    Jurassic Park: The Return
    By Rexy!

Soon to be a fan film directed by Russell Alan!

    Prologue

In the year 1998, Hammond Corporation went bankrupt do to tragic accidents occurring on Isla Sorna. The company’s rich entrepreneur was set aside from the former InGen Corporation, for safety reasons and money. Hammond had cost the large company a debt to the families of the 13 victims at Jurassic Park. Twenty Billion dollars was taken from InGen because of Hammond’s mistake.

Quietly John Parker Hammond continued the research on Isla Sorna by sending several teams in to find research and information on the living biological creatures that inhabited the forgotten world. One research team was lead by the former survivor, Dr. Ian Patrick Malcom. The known world learned about the island and it’s holders when an escaped animal from the island, found it’s way to San Frisco. Hammond was agitated by this, the ‘small’ unforgivable act cost him two million dollars to restore half of the city. After this incident Hammond sent one more team to observe the island and it’s inhabitants. The small group was secretly lead by a famous Tiger hunter, named Jack Thorne. The team was successful by staying on the mountain region of the island, further away from carnivorous animals.

Several years had past since the last team went to observe, until a small company Dino Soar, opened to the public. The scheme was not improved by the government, since the islands was restricted to anyone. The company’s goal, to take wealthy visitors to the shores of Isla Sorna to see live dinosaurs. The company did the act secretly, that was until a tragic accident occurred with a family called the Kirbys. A young child was left stranded alone on the island for several weeks. A group of members, including sole survivor, Dr. Alan Grant. Four causalities occurred in the rescue mission.

The government was all over Hammond and his teams, even though he hadn’t sent the rescue team in. John Hammond lost control over the island chain. He set out to make a wonderful, magical park for the people of the world, but all of it turned to a tragic stop for him. Everything was lost, until he met up again with a former worker from the first theme park. Hammond knew that the government wouldn’t let him set foot on the island, let alone, no one that was sent by Hammond was to set foot on the island. But the island chain, it couldn’t leave his mind. He had a idea. The brilliant mind of Hammond began it’s wondrous thoughts of what if? The worker could help him in his plan to finish the goal.

John Hammond had donated 6 Billion dollars to Dr. Henry Wu. Henry was a good friend of Hammond’s, he had worked with him for several years, before the Jurassic Park Incident. Now that they met up again, Hammond was giving Henry everything he got, to make his dream come true. Hammond had no choice, his grandchildren wouldn’t take the offer, but Henry, he did.
He was to make another theme park, but better, stronger, more secure than ever. It was to be on the island Isla Tanaco. The government had no say so in the operation, as in Hammond’s terms, “What they don’t know, don’t hurt them”.

The park began construction on May 2001, Project: JP was almost finished. Henry wanted to show off his and Hammond’s creation by inviting formal survivors to the park. They was no need for them to endorse the park, no matter what had happened, the park was going to open to the public, unlike Hammond’s old insecure Disney land.

All he needed was the world to come to him. He was waiting. People would think, that’s the guy who barely escaped from the horrible accident at Jurassic Park, why would he make such a park? In the mind of Hammond, people was ignorant, self centered, they didn’t know what they could do with their lives. Anyone could be like him, but they are too lazy to try, they are not brilliant like him. Henry on the other hand, was intelligent, he had a spark that could finish his dream, and the dream which will be know all over the world.

Hammond died year 2002, Henry Wu continued the operation. It was successful, better than the first. Maybe too much better…he had to remember that all major theme parks had faults, but his can’t, it was perfect.

    Island Storm

The heavy, yet freezing raindrops plummeted down from the sky. The clouds that hovered over Isla Nublar darken day sky. The world under the forest was unpredictable. Not knowing where to step in the harsh muddy lands of Isla Nublar could cause James Snare and his crew another day in the foliage. The thirty-six man team had to watch every step in the mud. Large holes was dug in the ground, what they was dug by, they didn’t know. James figured that the holes was made to trap wondering creatures in the forest. He couldn’t bare the thought of being trapped in a small hole, while pouring the rain, waiting for some creature to come down to find out what it is having for dinner. Why he thought of such ignorant events that could happen, while on such a mission like this, he didn’t know.

Snare shook his head, letting the water pour off his hat. It had been to too long. Henry said it would take two days, not two weeks. Before he left, Henry made him sign a contract stating no matter what happens in the mission, he was not responsible. He had everyone in perfect shape, he had picked the best members to join him on this hunt. But questions came to mind. Why hasn’t it showed up? Why haven’t they found it? Questions he could not answer.

Beside him, Ray Downer replied to Snare’s thoughts, “ Don’t worry Mr. Snare, we will find the target and get the heck out of here. It can’t be more than six hours in front of us. We can take shorter route and get in front of it. Use some bait.”

James looked at the young, dashing man beside of him. James smiled and said, “ How did you know that I was thinking that?”

“ I didn’t, I was thinking of that,” replied Downer with a chuckle.

Snare wondered how such a brilliant, athletic man as Ray, would have such a name as Downer. Snare sighed. They had to take a short cut, they didn’t to get home. The food source was running empty. The time outside of Isla Nublar was spinning, but time here, set still. The rain didn’t help it none.

From the back of the group, a crew member shouted to the front men. Snare heard the man repeat the awful word, for which he bared not to think of while on the mission, the man was shouting raptor.

It all made since to him know, the holes was dug to trap animals, making them defenseless. The raptors dug the holes instead of waiting for something to come to them. But it seemed that it got turned around, since the crew had walked in the breeding grounds of the worst animal alive today.

The team gathered in a circle. It was technique used to watch all sides of the jungle at the same time. They were safe as of now, they had carried lightly, but wisely. Each member had their on tranquilizer and handgun. They wasn’t leaving the dock unprepared.

James Snare watched the dark jungle, waiting for movement. Before him, a dark creature silently stepped out into view. The colors of it’s camouflaged skin, made it impossible to find when it moved from side to side. The human eye couldn’t see it in night. Even with guns, they didn’t have a chance.

“ Night vision! Straps on, eyes open!” shouted Snare. The human eye can’t see it, but the thermal waves built in with night vision can see clearly.

The crew followed orders. Each strapped their goggles on. Snare slowly mad a reach for his goggles, trying not to make any sudden moves. Once he put them on, he felt as if he had been pushed off a cliff. They had fallen in a trap, he could count twenty two raptor standing in neat rows all around the crew. He could see about ten perched in the huge primal trees. They were the hunted. No need for a tranquilizer gun, the jobs calls for a .357 Magnum. Snare tried to think quickly, they was too many of them!
    “Snare, orders?” asked Downer.

“Fire at will, shot when they are more than twenty foot away,” replied Snare. His magnum fixed on a alpha male.

When the first raptor jungle, the jungle was filled with the sound of gun fire. Downer dared not step out from the circle, bullets was flying in ever direction. The howls of the raptors was getting louder. Snare gave more orders, but the crackling gun fire made it impossible to hear.

Several raptors had already jumped at Snare, one made contact. The injury could have been worse if he hadn’t shot it in the mouth. The army of prehistoric creatures seemed to keep coming. The rain was beginning to stop. The rain was starting to stop. The thought never entered his mind. If the rain stops, the sky will clear. It is suppose o be day time, if the raptors see the sun they will run, their cameo with the night would be useless. It will buy them time to escape from the jungle and head in the fields, and then continue their mission. Raptors has learned more about their environment.

“Stay in group, we keep waiting for more to come out!” shouted Snare.
It had to be his best idea ever since he came to this horrible place.

The group stayed in position for six minutes. The plan was working, the dark clouds was leaving the island. A beam of sunlight could be seen, shining through the thick canopy of the trees. What the made the plan even better was that they was running out of handgun ammunition, their tranquilizer darts was brought to take down the target. As the sun rose into sight, the raptors snapped and growled as they made slowly back into the darken jungle that received no light.

James Snare’s plan worked, all he had to do was wait for the last raptor to move back into the darkness.

“Run into the fields! We are taking a short cut!” shouted Snare. The crew followed orders, they dashed silently through the jungle, trying not to get the attention of any other unwanted visitors.

Downer tried to step where Snare stepped, he didn’t want to get in the knee high mud. They was no trails in this region of Nublar, no pens, fences, safe housing, or towers. They was on there own, until the transport arrives. He or any other members wouldn’t be here if they wasn’t going to get paid. Henry was a good man, but he needs to find another team to go and get his pets instead of us.

Snare shuffled across the vast landscape to the nearest field. The shortcut was saving them three hours of walking. The target is following it’s game trail. Which leads into the field they are in. They was a small road block for a massive eight ton carnivore. They was to wait for the target to come.

The Storm wasn’t helping the situation none. The mud was worse in the fields. The ground beneath them could cause them some time. They now had a time limit, if the target discovered the crew, the whole mission would become a major disaster. Unlike they needed that to happen.

James Snare scouted the area with several crewmen, learning that the path was less traveled. Which meant the trail had to split in half on up the mountain. They would have to draw the target in, by bait. It was the only way for it to come down this trail.

James turned and headed back to Downer. His clothes was filthy, he needed to take long, relaxing shower when he got home. He had already made his mind up, if this plan did not proceed well, he was going to call the transport.

