    Jurassic Park Experiments
    Part 1

    12-31-2003
    Site B

Dr. Norton bent over a dead velociraptor. Two men stood behind him, both holding an M4. The old man pulled a pair of surgical scissors from his pocket. He cut a section of scales off its side and put it in a petri-dish. He then cut a feather off the main of the raptor. He stood back up, satisfied. He looked back at the two men and nodded. He and they walked along the beach to see a group of naval ships in the distance, helicopters landing on the island, letting soldiers out. Ten soldiers, he counted. They approached him and the two men.
“Dr. Norton, we successfully terminated all living dinosaurs from the island,” the soldier said.
    Dr. Norton smiled.
“Are you sure? I need every dangerous creature off of this island,” he said.
“Positive, sir. We have checked every cavern, every crevice, every wooded area, and all destroyed,” the soldier replied.
“Good, good. How soon can you clear land for my resort?” Dr. Norton asked.
“The work men and equipment are on their way from Costa Rica, sir,” the soldier said.
Dr. Norton took a long look at his prized possession: Site B. He had dreamt of this day were he can own an island of his own, set up a resort only available to the rich. He smiled again.

Dr. Norton sat back in his leather desk chair, folding his arms over his stomach. He stared at the couple sitting across from him.
“A weekend will cost a grand. A week will cost 8 grand. How long are you planning on staying for?” he asked.
“Well,” the husband said, “A weekend, and possibly another day.”
“A day at this resort costs 200 dollars. So, we are looking at 1,200 dollars. That is only the room and free admission to the beaches, pool and bar. You’ll have to pay extra for any other activities like recreational sports or use of the boats.” Dr. Norton sat up in his chair and grabbed a sheet of paper and handed it to the husband. “Sign your name at the bottom, the amount you are paying and the amount of days. Are you going to pay with credit or cash?”
    “Credit,” the husband says.
“Great! Go and pay at the desk out the door to your left and you’ll be given your room, pool and bar key’s. Have a wonderful time here.”
The three exchanged handshakes and the couple left.
After they left, Norton stood up out of his chair. He walked over to a huge window looking over the island. He was in his elegant office, and everything was fine. No worries, no problems, nothing. He never thought he could achieve his goal. People will flock to the island for a wonderful, enchanted, peaceful and expensive time at the resort. His personal secretary came into the office.
“Doctor Norton. Mr. Daniels is here to see you,” she said.
“Fine, let him in,” Norton said with a motion of his arm.
A tall, stocky man walked in and the secretary closed the door behind him.
    “What is it?” Norton asked.
“Sir, we have been told by other families that a certain couple, the Hernandez’s, they are missing as of two days ago,” Daniels said, uncomfortably.
“What! Where were they last seen?” Norton said, his eyes bulging.
“Some say they were on one of the speed boats. I checked it out and it’s true. They never logged out. They haven’t even returned to their room. Sir, what are we going to do?” Daniels asked.
“Well, you are the head of security. Figure something out!” Send out search teams. If that family isn’t found, God help us,” Norton said.
There was a long, silent pause between the two, and Daniels soon left. Norton sat down in his desk. He pulled the papers from a file cabinet. It was the Hernandez’s papers. He set them, on the desk. He had plans, if that family isn’t found, they will be taken off the record, as if they weren’t even here.
