied.