“Sir, we have the trip wires in place, monitors, and several scouts nesting the trees. Everything is in place, the weather seems to be getting better, but it the wind is picking up. We are downwind,” said Downer. Everything he did was at Snare’s orders. He trusted him.

“Excellent! Everything is set up, and the wind is blowing!” said Snare with a smile.

“Sir, we are downwind, if any predator comes near a mile around this area, they will pick up our scent in a minute,” said Downer, he needn’t understand what James was leading up to.

“This trail is the least traveled on by the target, which means it’s a fifty fifty chance of it coming this way. If you and some of your men go out and get some bait, put it in this field, the target will smell it. The plan works out, now go kill something that it likes, maybe a hadrosaur.”

Ray Downer couldn’t believe this, the whole mission was turning out perfect. All the tracking, running, and shooting was at least good for something now. They was going to get to go home. James had found a way to complete the mission.

“ Yes sir, I will gather some crew and set out. It should only take about thirty minutes,” replied Downer and he jogged off.

James Snare was a intelligent man, why he didn’t think of this before he didn’t know. Maybe it was the rainy jungle, or the avoidance with the trap holes. Ever since he got out of that place, everything seemed a lot more clear for him to think. All of it had paid off.

Ray Downer settled in a small area, camouflaged by conifers and huge snake-like vines. He had took two more crewmen with him to hunt a hadrosaur. As of now, they had tracked a herd of young Parasaurolophus. Perfect targets. Downer motioned to the other crewmen, whizzing bullets zoomed past Downer’s head. Each shot was penetrated into one young Parasaurolophus. Three shots, the medium sized herbivore flopped to the ground. The remaining Parasaurolophus stampeded away from the dead animal.

“Get the cables, lets drag the sucker back to base camp.”

They didn’t weigh as much as they looked, but on the other hand, Downer had picked the strongest crewmen to help him. Usually Downer would never do this to a herbivore, unless it was rapid, but this was a have to situation. That was a simple task compared to what they been through on this hellish journey.

By the time Downer arrived back to the camp site, Snare was going over the goals on the mission. Do this meant that if this plan didn’t work, they was going to go home, target or not. Downer had been on assigned on every mission with Snare, he did this overall mission talk only when it was almost over. Downer could care less if they got the animal. He wanted a burger and bad. He was tired of eating stale crackers and some dehydrated jell-o.

“Now our main goal, to trap, and sedate a male Tyrannosaurus Rex. Henry wants us to take by air, back to the main compound on Tanaco. We will be using a heavy duty copter, to transport the animal. If it is like Henry said it was, the rex should weigh about eight or nine ton. It will be a three day trip back to Tanaco, but hey, we will at least have waiters and service,” smiled Snare. He was trying to make something good out of a bad situation.

The crew nudged at each other. Service. Something they haven’t seen in two weeks.

“As of now we have a hour, as you see, Downer has our bait. Everyone is position. Prepare to go home with a eight ton beast,” said Snare.

The men huffed off into the outer rim of the long grassy field. All of them was well trained, Snare himself couldn’t see them when they was position. Him and Downer crouched directly on the trail behind the dead carcass. Perfect shots, they would have to hit exactly at the same time, or the rex will spot of the crew members. If they hit at the same time, it wouldn’t know where it was getting attacked from. Brilliant.

Twenty minutes passed, no rex. The air was getting humid. The wind was blowing the smell of the Parasaurolophus directly into Snare’s face. The smell of decay was terrible. The island would be perfect if the weather was normal, and if they wasn’t any dinosaurs roaming around.

Downer’s hand radio crackled softly. Mud was pasted to the speaker. Downer rubbed the mud off the radio, it was going to make it difficult to hear in it.

    “Come in.”

The words seemed misplaced but they knew what the message was. The tyrannosaur was coming, from the east side of the field. At the message, Snare motioned at the hidden crewmen. James and Downer stared tirelessly at the eastern side of the field.

The large massive head of a Tyrannosaur emerged from the dark jungle it preyed in. The rex had smelt the dead carcass a mile away, but it seemed that it had a small meal on the way. The victim’s blood dripped from the gigantic jaws of the Tyrannosaur.

Snare was sent to the island to capture this ungodly beast and bring it back. He specialized in the theropods, especially the tyrannosaur groups. He knew their reactions, their instincts, and their abilities. The tyrannosaur was a hunter and a scavenger. Right now, this proves that the rex was a part-time scavenger.

The entire body of the rex was now in view. Snare could see that it was surveying the area. The glare in it’s eyes, ran a shiver up Snare’s spine. The rex was smart, it made sure no other predator was around while it was beginning to feast. The tyrannosaur slowly wobbled out into the center of the field. Made one more survey, and began to feast on the dead carcass. Once the flesh was ripped opened, the stench got worse. Downer could see one visible crew member vomit. The smell was stomach turning.

James Snare took aim, slowly raised his hand and thirty six tranquillizer darts zoomed out of hidden barrels in the jungle. Each dart piercing into the neck of the rex. Downer made a mistake. He had shot too late. The tyrannosaur was fixed on the pair that sat on the trail.

“ That’s not good. Stay still,” whispered Snare. His gazed was fixed with the Tyrannosaur’s stare.

The rex roared with fury, and then stepped over the half ate carcass. It was going to charge. The rex roared once again, and began to take speed. It was running directly at Snare and Downer.

“Stay absolutely still. No movement,” whispered Snare.

The rex was running at full speed, closing in at thirty feet, twenty feet, ten feet, stopped. The massive beast staggered helplessly, and then with one last moan, it fell to the soft ground. The tranquillizers worked, and just in time. Snare turned to Downer, he wasn’t there.

“Downer! Where are you?” shouted Snare.
Under the tall grass, Snare found Downer. He has passed out. Too much excitement James guessed. From across the field the crewmen stepped out into view. They hurried over to their prize. They was finally going to go home. Home, a beautiful word to think of, a soothing place.

Snare reached in his pocket for his water bottle. He opened it up and poured some on Downer. Several coughs, Downer was back on his feet.

“Did we get?” asked Ray Downer.

“Yeah, call the transport. We are getting out of here.”

As Downer made the call on the muddy radio, the crew attached large bulky cables to the tyrannosaur. All of their supplies was being packed as a large black heavy duty helicopter appeared over the horizon. The transport. The copter lowered itself into the field. Downer was the first to get aboard. Three crew members attached the large cables to the bottom of the helicopter. Once that task was finished, they all got aboard. Snare latched the sliding door, and the helicopter began to take off. The cables to the rex was beginning to tighten.

    BOOM

The whole helicopter shook. Something hit it on the outside. Snare looked out the side glass, the tyrannosaur was still asleep. What caused it? Snare kept asking himself. The cables couldn’t snapped and made such a impact. The answer looked at him through the window. Another Tyrannosaur was attacking the helicopter.

Downer shouted, “Tyrannosaur on both sides!”

Two tyrannosaurs was attacking the transport. They must been a in a pack. They had tricked them. The male tyrannosaur was sent out to distract the crew, while the other two circled the perimeter. They were too smart.

The side glass shattered unto Snare’s lap. The roars of the tyrannosaurs outside, sounded as if the earlier storm had come back. The helicopter rocked back, breaking the tail. The blades on top of the helicopter was broke off, lying in the field. The sliding door was broken open by the first impact. The door was open.

“Through the door! We have to get out, or we will get killed!” shouted Snare with strangled voice.

Several member s dashed helplessly out the door. Snare made a run for it, dived out the sliding door, into the muddy field. The tyrannosaurs was still distracted by the helicopter and the screams of the helicopter pilots. He couldn’t do anything to help them. They were going to die. He had to keep running. Snare could see Downer running for his life into the jungle. Snare followed, knowing what lies in the jungle is a lot more treacherous than the beats they are running from. The raptors are in there, waiting for them, somewhere. He could still hear the repeating screams of the trapped crewmen and the pilots. They were dead, all dead. Downer was the only one he could see at the time, running away.

The plan seemed perfect. The bait, the trail, the male tyrannosaur’s capture, but they had traveled in packs. That changed everything. He didn’t know where he was running, but he hoped it took somewhere safe, somewhere away from the carnivores. He could see Downer ahead, resting in the darkness. He must have been the only one left.

    Paleontology University

Dr. Alan Grant was crouched down over a small remain of a infant Velociraptor. He brushed away the dust and sand from the bone fragments, trying to clean it. He had learned in Snake Water Montana, nothing will ever be clean. He had did many research excavations in Montana and in closer areas, and found most of his prize processions. Ever since he came back from Isla Sorna is 2001, everything seemed to be a living it up high life for him. He went to several paleontologist meeting, explaining the Velociraptor theory. The theory had made him rich, he had created his on paleontology school, called Grant University. Ever since his last trip to the islands, he became a idol for several college students. The paleontology science became twenty percent more popular in one year. He had gained over two hundred student in the past two years. One old student returned, Ellie Sattler.

