JP Mainland: Chapter 2 Split Apart (6 weeks later)
    By RaptorVinny500

Thorne called evryone to his lab.
"OK Alan i got everything ready," he said.
"Did you get satphones and a TV connected to satellite?" Alan said.
    "Yep."
"Then lets check how far they went."
The screen showed red dots in a line moving along Flaming Gorge Reservoir. There seemed to be four large dinosaurs at the front.
"The dinos moved along the Rio Grande through New Mexico and followed a series of rivers in Colorado, moved along a river beside Roan Plateau, and coincidentally went past a city called Dinosaur! The group then went to Flaming Gorge reservoir," Thorne said.
Now only Ellie was paying attention to the screen. She suddenly saw something happening.
"Everyone look at the screen! Somethings happening!" she said.
    Everyone looked.
"The pack is splitting apart!" Alan said.
Now there were two lines of red dots, one heading Northeast, the other Northwest. Now there were two large dinosaurs at the front of each pack.
"Why are they doing that!?" said Levine.
"I think they are going to the oceans," Ian said.
"Oh horseshit," Alan said, "we are going to have to have two teams of seven now. Can you make another trailer in four days Doc?"
    "Yes i can," Thorne said.
"Good. The Atlantic pack should be close to my excavation site in four days. Oh and we'll need an extra boat, Jeep, two motorcycles, and another rocket launcher. Each team will have a trailer, three Jeeps, four motorcycles, a boat, two rocket launchers, seven air rifles, pistols, and daggers, 125 pounds of food, and 125 litres of water. Team one will consist of me, Ellie, Muldoon, Gerry Hardng, Mark, Steve, and Gary. Team two will have Richard, Ian, Sarah, Thorne, Marty, Dan, Tony. Team one will get the Atlantic pack, and Team two will get the Pacific pack. Doc, I think the Pacific pack will head this way."
He gave Thorne a map, which showed a line following a series of rivers up to the American Falls Reservoir, then another series of rivers going to Snake River, it kept going north until it hit Ontario City on the border of Oregon and Idaho, then almost straight left following another series of rivers to Crooked River, which went through the narrowest point of the Cascade Range, then followed a river going past Eugene City and onto a city with a port, Reedsport.
"You have to get that equipment ready before the dinos reach Pineville. If I'm wrong you must have the equipment ready before it hits this dark red line i drew. I think the Atlantic Pack will follow this river past Eden City, go across land to Sweetwater River, then across land up to Big Horn River, and I'll cut them off at Glendville. I'll also need fourteen night vision goggles, seven for each team. Have the stuff ready in five days, six at most OK? I'll keep my half of the stuff, your team go back to Sacramento and finish the rest. Just send the goggles in the mail.
"OK. But one thing. Why do we have to destroy them? They are not really harming anyone," Thorne said.
"Because as their population grows, the dinosaurs will make other animals extinct. It'll change the ecosystem. Maybe only raptors will survive, and they'll have to kill other herbivores. OK? Let's get going. There isn't a whole lot of time," Alan said.
    Everyone said goodbye, and left.