The sun beamed down on Grant’s bare neck. His clothes was more dusty than the fossils. He had been working on this small project for a day. He wasn’t going to get any money out the skeleton, but he enjoyed digging it. That was his job, he wanted to be it when he was a little kid. He got what he wanted, was that alright? To him is passion for dinosaurs was his life. He considered getting married but, the kids. He had grown to like them, but owning them? Out of the question.

From the sight of the lifeless fossil, he can feel the Velociraptor, watching him, planning out it’s attack. They are a good hobby to learn about, until they start to chase after you. Grant continued to brush off the dust. The sun was gazing into Grant’s eyes, until Ellie Sattler walked up in front of his. Grant looked up at her with a smile. Anyone who would look at her would think, that’s a very successful young woman. After all she was a teacher at his university, but still a student to Grant. Everyone who seen her thought she was a very beautiful woman, until they seen the ring on her finger.

“Billy is looking for you, he has to talk about another theory he has on the Dimetrodon,” she said, shaking her head.

“I thought he was studying Suchiominus species?” asked Grant. Billy had followed him on every adventure, he was interested in everything, plus he didn’t act like a kid anymore.

“He was, yesterday. You know how Billy is, he wants to know everything. Before he went to the island with you, he had been very interested in the Pteranodons,” said Ellie, she put her hands on her hips.

“Wonder why he stopped?” grinned Alan Grant. He knew he shouldn’t joke about Billy’s accident with Pteranodons, since he did almost get killed by them.

Ellie leaned down to examine the fossil remains on the infant.

Raptors, her most hated dinosaur. She still has nightmares about them, Alan even had some at one time. Ever since he came back from the last trip, he hadn’t complained none about the nightmares no more. He had learned something on the island that relaxed his mind. Ellie wanted that knowledge, she always dreams of being a long hallway, running away. When she gets to the door at the end it is locked. She always looks back, and sees two raptors walking toward her. Slowly they come forward, a deaf walk. Then she wakes up.

    Her thoughts ended.

“What do you think?” asked Grant.

“Perfect example to show your class on Tuesday. Are you still making them read all fourteen of your books?” asked Ellie, her thoughts seemed to
clear when she haves a ‘normal’ conversation with Alan. Mark was always busy at work, and she had to take care of the children. Now since Mark was off from work for the month, he got to spend time with the children, while she helped Alan out on his research and teaching classes.

“By any chance, could you give me a ride back to the university?” I have a lecture to do in a hour.”

“Sure, get in the truck,” replied Ellie, glad to help Alan out some way.

“What about the remains?” asked Grant.

“They aren’t going to get up and walk away.”

“I hope not,” smiled Grant, as he got in the Chevy Duley.

Ellie Sattler started the ignition, and drove off down the road, leaving a cloud of dust around the small excavation site. Ellie looked at Grant.

“Your not wearing that to the lecture are you?” asked Ellie, Alan’s Shirt was dusty, his pants had dirt coming out his pockets.

“Why not? I believe the whole dusty shirt idea gives me more of a paleontologist look.”

Ellie smiled. She could never get ahead of Grant. He always has a combat.

As they drove into the parking lot of the large university. Grant, dusted his hat off. The parking lot was full with college students, which Grant loved to see. More people being interested in prehistoric creatures and environments. Grant looked down at the pavement, where he stood.

“Have we excavated this area before they built the university?” asked Grant, scratching his chin.

“Alan, you are not going to dig up the parking lot. You still have your little site up in Snake Waters.”

“It was a Joke, Ellie,” replied Grant.

They opened the tinted glass doors, the sensation of cool air relaxed Grant. Being outside for six hours in 108 degrees of heat, really makes you want to have a fan. But air condition.

Grant and Sattler walked down the main hall, until they reached a large room. Above the entrance door of the room, stated the name, Research Facility. It was where Billy worked his long days at to discover newer qualities about several different species. Billy was growing up.

They entered the room. The room was white, unlike Grant’s clothes. The walls was covered with technology. Grant despised computer machines. They do all of the digging now.

From the corner of the room Billy Brennan walked out with charts in his hand.

“Hello Billy, you wanted to see me?” asked Grant.

“Good day, Dr. Grant. I was needing you to look at some of these samples. They are of two Dimetrodon, each at a different age.”

“Okay, where are they?” asked Grant, looking at the blank tables.

“On the wall, look at the x-rays. They explain everything.”

Alan stared blankly at the x-rays.
“Oh, I forgot, you hate computers and their supplies. I shall explain. The Dimetrodon on the left is at same age as the one on the right. But the one on the left lived longer than a normal Dimetrodon. They have been many other cases of this happening, but what are the chance of two being born at the same time die at different ages, without any harm?”

“Well, the Dimetrodon species has many mysteries, but this is, like you said, a common subject. But one question, why is the skull on Dimetrodon on the left larger than the one on the right?” asked Grant.

“Because Alan, One adapted to it’s environment. Learning how to protect itself, live longer, and get smarter. The one on the right need not adapt. It died at normal age. Alan, raptors wasn’t the only dinosaur that got smarter,” said Billy. He had really grown up.

“Billy, you was right about the raptor communicating back to one and another, but this is out your and my league,” said Alan Grant. He thought the explanation was satisfying, but dinosaurs getting smarter. They was already lethal. He needed more evidence.

“Alan, I can prove this in time. Just like I did with the raptor communication. This time, I don’t got a time limit, I have the right staff to help me,” replied Billy.

“It’s good work, and I know you can prove it. I just say that to make you a challenge. That’s what you need. Where’s your assistant?” asked Grant.

“I seen Hunter walking down to conference room,” said Ellie, “he must went to get something to drink.”

Grant nodded and waved to Billy. He walked out into the hall. He had made Billy a excellent Paleontologist. He was very intelligent. Good teenager, he wasn’t a kid anymore.

Down the hall, the conference room door opened and Hunter Bowman walked out. He was sipping on a cup of coffee. He reared his head back in disgust.

“Dr. Grant, who made this coffee?” asked Hunter, staring at the cup.
Alan nodded his head at Ellie. She had made the coffee. Hunter shook his head.

“Because it Taste wonderful,” Hunter quickly replied.

“Thank you Hunter. Glad you like, because I am fixing it this entire week,” said Ellie Sattler smiling.

“Your welcome Mrs. Sattler. I will enjoy it every time I drink it,” said Hunter staring down at the black coffee.

“Hunter, why aren’t you down there helping Billy with his Dimetrodons?” asked Alan Grant.

“Dimetrodons? I thought he was studying Ankylosaurus,” said Hunter.

“He learns everything Hunter, you should too, now get down there and help on the z-rays,” said Grant.

    “Z-rays?” asked Hunter.

    “Just go, just go.”

Ellie turned to walk back outside. Grant watched as Hunter walked down the hallway, he stopped and stared at the coffee several times before he threw it in the trash. Before Alan could turn and follow Ellie, a younger student walked up to him. A kid. She seemed to keep smiling at him.

“I got your mail, Mr. Alan,” replied the girl. She wore a barney shirt.

    I hate barney… thought Grant.

“Thank you very much, little girl. Go play,” said Grant, as the girl handed him a letter. It wasn’t a bill. Thank God.

It was a invitation to a theme park. Must be a Disney Land coupon saver. The letter had Grant and Sattler written on it. He stuffed it in his pocket, he had to tell Ellie the lecture was going to start.

Alan Grant walked outside into the humid air of Montana. It was hot. Too hot. Ellie was talking with some students of hers, probably how to get extra credit. Grant motioned for her to come to the doors. She finished explaining to the students and hurried over to Alan.

    “What is it?”

“The lecture is going to start in ten minutes,” replied Grant.

“Okay, what’s that in your pocket?” asked Ellie, as she pulled out a white envelope.

    “Some invitation, probably Disney Land.”

Ellie opened the letter. She pulled out a folded letter, the symbol at the top of the page, took her breathe. The symbol of Jurassic Park. Alan read the letter to himself.

“What does it say?” asked Ellie.

“Henry Wu, the genetics guy from the first island has created a new theme park, on Isla Tanaco. He was in business with Hammond Corporation. They did the project secretly, and they are wanting us to come and stay for the week.”

“I thought Hammond died?” asked Ellie, the letter was confusing. The envelope even had four tickets to the island.

“Henry must have continued the construction on the park. Now it’s finished, all he wants is for us to come to his park. He is insane.”

“But at the bottom of the letter, says that the park is well protected, secure, and safe. Maybe it isn’t like Hammond’s park. It may be better. What do you think?” asked Ellie. The look on her face, showed what she was thinking. Why would someone do this again? After all that has happened in the past?

“I don’t know, but if we go, we could shut him down if anything goes wrong. We don’t want any of this nightmare to come back to haunt us again.” said Alan. He was right, it had to be stopped before anything goes wrong. If they do go, Ellie may have a chance to learn what can stop her nightmares. Billy could learn more about his theory, and Hunter can see live dinosaurs. But what if something goes wrong?

“Well, I will go and tell Billy and Hunter. Your going to have to cancel your lecture for today. We have to check this out, we are already part of it,” said Ellie, her look grim.

Alan nodded, and Ellie walked back inside the university. Alan stood staring blankly at the landscape. One thought stuck in his mind, as he held the invitation. I am going back…

    Amazon Photo Suite

“Ah crap!” shouted Nick Van Owen as he fell from a rather large tree.

He was sent to the Amazon, to get some high quality photos of Lions and Tigers. He was scouting out some good locations while up in the tree, until the branch broke. He sat looking up at the tree for which he fell. Why did I come here?

“Big tree,” Nick said aloud to himself.

He got up dusting himself off. He checked his camera for any scratches. It was okay. If he had knew that getting those rare dinosaur pictures in 98 would lead him to where he was now, he would have settled for a toll booth worker. His boss sent him all over the world to get rare pictures. The dinosaur photos was his rarest, but they say the pictures was at bad views, angles, and such. Nick quit the company for a month and couldn’t find a job, he had to go get re-hired. He didn’t get it, dinosaur pictures, who else could get dinosaur pictures? No one. He needed a break.

Nick walked around, until he made his way to a small plain. Several lions was resting under a large tree in the center of large plain. Nick could see the young cubs roll and jump over their sleeping mother. Nick smiled at the scenery, a wonderful sight. To Nick, the world was a beautiful place, it held many surprises. Six years ago he wouldn’t of thought so, until he was sent to Isla Sorna on a research expedition. The world thought dinosaurs went extinct, sixty five million years ago, who would of thought they inhabited a large island off the coast of Costa Rica?

Nick raised the camera up to his eyes, and began taking pictures of the lions and the scenery. The silence of the scenery was broken, Nick could hear the thumping blades of a helicopter approaching. The lions, alarmed by the mysterious sound, got up from their rest and walked into the jungle. Nick looked up in shining sky, to see a Marine Helicopter landing.

Nick walked over to the helicopter and waited at the sliding door. Why would the marines want to see me?

The large metal door slid open. A man in a black suite held out his hand for Nick to come in. Nick couldn’t trust him, no one comes out in the middle of no where, knows exactly where you was at.

“What do you want?” Shouted Nick, trying to be heard over the thumping of the helicopter’s blades.

“My name is Jack Thorne, I was sent here to take you to Costa Rica. You must come with me,” replied the man. He looked series, and so did the three guys behind him.

“I don’t know you! You may try to kill me and dump my body in the Amazon,” replied Nick.

“Mr. Owen we don’t want to do this the hard way.”

“What’s the hard way?” asked Nick.
The three men behind Thorne, stood up and jumped out of the helicopter. They surrounded Nick and lifted him up into the copter. He couldn’t bother struggling, because the men that held him had to be 300 pounds.

“I am very sorry for this acquaintance under this circumstance. But my boss needs your help. There is a bed for you in the back, if your tired,” said Thorne.

“Nah, You might try to kill me in my sleep,” replied Nick. He sat thinking, what are they wanting me for?

“No reason to wait until we get to Costa Rica, I might as well tell you why my boss wants you,” said Thorne.

“Tell me the whole thing,” said Nick, he really wanted to know why they came and got him out of his photo suite. This is going to come out of my salary.

“Several weeks ago, my boss Henry Wu, sent a tracking team out on Isla Nublar. Their goal was to bring back a male tyrannosaur. They had stayed for many days, hunting for the rex, but it seems when they captured one, they lost contact with the base on Isla Tanaco. Our operators can’t figure out why, their last transmission was that they was coming home, and had captured a tyrannosaur.”

“Why does this involve me?” asked Nick.

“Dr. Wu wants you to go to Isla Nublar, and find the tracking team. And to secure them until a transport arrives,” replied Thorne.

    “I am doing this alone?”

“No, you will be accompanied by several other members, that know a little about the land. I will be going with you there.”

“What about the island restrictions? Wouldn’t the government have to stop us?” asked Nick, he had read all of the articles on the island chain. He became interested in the inhabitants and area they lived in.

“We have learned that the government keeps a very close eye on the islands, and they watching non-stop between 1:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Which makes us have only one hour to get in there, and get our stuff off of the shore and into the jungle before 1:00 a.m.” replied Thorne.

“So we are going by night? Would we know what we are doing. And by shore, do u mean we are going by water?”

“Yes Mr. Owen. I expect you to get a good ‘days’ sleep in before you go. It’s hard to go to asleep on that island,” replied Throne.

“Well, this can help out a bit, I can take some photos of the dinosaurs on Nublar and on Tanaco. They are dinosaurs on Tanaco right?”

Jack Thorne smiled. What kind of question is that?

“Get some rest Mr. Owen,” said Thorne as he got up from a metal bench and walked to the cock-pit.

Nick looked at his surroundings, the three large men was still watching him.

“Look, guys, I can’t get away now if you was going to kill me.”

The men shrugged and began reading old magazines. Food Magazines.

    Big and dumb.

Nick looked out the window, the Amazon forest was gone, they had left it. The ground now that they flew over was desert, dry endless desert. Everything was happening too fast, he was sent to the Amazon to take pictures of lions, and now he is being sent to a island with dinosaurs to rescue a man that he never seen before. What next?

From the cockpit, Throne watched as the land of Costa Rica became into view. The area did not call for his black suite, it was more of a rough area. More up his alley, he was the rough type. Black suites and clean ups was insignificant to Thorne.

Jack Thorne had met Henry Wu at a world wide knife show. From first sight, Henry wasn’t the kind of man that was interested in knives, but science. Henry had went to the knife show, looking for a park ranger for his top secret project being held on a Large island. Henry had said that he might have heard of the project, but who would have thought Jurassic Park?

He had been helping Henry for two years, Hammond was the man that got him interested in the project. Mainly since Hammond had paid his expedition on Isla Sorna (Site B). They had been keeping in touch for quite some time. Now that Hammond had passed away, Jack helped Henry on his free time. Unfortunately Jack was on his free time, and this incident occurred.

“We will be staying at a hotel for the next two days. If you don’t have any extra clothes, I will be glad to buy you some. My boss said get what ever you,” said Throne, looking back at Nick.

“This might just be my lucky day,” smiled Nick Van Owen.

    Airport Reunion

The boredom of a airport. Alan Grant stood beside the large glass doors, watching the minute hand on the clock. Grant had drove all the way from Montana to a Costa Rican airport. He had brought Ellie, Billy, and Hunter for the trip. If they was going to this new park, the least they could do is get something out of it. Hunter was always fascinated by dinosaurs, and had been eagerly waiting to go to Jurassic Park. Billy could test his theory on the evolution of dinosaurs and their brain activity during their life time. Ellie, she had no reason, or at least she showed none. She must just want to go with Grant.

They had been waiting for the plane to get ready for two hours. They was the only ones in the small airport, besides a group of young Costa Ricans.

Grant heard the sound of a shutting car door, not bothering to look outside to see who it was, the large glass doors swung open, piercing Alan Grant to the stone wall. Bending his hat over his face. The shape of a very tall man walked in the room. It was chaos scientist, Ian Malcom.

“Hey, Ellie! What a surprise to see you here. You here on business? Where’s that old Grant at?” asked Malcom.

“Here,” replied Grant, as he pushed the door away from his face. “We are here on business, what about you?”

“Business, some guy sent me a email inviting me to his park. Don’t they ever learn that it isn’t going to happen?”

“Damn, you got invited?” said Grant sarcastically. He looked at Ellie, sitting on the torn couch.

“Yes, Dr. Grant. Every park needs a inspection now don’t it?” asked Malcom. Grant nor Malcom ever got along, they didn’t like each other from the first sight.

“Well, the ticket lady said we will be leaving soon,’ interrupted Billy Brennan.

“Thank you Billy. This is Ian Malcom,” said Grant.

“Dr. Ian Malcom. That reminds me, you didn’t hear about me getting married again did you?”

He got married? Who the blazes would marry him?

“Her name is Sarah Harding, right now she is away in Kenya,” said Malcom.

Of course, she is away. I bet she stays away too.

“I know Sarah,” said young Hunter Bowman, “I used to work with her on the predators.”

“You must be Hunter Bowman, Sarah has spoken a lot about you. I see that you are still in the same kind of work,” said Malcom.

“Yes, I find predators and dinosaur quite interesting,” said Hunter.

“Trust me, you won’t after you come back,” grinned Malcom.

The glass doors opened again, and a tall, blonde haired young man walked into the airport’s lobby. His familiar face brighten Grant’s day. He wouldn’t be bored out of his mind while going to this island.

“Tim! Long time, no see. How have you been?” asked Grant. He had learned a lot about Tim Murphy while they tried to survive together on Isla Nublar.

“Good to see you Dr. Grant. I had got a letter from Mr. Henry Wu, about his park. I am guessing you all did too.”

    “Sadly,” replied Ian Malcom.

“Hello Dr. Malcom. I read all of the articles about your rescue mission on Isla Sorna. Tough trip, I am glad you made it” said Tim, “I also read all of the articles on your trip to Sorna also Dr. Grant. It seems that your experience there changed your point of view on the dinosaurs.”

“Yes Tim, I learned a lot more about the Velociraptors, and their evolution. My apprentice paleontologist, Billy Brennan, is planning on proving his theory of the change of intelligence in the dinosaurs,” said Alan Grant.

“That’s very cool, I may need to run some documentaries on you and Mr. Brennan for my museum.”

“You have a museum now?” asked Ellie.

“Yes, Maine’s largest Museum and Ancient and Present History. I several articles about your findings in Montana Dr. Grant. I would like to purchase some of your recent remains that you found. I would be willing to give a good price for them.”

“Wow, a museum. You grew up a lot, I have to come up there and check it out. I too, have did some construction and made Grant University. It shows all of my recent finding, and all of the theories my group has made.”

“Yes, I read in New York times about the university. It seems that you got a lot more teenagers interested in Dinosaurs,” said Tim.

“The ticket lady said the plane is now boarding,” interrupted Ian Malcom.

“Well then, let’s go,” said Ellie Sattler, as she picked up the luggage.

“He we go again,” said Billy Brennan, he was hoping that everything would be normal, safe and no giant birds.

They walked through the metal detectors and then walked outside unto a small air field. A field that could hold only three planes at the same time. A airplane guide waited at the airliner’s door, waving at them to come.

As they entered the plane, they realized that the plane was old, it’s interior dusty, and torn seats. Not the best comforting way to travel.

“Is this plane safe to travel on? I mean, It looks like it came out of a junkyard,” asked Hunter, the plane seemed reckless, and unsafe to travel by.

“No worries my friend, this is the best plane in all Costa Rica. It has made 32 out of 43 travels to the Untied States,” replied the co-pilot as he buckled himself in tightly.

“What about the other ten flights?” asked Hunter.

“We didn’t make it all the way,” said The pilot, in a silent voice.

“But we will make it today!” shouted the co-pilot. He seemed unskilled and new to the job. The pilot looked as if he was high, or on sleeping medicine.

“Do you have parachutes? Rafts?” asked Hunter, he was all about being safe.
“Well, I got a book bag, if that helps any,” replied the co-pilot.

“Hunter, just set back, and relax,” said Ellie, she buckled up, and heard the sound of the engine start. The plane began to take off into the air. They was going back to the island chain, once more. Hopefully she could relieve herself from the nightmares that she had been continuously having night after night.

Watching the ocean below them, Grant remembered the horrors of Jurassic Park, the raptors. He knew Henry Wu wouldn’t invite them to his park if it was unsafe. Hammond’s park was secured, by a worker caused the whole park to malfunction. It would be accepting visitors right now, if it wasn’t for that one man. All the things one man could do, to stop all things from going right. It could happen to any park, even Disney Land. All park’s have faults.

Grant looked over at Ellie, sitting beside him. He smiled. She was reading his latest book over raptors and birds.

“I am glad you’re here with me Ellie,” said Grant. He wouldn’t know what to do without her.

“Well, I couldn’t just leave you alone. Since after all I have helped you every time in this kind o situation,” replied Ellie, she was right. Every time Alan had trouble, she helped him. Grant didn’t know how to repay her for her kindness, but she knew he was grateful.

Hunter Bowman and Billy Brennan was in the back row of seats, viewing important theories made by paleontologists all over the world. Billy, searching for his theory or a relation to it, learned that no other paleontologist had tested the theory for further study. This theory could make him rich, if he was correct.

Tim was the unlucky one, he was setting beside Dr. Malcom.

“You do know the fact that, this park, will indeed have a major fault. Every theme park has a fault, no matter what,” said Malcom. He shared no good events that could to this new park, only the bad ones.
“Well maybe this park will be different Dr. Malcom, it may just be a small park, but it could be secure,” replied Tim Murphy.

“I didn’t say it wasn’t secure, I said all theme parks have faults. Which means in my case, it could have trouble breeding the dinosaurs and cause a dinosaur to be mutated. A storm can come in and knock down the fences, releasing the dinosaurs, a earthquake could occur and cause the building with the breakers to fall, causing the elec-”

“I know that, but just look at the good specs of the park,” interrupted Tim.

“Last time I viewed the good specs I ended up being chased into a bathroom by a tyrannosaurus, and plus injured my leg,’ replied Ian Malcom.

“Whatever you say Dr. Malcom. I have a different opinion about this whole park idea,” said Tim, he turned to Alan Grant, setting two seats in front of him. Grant turned to Tim.

“At least someone agrees with me,” smiled Grant.

From the back of the plane, Billy shouted, “I see the island!”
Isla Tanaco emerged from the mists of the ocean, as the small plane drew closer to it’s unknown holders.

As they lowered toward the island, from above Hunter could see a long river, flowing into a large lake in the center of the field. A large, rocky mountain range surrounded the island’s borders. Joined by the mountains was the dense jungle. As the visitors viewed in awe at the scenery, the bent intercom crackled on. The co-pilot’s voice was loud and clear, “Welcome to Jurassic Park everyone. I hope you will enjoy your stay, we will be landing at the Jurassic AirField 2 in sixteen minutes.”

Ahead, Billy could see the airfield, a giant, concrete made air tower stood at the end of the runway. Three Jeep Liberties was parked beside the steel gates that separated the airport and the tour road. The plane lowered even closer to the ground, the landing gear was already in working order.

Once the small plane landed on the rough pavement of the airfield, the visitors, emerged one by one out of the plane. As Ellie exited the plane, she peered up into the cloudless sky to see the gleaming sun of Isla Tanaco. A young man walked from the jeeps toward the group of newcomers. His hair parted in the middle, his eyes shaded by his sunglasses. He reached out his to greet Dr. Grant first.

“Good day, my names Jay Jackson. I am our tour guide for this week. Mr. Wu is very pleased to have you here to view his park.”

“Good to meet you,” said Grant. He scanned the airfield, noticing several large electric fences bordering the foliage area of the park.

“If you may, please get in the Jeeps. I would like for you all to meet Mr. Wu,” said Jay Jackson. He turned toward the liberties and departed from the group.

Malcom shrugged and followed. They was separated into groups to fit in the three liberties, Alan, Ellie, and along with Billy Brennan got in the vehicle with Jay Jackson. Grant had several questions to ask Jackson about the park.

Jay turned the key in the ignition, and began to follow a paved road through the jungle. Both sides of the road was bordered by the electric fences. Each fence had large steel bars holding them in place, with barbwire at the top. On numerous bars, a sign showed caution, 5,000 volts. It was 5,000 less volts than the original fences on the first island.

“Why are these fences, lesser charged than the other ones on the first island?” asked Ellie Sattler. Lesser volts could mean weaker barriers.

“Well, our engineers figured that if we cut down the volts, and widen the cage area by two miles, the dinosaurs would have no reason to attack the fences. If they did, they wouldn’t get as angry and strike the fences over and over. We here, want to make it seem as if the dinosaurs are still free, but still separated from the humans.”

“What pen is this that we are driving by?” asked Billy Brennan, he hadn’t noticed any signs indicating the dinosaurian species that it contained.

“These fences hold nothing but several birds and lizards. No dinosaurs. The construction workers made this a route to only the visitor center and the small museum. Plus it’s going from the airport. We don’t want to give that much away for the people that never heard of Jurassic Park,” replied Jay Jackson.

“How many causalities have occurred during the construction and containing of this park?” asked Grant, this was his most significant question going through his mind.

“Well, none. We have had one injury. Turner got his finger bit by a trike.”

“Hammond’s park had several accidents while just containing the raptors on his park. Why haven’t this one had any problems?” asked Grant.

“Hammond had helped on this project several times before he passed away. But Henry had known what he was doing all along. Intelligent man Henry is,” replied Jackson. He watched the JP air freshener dangle from his mirror.

“How big is this island?’ asked Ellie, she was viewing the compact map Jay had given her before she got in the jeep.

“Let’s just say it’s three times bigger than Sorna.”

“Have you ever been to Sorna?” asked Billy. He was trying not to ask as many questions, because he was interested in the primal scenery of the island.

“Twice, when we went to get the Spinosaurus group.”

“Group? They are more than one?” asked Grant. His expression grim. He could hardly bear the thought of two Spinosaurs.

“Yeah, they were six of them I think. One really big one, it was the alpha male. It is green, with two yellow strips across the fin,” replied Jay. He was sued to all of the questions. When Hammond came to visitor, all he did was answer scientific questions, and answer long hypothesis’s.
“The one I seen on Sorna was a brown one. Do you got that one?” asked Grant.

“Yeah, it is the middle aged one.” smiled Jackson. He had read some newspaper reports about the kid on the island, stuck with prehistoric beasts.

“How much further until we get to the visitor center?” asked Ellie. She was eager to meet Henry Wu. She wanted to know the future plans of his park.

“Visitor Lodge you mean. Henry wanted to make it sound a little different from the other park,” corrected Jay Jackson. “It is one more mile to we get there.”

    Visitor Lodge

As the two jeep liberties parked in front of the large building, a middle aged woman walked outside on the stairs of the visitor lodge to greet them. She wore a long white lab coat, a black skirt underneath. Her blonde hair blew across her face as the island breeze swept through. Alan Grant watched as she stood watching the new comers exit the jeeps. Grant was the first to get out, he walked up to the lady.

    “Alan Grant, and you are?”

The woman smiled as she replied, “Emily Carrison, pleased to meet you Dr. Grant. I have read everything about you. All of your novels, I am so glad to finally meet you in person.”

Alan Grant smiled at the Emily. She was the best thing she had seen on this entire trip so far. Plus she knew who he was, yes. The other visitor walked up the stairs to join the two.

“This is Ellie, my partner in paleontology, and these two, Hunter and Billy are my students,” introduced Grant.
“Good to meet you, Emily. What’s your cause in all of this about the park?” asked Ellie. She seemed like a nice woman. About the same age as her.

“I am the chief engineer of the carnivores here on the island. I watch them in the habitats, and how they behave,” replied Emily.

Once all of the visitors joined them on the stairs, Emily guided them inside the visitor lodge. Jay Jackson, departed from them, he had to work some with the carnivores. Inside the visitor lodge, the group realized that it was more expensive than the other center on Nublar. The bright lights that hung from the glass ceiling, shined done on three skeletons. The fossil remains showed a prehistoric scenery, two raptors and a Parasaurolophus. What was so odd about the fossils, they were living animals about three months ago. Their footsteps echoed in the lodge due to the marble flooring. Large drawing of dinosaurs hung from the plastered wall. Emily guided them down a long hallway. They passed several rooms, each had their own meaning. The lab, waiting area, security watch, nursery, and then Henry Wu’s office was at the main end of the hall. Emily knocked.

From inside the room, Henry Wu answered, “Who is it?”

“It’s Emily, the visitors has arrived. They would like a word with you.”

    “Bring them in.”

Emily opened the door, and allowed everyone inside. She closed the door behind Grant. She was going to wait outside.

“Good to see you all here, better yet, glad to see you took my invitation,” smiled Henry Wu. He was a short man, in his thirties. They could tell he was a busy man, due to all of the paper work laying on his messy desk.

“Henry, what are you doing here?” asked Ian Malcom.

“What’s it look like? I am building a much better park. To full fill Hammond’s dream of having a prehistoric park. You mean I sent you a invitation?” replied Henry Wu.

    Malcom sighed.
“Henry, do you think this will work out?” asked Grant.

“Of course it will. I have been working on this project for three long years. No accidents, no injuries, no worries. Everything is going all to plan. Actually, I will be receiving visitors next month.”

“Why did you want us here for?” asked Tim Murphy.

“What could be better than having the real Jurassic park survivors coming to my park to stay for a week?” replied Henry.

“True, that would help. But are your future projects in mind?” asked Tim.

“I am planning to make helicopter rides over the park, to give the visitors a chance to see the wonders overhead. A underground subway, that comes up halfway to the visitor center and gets on the ground between the tyrannosaur and triceratops pen. Boat ride all the way around the park, since you will see most dinosaurs by the water. The many restaurants in mind will be made in a year, all the people think about is food these days.”

“Pretty good plans,” stated Hunter. He looked around the office, noticing a large fish aquarium. Two large prehistoric fish swam in it. “What kind of fish?”

“Let’s say relatives of piranha. That should summarize that up,” replied Henry Wu.

“Ah, when do we get to see the dinosaurs?” asked Hunter.

“Right now, please if you may, tell Emily to take you to the back pen.”

At this, Emily opened the door, and let everyone out into the hall.

“To the spinosaur pen. Follow me,” said Emily as she began to walk back down the hall.

“He is keeping a secret,” whispered Billy Brennan to Grant.

Grant nodded in agreement. Henry was holding something back. But the question is what?

Emily guided them to a large metal door. She opened it and the sun light beamed in the lodge. They walked outside. The wind was picking up. In front of them, was a large electric fence. A bar was welded against the fence, so the visitors could lean on it. Billy peered through the metal bars and fence, but nothing moved inside the pen. All they could see was a river, and some mountains covered with foliage.

    “Where’s it at?” asked Billy.

“Just wait, it has to be drawled out into the opening by another dinosaurian,” replied Emily.

From up the river, a prehistoric Pteranodon glided above the water. It was getting ready to feast on the fish. Hunter Bowman, was stunned by the appearance of the flying beast. It was his first time to see a real live dinosaur.

“You let the Pteranodons and the Spinosaurs live together?” asked Ellie. She watched the large bird glide lower to the water.

“Way not? They are both in need of fish. One lives in the mountains, the other in trees. Keep watching, the show is ready to begin.”

They watched continuously. In front of the Pteranodon, in the water, bubbles began to appear on the surface of the river water. A dark shape grew larger and larger as it’s appreance was about to emerge from the water. Once the Pteranodon gained close enough to the bubbles, the dark shape emerged from the water. The massive 46 foot long Spinosaurus clutched the surprised Pteranodon in it’s jaws and dived back into the water. The surrounding river water turned a dark red, showing the spinosaur had victory over it’s stunned opponent. It had used it’s color to blend in with the water, and wait for the ptero to fly over. A perfect technique to surprise prey.

    “Wow,” replied Grant in astonishment.

“So you let the dinosaurs do that, kill one another?” asked Tim.
“Yes, we treat these dinosaurs like they lived on Isla Sorna and Nublar. They fight for survival, plus the population of one species will never over go the limit,” replied Henry Wu as he walked from the visitor lodge’s doors.

“I understand now. Smart idea putting them together,” said Malcom. His first good statement about the park.

“Thank you. Now if you may, let’s go to the hatchery,” said Henry. He turned and walked back into the building.

Once inside again, Henry Wu took them upstairs, where the huge hatchery covered the entire floor. On one side, the eggs was still being cared for by Jurassic park employees and the newborns was on the other side, being cared for by robotic hands and machines. Ellie walked over to a newborn Ankylosaurus. Unlike the pictures she had of the Ankylosaurus, this one had different coloring. Purple strips on the back plates and light blue around the stomach area. She bent down to examine the infant. The baby looked at her strangely and then head butted the glass container that held it. The glass the container shook, but didn’t crack. Ellie smiled. She thought it was cute.

“What do you think? They are cared for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. All dinosaurs are cared for normally, none has any problems. We release the carnivore at a early stage into their pens, they are lethal after six months. The herbivores are released after 8 months,” said Henry Wu as he peered inside a baby Baryonyx container. The baby was asleep in the corner.

    “Good nutrient?” asked Billy Brennan.

“Yes, we feed the carnivores sheep legs, and the herbivores, any kind of plant,” replied Emily.

“Well now, it is getting late. I am sure you all hand a hard trip, so I will take you all to the bunker room. There you can get a peaceful sleep, and tomorrow, we start tour,” smiled Henry.

Henry left down the stairs. Ian Malcom followed. He had different feelings now about the park since they landed. He had misjudged this place. Everything seemed perfect, but he still had a feeling something was wrong. All parks has faults. The followed behind Malcom. Tim was the last to leave, he took one last look back at the hatchery and noticed a chart of all of the dinosaur on Nublar. He stopped and went back to observe it. A technician stood beside it, writing down notes on his chart.

“May I borrow this?” asked Tim Murphy, as he pointed at the chart.

“Sure, take it. We are finished with it for the week,” replied the worker as he continued the chart writing.

Tim took down the chart off the wall, and started to walk downstairs with it. Some dinosaurs on the chart he never knew his grandfather had made.

    Isla Nublar Dinosaurian List:
    ----------------------------------
    Tyrannosaurus rex

Tim caught up with the group. Henry Wu was explaining something about the bunkers. Tim went inside the door, and found himself looking at a house made inside a visitor lodge. The room was huge, it had a kitchen, bedrooms, living room, restrooms, it had it all.

“I figured something like motel 8. Dang, this place has it all,” said Billy Brennan.

“Well, I call the top bunk!” shouted Hunter in the bedroom.

Tim laid all of his stuff down on the couch. The living room table was made out of fossils and had a glass top. Henry had went all the way with this pleasing the visitor stuff.

“What do you think?” asked Henry.

“Are they food in the freezer we can heat up?” asked Malcom.

“Yep, I believe this place had everything you need,” replied Henry Wu. “I will check with you tomorrow morning, hope you enjoy your stay here.”

Henry left the room with Emily. The group unpacked, and fixed up for the tour tomorrow. Ellie was thinking, will I have nightmares here? She seemed relaxed here, never was wrong with the place. Maybe she will find out what could stop here nightmares.

Billy was on the couch, trying to find a channel on the television. All he could find was JPChannel, it was like a learning channel about dinosaurs, and attractions on the park. Hunter Bowman was at the kitchen, trying to find some food. He dragged out some sirloin tips, he licked his lips.

Grant was thinking about one person, Emily. He had felt this way one time in his life, and that was when he met Ellie. What could be the odds of him going to a dinosaur island, meeting a beautiful woman. Plus she knew who he was, read all of his novels. Hopefully she feels the same way about me.

    Tracking Secret

The bunker room door quietly opened, and Emily stepped in. She made her way into the bedroom where Alan Grant slept. She bent down to his face level.

“Dr. Grant,” whispered Emily, trying not to wake the others.

Alan shifted in the small bed.

“Dr. Grant,” whispered Emily, a little louder.

Grant slowly opened his eyes to see Emily standing there.

    “Yeah?” asked Grant sleepily.

“Wake Tim, Hunter, Ellie, and Billy. Meet in Mr. Wu’s office.”

“Okay,” replied Grant. He rolled back over in the bed.

    “Dr. Grant, now.”

Grant pushed the covers off of him, and Emily walked out of the room. What now? He slowly stepped over to Tim’s bed and woke him. Telling him to meet in Henry’s office, he went on to Ellie.

Once Alan got the few up from bed, he lead them down to Henry Wu’s office. Emily was standing outside of the door.

“Mr. Wu has something to ask you,” said Emily. She also looked sleepy.

She opened the door and they walked in. Henry was at his desk, filling out forms for the park rangers.

“Sorry to wake you all so late in the night. But I seemed to ran into a problem. I need your help, along with some of my people.”
“What do you need?” asked Billy Brennan.

“Several weeks ago, I sent a crew of trackers in at Nublar to capture a male tyrannosaurus. When they finally captured one, they called me to tell me they was coming home. They never came. My transmission department here says they lost contact with the transport when they took off. We don’t know what happened to them. If the government finds that I sent my people over on restricted lands, and lost them, they will shut me down for good.”

“That’s why you brought us here,” said Tim Murphy. His feeling about not telling the whole story was right.

    “I need you to-”

“You want us to go there to find those men. They might be dead, injured, trapped or being digested through a tyrannosaur by now. You want us to go over there?” interrupted Grant.

“I am also sending some of my men over there,” said Wu.

“Why don’t you just send your ranger leader over there to lead them?” asked Billy Brennan.

Emily glanced over at Henry Wu for a moment.

“The tracking team was lead by the ranger leader,” admitted Henry Wu.

“I know this park was too good to be true. This park could help the study of paleontology for a lifetime. We can learn so many things from this place,” said Ellie Sattler. She looked at Grant. This wasn’t why they came, they came to shut down this place.

“I will make a deal, If we go you have to support us with everything we need to survive. Weapons, food, flares, rope, flashlights, lighters, knives, everything. Plus you must let me put a Grant university on this island,” replied Grant, he wasn’t going to do this trip for nothing. Plus a University would be good here on the island.

Henry Wu smiled at Grant. “Sure.”
“Well, am I going to see more dinosaurs?” asked Hunter Bowman.

“Let’s hope at a safe distance,” replied Billy Brennan.

“Good then, you all should return back to your bunks and get some rest. Big day tomorrow. You will be leaving by ship, tell Malcom that you are going to Nublar in the morning. Sadly I have to stay with him,” smiled Henry Wu.

The group began to leave. Emily departed to her bunk downstairs in the labs.

“Dr. Grant, can you spare some time?” asked Henry Wu.

“I am sure I wouldn’t get any sleep any way, knowing I will most likely get eaten tomorrow.”

“Good, I would like for you to come down to the raptor pens with me. They seem to have a problem down there with the raptors getting out of the fences. They had called me before you arrived,” said Henry Wu.

“Sure I guess, is it safe?” asked Grant. He wasn’t a fan of raptors, they was always the ones that gave him nightmares long ago.

“Of course, my raptor trainer is down there. Turner,” replied Henry, as he reached for his lab coat. “Let’s go.”

Alan followed Henry outside of the visitor lodge and down to the garage. The garage was down under the visitor lodge, packed with dozens of Humvee and Jeeps. Henry went to the nearest liberty, and got in. Grant buckled up and noticed this liberty was different from the others. This one had radar and a tracking system. Henry Pulled out of the garage and got on the dirt road. It must have been a short cut, because all of the other roads was paved.

“So Dr. Grant, you’re a paleontologist, what do you think happened to the dinosaurs that lived 65 million years ago?” asked Henry.

“Well, that’s a unknown answer, but do you want my opinion?” asked Grant.

“Sure, we got awhile until we get there,” replied Henry.

“Well, In the bible, God created earth. Then he put plants and animals on earth. I think he put dinosaurs on the world at this point. You see the bible went straight to God creating man and woman. The setting was in the Garden of Eden. From that point, the bible only told about them in the garden, not what was happening on earth at the time. I think dinosaurs was roaming at this time period, and where the bible has a different way of telling time, Adam and Eve was in the garden for a long time. To us, millions of years passed, then Adam and Eve ate the apple. When God banished them out of the garden for life, that’s when dinosaurs died out. God seen what was going to happen before they ate the apple, so he caused a meteorite to destroy the dinosaurs. It made it safer for us humans to live and grow.”

“Good opinion. Long and enjoyable. But good,“ replied Henry Wu.

They was passing the backside of the hadrosaur pen. Grant could see the large herbivores grazing at the lakeside. They were safe in their pen. No worries was in their minds. Grant’s mind was the same before Henry assigned him to go on this rescue and get out mission.

Ahead they could see sparks flying. Workers was welding a electric fence. Several Wranglers was parked in a line in front of the pen. They had arrived.
Henry parked the liberty and got out. Jay Jackson came walking toward them.

“The damn thing got out again. Same one as last week’s. We put barbwire at the top of the fence, since it jumped it last time. Now the bloody thing dug underneath it! The raptors are getting tow smart, and so are the other dinosaurs here. They are learning more about their environment,” said Jackson. He looked as if he had been up for a long time.

“Is it back in the pen?” asked Grant.

“Yes, everything is secure,’ replied Jackson.

“You said they are getting more intelligent, and learning about their environment,” said Grant.

“Yeah, they are. Last week, the Baryonyx swam up the river and went under the fence into the hadrosaur pen. Killed two of hadros, kept me up all night trying to get them back under the fence.”

Billy was right, they evolved to their environment. They was getting smarter, like the real dinosaurs that lived long ago. This will make the mission more difficult if the dinosaurs on Nublar was like these here.

“Where did these raptors come from?” asked Grant. He wanted to know his chances.

“Nublar sir,” replied a man in a leather shirt. He wore a gray hat with a raptor symbol on it.

“Damn, and you are?” asked Grant.

“Sgt. Turner. I am the raptor trainer. I tame young raptors before they are lethal. I can’t seem to teach these ones from Nublar.”

“Everything will be worked out soon, though. Know we should be heading back to the lodge now. Keep up the good work. You will get a raise for this incident here and fixing it up,” said Henry Wu, he turned and walked back to the Liberty. Grant followed.

As they drove back down the dirt road Grant had to ask a question that was in his mind for a long time.

“Can you tell me who all is going to the island with me?” asked Grant.

“Sure, Ellie Sattler, Billy Brennan, Hunter Bowman, Tim Murphy, Nick Van Owen, Jack Thorne, Jay Jackson, Sgt. Turner, Marko Hanson, Mac Davison, Ken Rogers, and Emily Carrison. You will meet most of these people at the dock tomorrow. Nick Owen had survived site B with Malcom in 1998. They all should come in use for you,” replied Henry Wu.
“Don’t you think you need Turner and Jackson to stay and watch the place with you? And what about Emily, do you think she should go?”

“I have secondary rangers incase something like this happens. Emily wasn’t my idea, she wanted to go because your going,” answered Henry. He had everything planned. “But, there is one small problem, I can’t come and get you until a week after you arrive there. All of the pilots are on vacation for the week, if you find the group, you have to stay alive.”

“That hurt my chances of living,” said Grant. Emily had chosen to go in a hostile area, because he was going. What about Ellie, what if she gets hurt, she is his responsibility. “Sir, I would like for you to take Ellie out of this mission. If she gets hurt, it’s my responsibility, and I can’t watch after her all the time. Plus the danger there, she is a wife and mother. She needs to stay. I will tell her tomorrow morning. Plus Ian needs company.”

“I understand Alan. Watch Emily, she is the best on this island with those carnivores.”

“I will,” replied Grant. H e began to like Emily more and more as he thought about her. Hopefully letting Ellie stay behind in a safe place will be the right choice.

    Ship Cruise

Explaining to Ellie that she wasn’t going with him, was hard. He had to remind her she had a life, children that needs a mom. Knowing that any thing could happen she stayed behind. The chosen group was drove to the dock at the shore of the island. A medium sized ship awaited them. Nick Van Owen was loading supplies unto the deck.

“You must be Alan Grant,” said Nick as he picked up a crate full of ammunition.

“Yes, and you are Nick Van Owen, our chief photographer. Good to meet you. I see that we are both going on this suicide mission.”

“Well the word, suicide sure does help my feelings about this place. I am going to take some photos of these dinosaurs in action. Why do you need so much supplies?” asked Nick. He had been working down at the dock for three hours.

“You’ve been to Sorna right?” asked Grant.

    “Yeah, rough,” replied Nick.

“Think of it, ten times worse.”

Grant walked over onto the ship. He found everything he had asked for. Marko Hanson walked up the ramp to join Grant.

“Good to see that you agreed to go. Marko Hanson. I am your captain of this ship.”

“Good, hope your ship is tough,” replied Grant. He watched as Billy and Hunter began helping Nick load the supplies.

    “Why say that sir?”

“Because we never have good landings when we go to these parks,” grinned Grant. He walked over to pack the wooden boxes up the ramp.

Billy bent down to observe a open box. He came back up with a small square box.

“What are these for Alan?” asked Billy. The square was made of plastic, no chords or anything.

“It’s a heater. It gets cold on those islands at night,” replied Emily walking on the deck to join them.

“Heater? Hell I take one,” smiled Grant, he reached down, and Billy gave him one.
“Didn’t know tropical islands get cold,” said Hunter.

“You have no idea,” replied Grant. He looked up at Hunter and smiled. He knew he should’ve brought Hunter. It was dangerous out there, but it seemed that he was like Billy, tough and eager to have adventure. Alan had grown used to adventure. He was a survivor.

“We leave once Jack Thorne brings the rest of the crew. He should be here any minute,” said Nick Van Owen. He was finished loading the supplies. Nick knew what was going to happen on the island since, he had went to the other several years ago.

The roaring of a Humvee was getting closer. Jack Throne drove the bulky vehicle onto the ship. More supplies was loaded on top of it. Marko Hanson walked over to the hummer and tied ropes around the wheels. Jack Throne got out of the vehicle and walked over to Nick Van Owen.

“Good to see you again, long trip to Costa Rica. I brought more supplies, and four men to help on the expedition. I would like for you all to meet Mac Davison and Ken Rogers. They both are trackers for the park, and been to the island many times. I am sure most of met Jay Jackson and Duran Turner,” said Thorne.

“How many more minutes until we leave?” asked Tim Murphy. He had been down in the cabin of the ship, working on the list of dinosaurs he had gotten. He had learned that on it’s backside was a map of Isla Nublar. It would come in handy for them while searching for the group of trackers.

“Six minutes. Mac, get the anchor up. We will be ready to go. Ken go ahead and cut the rope that holds us to the dock,” commanded Marko. He was a expert ship captain. He had made many cruises to Tanaco with the workers. That’s how he knew everyone by name. But this was his first time to sail into a hostile area at a time limit.

“I thought we was leaving at night,” said Nick. He was remembering what Thorne had told him when they picked him up.

“Well, we was. But would you want to go there at night time and walk around on the beach?” asked Thorne smiling. If they were caught, they could say they was on their way to Costa Rica, and got lost. They still couldn’t take any chances of being caught, because those trackers need to get off that island. Marko was taking them through a rare route to the island, one that hasn’t been traveled on since the shut down in 1993.

    “Point proven,” replied Nick.

Grant helped Emily up the ramp and then up into the ship. She smiled at him as he lead her down into the cabin. Billy stayed on the deck with Tim and Hunter to view the ocean. The ocean holds many secrets. The waves seemed calm and steady. A perfect day to sail. Billy could feel the ship slowly moving from the dock. Nick was taking photos of the island as the departed from it.

Tim was showing Billy and Hunter the map he had got from the hatchery before he left. The island was unlike the landscape he seen when he first went. His grandfather had secret pens, and hidden roads all through the park. The maps they had seen when they went, was fake. The island was swampy and mountainous. That would mean Hammond had only made or showed the visitors the decent sides of the island. What could he have on the other side? By the map, it shows the route they are taking leads to another dock, with a fence surrounding it six miles both ways. They would have to open the fence out in the water, just to get to the beach. The dock must have been used to bring the dinosaurs. But why a fence all the way around it?
Ken Rogers was a expert tracker. He had served six years in the marines. He, like Turner, was highly respected on the island chain. Rogers was also the weapon supervisor. He never went light on the weaponry. He carried two .357 magnums in his jacket, two .9 mm on his belt, sniper rifle strapped on his back, two knives in each boot. Two grenades strapped two his leg. He wanted more to carry on the trip. He had already killed the biggest carnivores that ever lived on this earth, Spinosaurus, Gigantosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, and Tylosaurus. He knew that he will be needed on this trip. If James Snare had trouble, they will have trouble. Snare was Roger’s superior.

“How long have you been a paleontologist?” asked Emily. She was down in the boat cabin with Grant, drinking coffee.

    “Too long,” replied Grant.

“Surely you still have interest in dinosaurs. I have been interested in them since I was a teenager.”

“Yeah, I have a lot of interest in them. I just didn’t expect to be chased by one eleven years ago,” replied Grant, he gave a quick smile to her. She seemed as if she wanted to hear more about him.

“I never been to the islands, except for Tanaco. I stay there, observing the carnivores,” said Emily.

“Well you may have some trouble there. It is hard. It’s hard to see someone get killed right before your eyes, and you couldn’t do anything about it. But you want help them, but there is a barrier between you and them. I almost Billy the last time I came to these islands, but he survived. I am not going to lose Billy and Hunter to these forgotten animals. I will not lose you either,” said Alan Grant.

“We will be okay. Henry gave us his best trackers to help us. Plus we have you and your students to help us,” replied Emily, she placed her hand on his. She smiled. Grant was not going to lose her.

“I hope so, Emily. I hope so.”

Billy Brennan was staring forward. Waiting to arrive to the island. He noticed several seagulls flying overhead, meaning land was near. Ahead, the island of Isla Nublar began to appear from the mists of the ocean. The large metal gates was in view. The ship was aiming at the doors, Marko slowed down the ship. A small platform was welded to the side of bars on the fence. A switch box attached to the railing. Mac Davison stepped out of the boat and climbed up to the platform. He opened the rusted box and pulled down the metal switch. The large metal doors slowly crept open. Marko Hanson drove he ship through it, they was inside the fence now. Before Marko steeped off, he flipped the switch back thinking, I’m sure they are a reason they had that fence there. As the doors closed, the ship made it’s way to the dock.

Marko stopped the ship beside the dock, Mac and Rogers jumped out and latched the ropes to the dock posts. Marko stepped out of the cabin, and lowered the anchor, so the ship wouldn’t float away. Nick had loaded most of the supplies on the hummer while sailing to the island, he got in and drove the vehicle out onto the dock. He went ahead and drove the hummer out onto the beach, and he got out. Tim jumped out onto the dock to join Mac and Rogers. Alan Grant and Emily came out of the cabin. The air was humid. It usually gives people a hard time to breath. Everyone was off the ship, but Marko Hanson. He was making sure no supplies was left. The water was calmer here. The was water was beautiful kind that you can see through. Billy noticed two metal cans on the dock posts. They were filled with fish skeletons. Most be to feed the bigger fish.

“Hey Mr. Hanson, can you get my bag? It’s on the deck,” said Grant. He waited.

“Sure, Dr. Grant,” he replied. He tossed the bag over to Grant. It was a heavy bag, he had never mentioned what was in it. Marko started to walk down the ramp to the dock. As Alan Grant was walking toward the beach, a massive under water create devoured the ramp with Marko on it. Water sprinkled on Grant’s hat and back. He turned, he thought Marko had jumped in the water. He was no where to be seen. Grant could see the ramp ropes hanging loosely by the boat. The ramp most have fallen. Grant started to walk back to help Marko up, that’s when he seen the water had turned to a darkish red color. He had been attacked underwater.

The group on the beach was waving and shouting at him to get off the deck. Alan began to run as fast as he could to the shore. He could feel the under water creature skimming the wooden dock underneath the surface. It was fast, too fast to be a dinosaur. The dock behind him was beginning to break apart, the creature was raising up out of the water again to attack.

At the shore, Emily and Tim could see the dark shape of massive prehistoric creature. The outline had to be 60 foot long, Alan Grant dived to the shore. Even though his face was covered with sand, he began to run toward the group, hoping the creature couldn’t walk on land. Billy and Hunter ran to him.

“Are you okay?” asked Billy. He dusted him off.

“Yeah, one of those breaking boards hit my foot. It may just leave a bruise,” replied Grant. He looked at Emily. She was almost in shock. She hadn’t expected this here. Alan then looked back at his attacker. He could see the outline, knowing exactly what it was.

“Can you tell me what the hell that was?” asked Thorne. He stared in confusion. What the heck was a under water creature doing in Jurassic park?

“That my friend is John Hammond’s money making tourist attraction,” replied Alan Grant, glad to be alive.

“How come every time I come to one of these cursed islands I get stranded? Well at least we still have the boat, but not the captain,” said Tim Murphy. He peered at the boat. The dock was gone to. The ship was just sitting there.

The large under water beast arose out of the water once more, showing it’s identify. The large prehistoric shark rammed the ship, turning it over into the water. The side busted open, and began to fill with water.

“No boat, no captain, no dock, no way off,” stated Hunter Bowman. It seems as if Alan’s nightmares that he told him about was coming to life. They were stuck on this island for a week. Luckily they have the supplies in the hummer. Plus a map of the entire island.

“Megalodon, a prehistoric shark that lived 75 million years ago. I should of expected this. It was on the list,” said Emily. She stared at the red water beside the floating boards.

“Don’t worry, it can’t come on land. Now if we can, please get in the Humvee and we can go to find shelter and the tracking team,” said Mac Davison.

“Sounds good to me,” said Billy Brennan, as he helped Alan up from the beach.

As the all got in the hummer, Tim got out his map of the island. They had to drive down the beach to get to the nearest road. When they got to it, they learned it was a off road. Hammond must’ve considered not opening this attraction up to the tourist. But would any body if your feeders where being eaten by a huge shark? Ken Rogers drove down the path, they passed several signs, telling them where the visitor center and tyrannosaur paddock were. The sky was darken by the huge canopy of trees that towered above them. It gave made a chill run down Grant’s spin to know he was back in the outer rim of the nightmare.
